What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 121 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (364 of 377 positive).
Players find Toasterball a hilarious and fun party game, especially with friends. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note the game lacks online multiplayer and AI bots. [4][5][6] Some players compare it to Rocket League or pong with a toaster theme. [7][8][9]

i saw yahiamice play this game before so i decided to try out the demo with my mom then i decided to get the full version and it was chaos. 100% recommended!

I just had a 16 player Toasterball tournament this weekend. No one had played the game before. Everyone was literally jumping up and down screaming that they were having so much fun. Best ten bucks I have ever spent.

Saw this on a Yahiamice video, thought it looked really fun, bought it on a discount and yeah, I don't regret it. This is probably the best sports game I've ever played, and it's even more fun with friends! The only small nitpick holding it back is that it runs on Remote Play Together, and if your friends want to play, they need a controller. Otherwise this is AMAZING. It's crazy how high the skill ceiling is for …

"I came for the memes, stayed for the mechanics." Let me just start by saying this: Toasterball is absolute, unfiltered chaos in the best way possible. You’re a toaster. You yeet yourself around an arena. You smack a ball with your spring-loaded bread flaps. What’s not to love? At first glance, this game seems like a joke—like someone dared a developer to make Rocket League but with toasters. But beneath the absurd …

Easy to take-up, hilarious game. Super simple controls make it perfect for parties with friends who don't play much :)

95% of the 121 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Toasterball. The complaint that keeps coming up: no online multiplayer, only remote play. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

60 of 131 · most liked firstReally good game! but there is a lot of things to fix: 1.Add bots, 2.Add skins to bread, balls and toasters, 3.Option to have a random toaster, 4.Online game, 5.Chose a gamemode, 6.More gamemodes, 7.Rankings at game for example: win streak, goal streak Skins will be a reward for some wins. This game are so funny and thats a great idea to a game, this game is so easy when you play on controller.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally one of the funnest indie games to come out in a while!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know what they say, all toasters, toast toast!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. I first played this game when I was 9 years old with me and one of my childhood friends, we loved this game and have played it ever since, and at one point we uploaded a youtube video on it and the devs commented. We could barely contain our little giggles about how the developers of such a great game found our single video and commented about how they were happy to see people playing it. This game has given me some of the greatest memories of my life, and I will never…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Appleseed's Indie Game Of The Day! Day 148) Toasterball by Les Crafteurs You use toasters to play ball. It's pretty self explanatory. For real, this is just a fun physics sports game where the gameplay changes constantly but remains fun and silly the whole way through.
positive · AI labelView post →I want to ♥♥♥♥ the toaster
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a massive fan of couch co-op, so here's some of my favourites: Heave Ho: cooperative grabby-hand-based platforming Moving Out: hectic moving simulator (get the first one, not the second) Drink more Glurp: chaotic parody of a sports event, with grabby-hand mechanics, and wacky powerups to change things up Wobbly Life: a kid-friendly open world game with jobs to do, and tons of secrets to find. Kinda like Roblox mixed with GTA. Pretty much endless fun. Toasterball: it's like tennis, but…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've ever played Rocket League sideswipe, it's like that. But you're a toaster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is LORE for the toasters. Need I say more? Who said anything about Paninis?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Toaster Ball: great game, needs work. add a feature where you can choose what modifiers you play with similar to how they have it in rocket league. Speaking of, please add ranked competitive play so i can flex on bad players. also add toaster customization please. Overall very fun game, well balanced lots of fun to play with your grand-kids and adoptive fathers.

neutral · AI labelView post →AMAZING PARTY GAME, LIMITLESS FUN; ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE. The amount of variation for this game is nuts, AND there is a custom mode where you can customize EVERY SINGLE RULE.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All its missing now is online multiplayer 9/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome party game, very fun even for just two people. There is lots of variation in environments and good fun to be had for a while! It's not gone on sale ever according to isthereanydeal, but it's worth the 6 bucks! Bug free, detail rich, funny and enjoyable gameplay with friends. Online trough Steam Play Together worked great. Development may have stopped though, AI was worked on at the start of 2020 according to a dev comment in the community section, but there is none as of yet (February…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun, I didn't expected the game to be very well polished and done. I'd say that's a perfect game if had the online version. I am excited for the next game from this producer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best couch games have become BIGGER, BADDER AND BETTER. Please, do Les Crafteurs a favor and BUY yourself this game. An original, exciting and WELL made game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best game on Steam. I cannot wait for development to progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is very good but pls make it have online multiplayer so you jan play with random people
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Because I love local multiplayer games, sharing some stuff. Firstly Toasterball from @studiocrafteurs.bsky.social is on sale 60% off on the Switch eShop www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/...
neutral · AI labelView post →I haven't been able to play a real game of this because every time I ask my friends if they want to play this with me they tell me to "♥♥♥♥ off" and then ask "what the hell is Toasterball" and then when I show them Toasterball, they tell me to ♥♥♥♥ off again. These events have singlehandedly tanked my reputation everywhere, and for that I cannot recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good amazing toasty game but i made my friend buy it and uh idk it was only remote play also you guys should add like a feature where you can save the replay and have a section where you can view em, would be tuff
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Toasterball - I didn't wanna run it again but Speedrunners broke for losers semis and I needed a morale boost. GREAT finals game (2023), absolutely horrible opener if you want the pool to end on time (2024). I've had one person say they didn't like it. Everyone else in the entire world adores it.
positive · AI labelView post →absolutely peak. the only issue is a lack of built in online multiplayer, but as the devs have stated, that will not be coming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty good game, just not that replayable. (None of my friends wanted to hop on)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GOAT (GREATEST OF ALL TOASTER)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really meant for 2 OR 4 players. You can play it with 3 people, but 1 person is going to be stuck with an AI partner (or no partner at all). I wish there was some mode or something that would be basically a free for all. Regardless though, my 2 friends and I had plenty of fun playing this game. Also, the variant with the laser thing on the ceiling that randomly hits certain floors sucks the most of all the variants
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play as a toaster. This game is missing online for sure, but despite that it's so good on the couch that it makes up for it. I give this a one hundred out of the sixty nine funny number score.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really unique, fun and charming game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first played it on itch and then got real excited for the steam release, finally picked up the game and enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than the demo. can't wait to see where they take this game in the future
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I backed this game on Kickstarter the controls make sense the game play is really clever. I messaged on Kickstarter and got a super fast reply so I very much trust the devs. Hope the online play comes soon. I used remote play to play with friends and it was really good 1v1 but when it was 2v2 was not so hot. The levels and modes are tones of fun and it is great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →add online multiplayer pls :<
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game of the year worthy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →add more bread types
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →toasterballs decently fun, get on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You MUST absolutly look at the cinematic trailer (video n°2), the voice over is exquise haha I have the impression that couch games are a special french dev niche, I think about Heave Ho or Toasterball. Don't you play with your friends or what? store.steampowered.com/app/3521770/...
neutral · AI labelView post →I told my kiddo this was what real sport ball was all about and, being a real live grown-up, I should know. I don't think he believed me, but he's into it. As silly as this is, there is a real potential for mastery in it, which we have not attained.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game will really scratch that household appliance meets competitive sports itch you have.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's toasters. Playing with balls. My favorite.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Treadnauts - LOVE this game, got all the reactions I knew it would. Wanted to gush about this game since the day I played it but I knew what I had to do. Same as with Toasterball in 2023, it needed the stage. Probably not an opener but any winners/late losers. (Does Rust Valley get sudden death?)
