After playing over 20 hours of this game and unlocking all of the core gameplay elements, I'm sad to conclude that it is far inferior to the original Slayaway Camp (a game that I play through once a year and is still challenging and fun after 150 hours and multiple replays). The main problem is that the puzzle mechanics in this sequel are much less interesting and complex than in the previous game. In the original …

I gotta do one last edit after 100%-ing the game. Short & sweet. Slayaway Camp 2 is a good game. It's not exceptional, it's not perfect. The Netflix partnership came at the cost of having the entire soul/charm/magic of what made SC 1 a 10/10 excised from the sequel. If you enjoyed SC 1, pick this up. It's worth a buy. Just expect to be very disappointed. 6.5/10

Just like the first Slayaway Camp game, the second is another great tribute to 80s horror. We're currently working on the Steam port for Slayaway Camp 2 ☠️ 🔪 It's a campy horror-themed logic puzzle game! Personally I did all 405(!) of the puzzles! It's going to be released soon and you can Wishlist it now 🤘 (OR grab the Netflix version for mobile which is already out!)

A first look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E0EaP5aPno I've always been a big fan of the original Slayaway Camp, so I was thrilled to see Slayaway Camp 2 come to Steam. And while it 'shocked' me for a hot second, the sliding was gone; I didn't mind that much. The puzzles are just as much fun without them once you get used to them. Although some levels still have a form of sliding, aah memories of the OG game. Heh. I adore the whole Terrortube interface vibe. With different themes and a…

I fully believe it's worth the full asking price. Anyone who played the first Slayaway Camp or Friday the 13th puzzle will love this one. I'm looking forward to spending hours playing through it. UPDATE: I've been playing it more and really am enjoying it. No issues on the Steam Deck, although, I find…

Great puzzle with features that let you beat it regardless of your skill level. The game begins with several buddies sitting around a campfire. To make matters more interesting, one of them holds a diary that can summon Skullface, a masked serial murderer. There is no need to go into great detail, but this little stunt results in their terrible deaths. However, before the final victim dies, he uses all of his strength to capture the killer inside his phone. The phone is stuck on a movie page…

What even is this? It doesn't even feel like slayaway camp anymoere. In the original you moved until you hit something that would stop movement in that direction so a lot of the puzzle was how to get your character in the right position. Now you just have free movement in any direction one square at a time and it honestly trivializes a lot of puzzles. It's not like there's nothing good, but it just doesn't feel interesting to me, certainly not as the previous. I'll be refunding this.

While I think that their masterpiece was Friday the 13th (so glad that I purchased all episodes before it was pulled), I think that this and the original Sleepaway Camp are on par with each other as excellent entries in the horror-comedy-puzzle genre. Top of the field, to be honest. They're quite similar, but this one is a bit easier (but that is a huge appeal to me and my addled brain), much flashier in terms of graphics, and for whatever reason the controls feel better. All in all, I have…

I'm usually not of fan of puzzle games but the theme, artwork and sound with animation kept me interested in the early levels of the base game. The "harder" levels were boring because you want to do so many moves to finish the level. Also, ALL the levels in the basic game are VERY short. This game shined for me in the Endless Mode. You just keep killing teens until you die or are killed. I'd love online coop or vs multiplayer in future patches. Also, being able to choose between…

A number of positive and negative changes from the previous Slayaway Camp add up to a bit of a downgrade for me, but still with a clear recommendation. Visual are not an eyesore this time. However, animations become a bit of a pain since they cannot be skipped any more, thus watched hundreds of times each. Most of them aren't short either. Mini-games are now numerous, when it was just the one prior. I get that variety is a plus for those who like that kind of stuff but, for me, we lose the…

I am a huge fan of puzzle games and boy does Slayaway Camp 2 deliver! Not only are there TONS of puzzles, but many are distinguished by some of the killer characters having different powers. These powers mean new rules to think about to solve the puzzles. You unlock and collect killer characters as you go - the Deathicorn is a particular favorite of mine - which makes the achievement collector in me happy. The machete minigames sprinkled throughout achieves a similar result, though I suggest…

Not as good or polished as the first game, and you can certainly tell it was originally meant for mobile devices and then haphazardly ported to steam. Still, for $12.99 (base price) you honestly get a LOT of content, though that significantly depends on if you enjoy the puzzles the game comes with. Some are fairly easy, others left me scratching my head trying to figure them out, and only a few were frustrating. If you enjoyed the first Slayaway camp and you can get it on sale, I say go for it.…

The puzzles are easier than the first game (which I don't mind) and there's a built-in hint system if you really need it. More importantly, this one has proper cloud saving (unlike the first one), and is generally a bit more polished on PC. Runs great on every machine I've thrown it on. A perfect game for Steam Deck.

New mechanics along with switching to single-tile movement for the second game made it much more difficult compared to the original. There aren't any challenges for completing levels efficiently, but victims still run away until they hit an obstacle, so trapping them requires set-up of varying complexity. You will be pushing crates, rolling boulders, launching lawn-mowers, and scaring small animals to manipulate level layouts to your advantage. Often doing so while walking on breakable tiles…

Same concept from the previous opus. Still excellent puzzles with improved visuals and skills added to some characters for some new challenges. It comes with mini games that sucks. Nothing to do with puzzles. Just some cheap arcade. Some of them are definitely not made to be played with a controller. There is an option to auto-win that help skipping them. Like, really? Thought this was gonna be a cash grab remake of the original, but it's actually a much improved and fleshed out game. Feels odd to describe it as an "Overly charming little murder sim". The challenge levels are a much nicer addition to let you scale difficulty without it being mandatory to progress through the levels, and even then the puzzles aren't too overly difficult (so far at least). Also, despite the simplicity the hint system showing you the opening moves really helps with the harder…
