Gain bonuses and manipulate your slot wheel. Sounds good on paper, but I wasn't very captivated---and the animations are in desperate need of 2x or 3x speed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Civilization but gambling. Don't let the simple concept fool you - although there is a lot of initial luck involved, there is a lot of complex inter-related mechanics that make this a satisfying roguelite experience. I really enjoyed the theme (big Civ 5 fan) and the little score dopamine hits were executed nicely. All that being said - there are some very large balancing issues. So many broken synergies that can easily be achieved after just a little familiarity with the underlying mechanics.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have you ever been in a casino? Did you see the people on slot machines, pressing the spin button like it's draining their life-force? Like they aren't spinning the machine but machine is spinning them. Well this game had the exact effect on me. Spin and spin. Sometimes even when my odds are %50+ i lose a war and thats frustrating but other than that, great little game. Also devs are quick to respond to issues and very helpful. It'll be cool to see this game evolve.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I initially bought the game thinking it was just a simple slot-spinning type of fun, but it turns out to be far more complex, with mechanics that allow for diverse and strategic gameplay styles. The game is genuinely enjoyable, with a team that responds quickly and stays open to improvement. Updates roll out frequently, and what really matters is that the developers listen to player feedback and keep refining the experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I seem to recall the combat mode being more complex in demo release before the launch, but it's nowhere to be found now. Honestly this doesn't have much going for it. There is no achievement for beating the game, and ultimately, once you beat it, there's no real replay value despite there being dozen or two different "leaders" to begin with.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In some ways, this game is even better than Balatro. At first, it might seem simple, but you gradually realize there are several elements to consider before every spin. I initially thought it would appeal more to Civilization players (which I definitely am not), but it’s actually closer to a deckbuilder with a very tight card range. Despite my positive review, keep in mind that there is plenty of room for improvement. Especially if you’re experienced with deckbuilders, the game can become…

positive · AI labelView post →If you read the reviews on Sizzle and Stack you'll see many complaints of the game being a buggy mess. Their new game Spinera has questionable art, and despite their statement, I'm not convinced there isn't at least a little genAI in their product.
negative · AI labelView post →That's a quick a nice take on slot-based roguelikes, some interesting combos. Like the fact you are changing both the drop chances and meta resources, lots of replay ability. Great small product for endure endless Zoom calls :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think there is good execution here. The combination of strategy and luck, and the ability to influence luck as you progress, feels great. The game becomes easier to understand the more you play.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks nice, plays nice. Fairly easy to play and understand with clover pit + civ vibes. Of course there are still room for improvements but developers seem to be active and addressing the issues. 10/10 would spin that machine like an elder in Vegas again.
