What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 193 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (5,748 of 7,085 positive).
Some players find the game fun and detailed initially, but many say it becomes repetitive quickly. [1][2][3] Many reviewers criticize the game for heavy use of AI-generated assets and poor optimization. [4][5][6] Several players allege the developers abandon the game after early access, leaving bugs unfixed. [7][8][9]

Unfortunately, this game is dead. If you look at the Dev's game history, he does this a lot. This taught me a tough lesson about early access, always check the dev's history before buying. He always dumps his games after going out of "early access" to work on the next dumpster game. The game is a buggy mess even on high performance machines, and there is not much content to be had for it. I would also suspect heavy …

I really wish I could recommend this game because I can tell a lot of effort was put into it, but there are a few glaring issues that are hard to ignore. If the big ones are fixed in the future I will come back to change my review. CONS: -An incredibly disheartening amount of AI. By the time I had looked close enough to realize that 90% of the game's icons and 'art' was AI, I had just surpassed the amount of …

Streamer Life Simulator 2 is a fun and surprisingly detailed game at first. The amount of customization, the realistic streamer mechanics, and the general vibe make it easy to get hooked for the first few hours. However, the fun fades pretty quickly. Once you’ve seen what the game has to offer, there’s not much left to do, the content feels limited, and it starts repeating itself after just a few days of play. …

Considering the price tag of around €11, the game is quite amusing and offers a variety of activities to keep you entertained. After the recent updates, there’s a decent amount of content to explore and enjoy. On the other hand, the game suffers from a significant number of bugs and glitches. The driving mechanics feel completely off.. rushed, unpolished, and overall very choppy. There are also multiple issues …

its fun but gets old after a while needs more games, multiplayer, a new city map, a ability for youtube videos that arent stream reuploads, and a vr type video game

52% of the 193 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Streamer Life Simulator 2. The complaint that keeps coming up: heavy use of AI-generated art and assets. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Skip this game. It's bad in all aspects. No content. The game is solved in 2 hours. Awful optimization. Might have low meme value at best. Dev posting generic patch notes to keep people calm. Do it, go read the Feb 2026 patch notes, you'll understand. Dev is laughing at us. If it was a $4 game that you play once and uninstall, I'd be more forgiving. It would still be a bad game but it would feel less like a fraud.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Half of the gameplay is ai generated, the game stutters for no reason at all, the render distance is so close that it's almost as if the entire map is covered in a thick fog, the pc is almost completely useless because there's only 2 games you can play, and the game is abandonware. Just play the first game because it's way better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game appears to have potential, but is an unfortunate major waste of time. 1) Uses AI 2) Poorly optimised and barely runs even on a strong PC 3) Buggiest game I have ever seen. Needed to reboot game multiple times just to clear bugs. 4) Progress is extremely slow 5) I grinded for hours to save money for a new house in this game, slept in-game and lost it all to a bad save. So much time spent for nothing. I won't touch this game again.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →whoever this is developing these half baked games and then abandoning them after a few very small tweaks should not be a game dev anymore. this is pathetic
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely bad optimization and worse mechanics than the first game. I definitely do not recommend this game in its early stages, but I do not think they will fix it. I experienced the same thing in the first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The amount of AI slop is genuinely depressing. The other games that were made by Dev were actually pretty good, but relying on AI is definitely their downfall. Please put effort into your game instead of just using AI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AI-generated assets in the intro were a big sign this game wasn't going to be that good. Then came the entire rest of the game. It's beyond shallow, the game gives you too much immediate money that lets you upgrade too fast. I basically 100%ed the game in 14 hours and at that point, I had all of the employees, all of the upgrades, and bought every item in the game. Half of the assets scream "asset flip" and while I understand the games you play within the game are meant to be parodies and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, Streamer Life Simulator 2 — what an experience. Not the game itself, of course, but the incredible vanishing act by the developers. I have to say, it takes real talent to hype up a sequel, launch it in an obviously half-baked state, and then disappear faster than my in-game viewer count. Bravo. Seriously though, was this just a social experiment to see how long people would wait for basic bug fixes before realizing they got scammed? No updates, no patch notes, no "Hey, we're alive!"—just…

neutral · AI labelView post →Another Cheesecake Dev game released half finished, just like the original, it has potential but dont expect it to ever get updated again to realize said potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only played a few minutes and I already felt I wasted my money. The game is very glitchy, the movement motion felt so weird and odd that I felt I'm getting motion sickness just by looking left and right. I gave it another shot changed my settings, restarted the game, and it didn't make any difference. The game stopped and I think that's it for me. So many issue that it's unplayable for me. The developers needs to fix the issues ASAP!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this honestly feels like a demo, Why are there only three houses? Why isn't there an apartment like the first game? Why isn't there a city like the first game? They did well with the streaming part but the world feels so lifeless and small.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didnt last 30mins on stream, i just couldnt, i got it for FREE and I still feel ripped off. I wanted to like this idea, BUT THEN I PLAYED IT, OH MY WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP very buggy, just awful sounds awful grafx, awful movment and interactions all felt un-intuitive. Something smelled very off about this game .... ITS made with Ai = SLOP thats what that gross flavor was, everything about this felt lazy and unfinished, and its been out for OVER A YEAR and it feels this bad still??? bad Ai…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →posts 2 updates since the game released 11.5 months ago. Dog poo dev lazy as it gets cash grab... If you cared you post updates that consits of content and not "plushies" garbage bruh. SLS 1 is 100x better then this and that looks like a PS Vita game with terrible graphics but still has more content then this "game". This game is unfinished needs more content, you had a lower budget with SLS 1 and made that better then this when you now have a higher budget.... Self explanatory cash-grabbing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played *Streamer Life Simulator 2* for 12 hours over the course of 3 days. The idea and the addictive potential were good and strong, but I’m shocked that I spent money on a game like this. It lags, nothing renders instantly, and even on the highest graphics settings everything looks very ugly. The game keeps freezing, and if you haven’t saved, you’re out of luck. There are situations—like moving to a new place—that sometimes force you to stay up all night to put everything in order, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a fun game! But srsly, don't buy this game!!! They don't do anything for this game anymore! Not updates, nothing! A long time ago, i was on their discord and i think, i remember that they said something weird ♥♥♥♥ about the future... So yeh... 100% don't buy this anymore!

neutral · AI labelView post →So far, this game is really boring. Nothing makes sense. Things don't work rationally. Tasks are unclear and steps are virtually impossible to guess. I'm giving it 10 more minutes to be fun or I'm returning it and giving it a real review. Right now, I do not recommend this at all. Want to play a YouTuber Game? Go with YouTuber 2. it's a little cozy compared to this, but at least it has some grit and utility. An actual series of playable functions.... A story even... Good luck!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nothing new has been updated to this game. dissapoinitng really. was a decent game oh well dont buy it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can not recommend this game in its current state. Needs a ton of work to fix the mountain of issues this games has. This game has not been updated in months and many believe that it has been abandoned. :sadge:
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game but it's very unfinished and long been abandoned without notice from the dev's. Early game is long, mid-late game is almost instantaneous and unfulfilling. Once you have all of your employees with max PC setups, did all your decorating, etc... that's it, there's nothing else to do. It's one of those games where you can see the (two) dev's skills and the remanent of what the game could have been, but they made the decision to take the money and run.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an absolute mess of AI-generated slop. Instead of actually taking the time to fix the first one which, to be fair, almost had the potential to be a genuinely fun and engaging game you went ahead and somehow managed to release an even worse version. It's like all the feedback went straight into the void. Rather than improving what was already there, you stripped away what little charm it had and replaced it with a watered-down, soulless follow-up that feels like it was slapped together with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game’s use of AI is far more prevalent than described. It is a barely functional early access game that doesn’t mention early access at all. This feels more like something made for a game jam than a proper release.

neutral · AI labelView post →This game uses far too much AI generated dialogue and imagery, especially when it comes to interaction options while streaming. There's grammar and spelling mistakes everywhere you look and the only half decent game you can play is a rip off Counter Strike which also has crappy audio from the other bot players on your team. (You can't even use the knife so WHY IS IT AN OPTION). I had higher hopes for this game, it says it offers a realistic and challenging streaming experience when in reality…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a pretty fun game 100% it in just 24 hours and runs well just stutters if you drive really fast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m genuinely impressed. Streamer Life Simulator 2 somehow manages to simulate everything except a functioning game. Let’s start with the cars, because they deserve their own warning label. These things don’t drive, they ascend. I ran over a pedestrian and immediately got promoted to astronaut. On top of that, your car will get stuck on absolutely anything. Bushes, tiny bumps, probably a strong breeze. I’m convinced half the map is just invisible potholes. The game itself feels like it was…

neutral · AI labelView post →Runs terribly on medium setting (some details looks like "potato" settings) Character customization has both a decent amount of options, however it's not accurate at all. Cannot have whiter skin color, best is tanned. cannot reduce muscle definition, sliders are narrower than sim 1, sliders (presets) are weird to adjust. Almost everything you place down is misaligned or the complete oposite side. overall gameplay start is confusing and unintuitive

negative · AI labelView post →Game is not worth your time downloading. The developers abandonded the game months ago. This should be illegal and STEAM should not accept any further games from Cheesecake Dev.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bought it awhile ago, it was ass then, bought it today, its ass now. not worth 10 dollars or even the discounted 6 dollars. this game is uninspired ai slop that's terribly optimized and just ugly. if you're looking for a good life sim type game i recommend obenseur or voices of the void (on itch.io)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Using AI art for your game is a huge smack in the face for gamers. I would've preferred stick figures over this. Sucks too, because this would be a good simulator game otherwise
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes my system which not only harms my pc but causes a loss of progress as saving only occurs when sleeping. The MO of the game is to maximize each day before sleeping so saving is not frequent. I tried uninstalling and deleing all appdata, starting a new game, and it still crashes my whole system. NPC pathing blocks each other, causing loss of orders(huge money loss) if the delivery is in progress but failing to complete due to the blocked pathing. This game is just thrown together and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty Basic game I wish they'd update more it only took me 9.5 hours too complete the game or at least get all achievements. Its a really fun game too play It has a lot of early on engagement and content but as you near end game there isn't a reason to keep playing. overall 8/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game. i've played 17 hours in three days, it would be nice to see more updates to this game. i personally wish it was a little better optimized. my pc is well above the specs required and it still seems to crash quite a bit, that or a quick save, or auto save option. to kind of negate the crashing. you can do quite a lot in a single day and not go to sleep
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's so bad that it's good again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it because Markiplier played the predecessor. The graphics look kinda scuffed and dark, but the gameplay itself is pretty addicting, idk why! I'd recommend it if you want those 2 weeks of grinding just like in minecraft. Wait until you get the Streamer Life Bundle for around $10 though. The normal price is a little too expensive for what you're getting out of it.
