Players find the core loop of breaking ship components relaxing but repetitive. [1][2] Many reviewers criticize misleading trailers that promise full ship dismantling. [3][4][5] Some players report bugs and lack of updates, while others enjoy the game for its low price. [6][7][1]

The gameplay loop is simple - break down ship elements, collect resources, sell, repeat. It is relaxed with no time limits to speak of, but also very little content long-term. It's a fun game for the price tag, but do not be deceived by the trailers - you do not break ships or cut apart hulls, you simply smash equipment placed on the ships. The ships themselves are static elements with zero interaction. For the …

Ship Graveyard Simulator takes a concept you don’t see often in games—dismantling massive, abandoned ships—and turns it into a surprisingly engaging and oddly relaxing experience. It’s not flashy, and it doesn’t try to be. Instead, it leans into its rough, hands-on identity… and that’s exactly where it shines. **Gameplay & Core Loop** At its heart, the game is all about tearing things apart—literally. You explore …

Game is nothing but false advertising. Trailer and photos make it look like your about to break ships and take them apart when in reality you do not do that whatsoever not even once. The ships remain completely intact. Everything you break whether it is barrels, boxes, chairs, consoles, ect all comes apart as if it were made of shale. Just falls to rocky pieces and it looks downright cheap. They spent little to no …

I had a really great time with this game so it's disappointing that I can't bring myself to recommend it. When the game works it's a fun exercise in destruction and I happily sank quite a few hours into it. The problem is that it's an unstable, buggy mess. - On my first save slot I experienced multiple crashes. - That first save slot had to be abandoned when the file corrupted and couldn't be loaded anymore. - On …

I dismantle ships for a living so I've always been curious about this game. I understand that media will take liberties to make things more entertaining for the general audience however this game has gotten so many basic things wrong with what little time I played I can hardly claim this is a sim. For one a freaking sledgehammer of all things would not demolish a solid foundation of metal. At best you're gonna put a few dents in and royally mess up your hands. I wasn't expecting total realism…

after I 100% completed the game, now I can give it a fair review: - games core mechanics are simple, book ships, destroy the same few props on the ship, sell the resources, upgrade your stuff and thats it - game gets repetitive fairly quick because you literally do the same sh*t over and over - there are a few bugs as well for example on some props the crit spot doesnt proc, you cannot always climb the ladders and very rarely you cannot cut through the electrical cabinet - its a game that you…

The images on the Steam Page are misleading. It makes you think that you are playing in a ship graveyard and you can break the ship completely to pieces and sell or craft them. But no, it is just another lazy Unity asset slop, the models are not even interreactable, you can break only some items, and they don't even break, they only turn into small pieces of stones. Absolutely lie and lazy Unity asset slop.

Tried this quite a while ago, after reading recent reviews I'm willing to say it's still not worth getting, even at a dollar. (there's a reason it's constantly going on sale for that price, because it's never been properly updated to fix all the bugs and add meaningful content) Go play Hardspace: Shipbreakers, THAT'S the game you're looking for.

I gave this game a chance but I can't bring myself to leave a positive review. The thing that made me stop playing is the screwed up UI for upgrades. When I select something, it shows something completely different and because of this, some of the upgrades are completely unobtainable. On top of this, apparently it's too hard for the developers to make items stack properly. Moving items around is a pain because they always move only five at a time no matter the stack size. Tearing down massive wrecks piece by piece makes Ship Graveyard Simulator a surprisingly therapeutic time-killer. Sadly, its gear upgrades fall totally flat early on. Without meaningful perks or tools to strive for, breaking down every last vessel turns into a pointlessly hollow exercise. It’s lovely for a brief, relaxed session, but lacks the depth to keep you scrapping.

Boring and shallow. All you do is break stuff that's attached to walls and the deck and collect colored shapes. If you've watched the video on the store page, you have seen literally everything the game has to offer, you'll just be doing the same thing over and over.

Disappointing because it's more of a ship clean up game than a ship dismantling game. They reuse the same assets on every boat that you destroy over and over, so after one or two ships it gets incredibly repetitive. The crafting mechanics are simple which is fine, but there isn't enough storage to collect materials and work on more than one upgrade at a time - which stiffles progress significantly. Overall, it's not an awful game, it just feels lazy and it's a long grind.

Short and simple: Yes it is a OK game, not the best, very buggy and glitchy and will eventually become boring too, and if grinding for achievements can be very painful unless your powered by spite like myself and lock in for it. Would recommend just playing Ship Graveyard 2 instead, much more fun on that compared to this. But again, every first game gotta start somewhere and well that is what this is.

What a long grind for 100% jesus christ. If it wasn't so buggy in the most uncomfortable way possible, maybe it would have been tolerable. Just to name a few of the bugs: 1. The stacking for the inventory works, for the car - doesn't, unless you move everything manually. 2. If you leave the game and boot it up again, any item that you pick up will not stack up to the max value of your upgraded backpack capacity. You'll need to a) sort it manually b) avoid it by opening up the inventory again…

Because I keep getting these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fatal errors that can't be fixed except by deleting the save. And what do the developers say about it? They're unable to help, and you have to delete the save. Ship Graveyard Simulator offers a distinctive simulation experience centered around the industrial and gritty world of shipbreaking. Unlike typical construction or vehicle simulators, this game immerses players in the physically demanding, detail-oriented, and often underappreciated task of dismantling massive ocean vessels for scrap. It’s a slow burn of a game with a hands-on manual labor sim that emphasizes precision, patience, and strategic dismantling over flashy action. At its heart, Ship…

Ship Graveyard Simulator, developed by Games Incubator and published by both Games Incubator and PlayWay S.A., offers a gritty and unorthodox take on the simulation genre. Set on the rust-covered shores of a massive scrapyard, the game invites players to experience the challenging, physically demanding life of a ship breaker. Rather than focusing on high-speed action or traditional strategy, this title puts emphasis on manual labor, attention to detail, and a slow, methodical rhythm. The result…

There’s something really relaxing about cutting through metal, collecting scrap, and slowly clearing out an entire wreck. Very chill destroying game to kill time if you're bored. I wish I could give it a neutral rating. Problems I am having with this is that the game didn't tell you that if you choose dynamites on destroying the items on the ship (like the ones that need the saw, which is boring imo) so while I was doing a bigger ship with lots of sawing objects, I used dynamites instead but they didn't count on the destruction percent so I had to book the same ship again since the destruction count was stuck at…

I enjoyed this game, but I've had so many crashing and saving issues that I cannot recommend it. Save yourself the headache.

Okay I've found a new Elder Scrolls lore channel to listen while I game and I am finding Ship Graveyard Simulator 1 a nice grind to revisit. Which is good. Because the Comedy C Plot I've been dealing with is definitely reaching a new huge act and my feelings are a mess. I'm okay right now though

broken ass game, c4 is bugged and will not count towards progress, car will get stuck, with door open and sometimes will go backwards randomly. some achievements will not unlock despite having the requirements and some are locked behind a DLC. repetitive

I received this game at a pretty steep discount. There isn't a whole lot to this game. You destroy stuff, you collect the parts, and then you either combine them to make more complex parts or you sell them. The enjoyment factor was wearing off just as I was running out of ships to dismantle. I think I still have two left (and about 5% on the one I'm currently dismantling). My only real complaint here is that I had my character completely updated while still having about six ships and two…

Don't be an idiot like me. For some reason I thought this was like Ship Graveyard Sim 2. I thought that after I bought the DLC all the fun stuff would get added but it doesn't have the same mechanics. I put about 12 hours in because I at least wanted to get my money's worth of playtime, but yeah. Don't be dumb, just get the next game in the series. This one kind of sucks.

Better than expected. Not as good as games like House Flipper. You will probably demolish stuff on the same ship multiple times. Very multiple :-) And the same ship has always the same default stuff. So... if you just want to use tools to demolish stuff on a ship, use skill points to get better with your tools, perhaps use the smelter - or whatever it is called - to create pricier stuff or stuff needed for updates of buildings and repeat this again and again, then this might please you. In no…

Got it for cheap in a sale recently. I've already played a lot of other simulator games from Playway, so I knew what to expect. An integral part why I like gaming is to experience things I normally wouldn't be able to. And let's be honest about one thing: I'm super happy that I can experience this type of "work" in front of my computer rather than actually HAVING to do it for living. The game is very relaxing to play. And it's effectively impossible to lose: basic resources spawn each day that…

Interesting "deconstruction" game with a complete lack of polish. None of the angles really matter and it generally just feels like a meta-progression bump (5% bonus all over the place) with skinner-box loot grinding to get to the next class of gear, but zero skill required in any spot. I was hoping for another Hardspace: Shipbreaker and this one really feels much closer to a generic time killer instead of a thought-inducing relaxer.
