From murdering npcs to bombing entire floors, and having 6,000 hours of playtime, this is with NO doubt my favorite game on my library! I have had this game for years, my first years were normal, then i started using sandbox, allowing me to create POWERFUL mega bombs with remote bombs, time bombs, and fireworks, which can offer a DEVASTATING impact on the population and buildings. Then i started completing every big …

Streets of Rogue is one of those rare games where the chaos never gets old — I've lost count of how many times a routine mission spiraled into an all-out war between cops, mobsters, and gorillas that I somehow started by accident. The sheer variety of characters and playstyles means every run feels genuinely different, whether you're bribing your way to the top as a sleazy politician or zombifying an entire …

Right, since Im still waiting for Streets of Rogue 2 I might as well write this. Where do I even begin... This game is a definition of freedom in videogames. Once u start a run the game will tell u that u have a main objective and a side quest(different for every character and optional) thats all u get. It is only up to u to figure HOW to achieve ur goals, how fast or maybe u want to do something else entirely. The …

pretty infinitely replayable roguelike, all the different characters you can play as add an insane amount of variety, each character having their own unique style of play. highly recommended, should be miles more popular than it actually is

This has gotta be one of my favorite games of all time. Its the type of game you play when you feel like you're mistake away from imploding on everyone and need an outlet. I can't wait for the second game!!!
Summarised from 34 of the 285 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 9, 2026. How summaries are made
98% of the 200 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Streets of Rogue. The complaint that keeps coming up: clunky melee combat. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
On its release, Streets of Rogue was met with generally favorable reviews from critics, with an aggregate score of 75/100 for Nintendo Switch, and 82/100 for Xbox One on Metacritic. Polygon praised the game for its comedic elements, explaining that "comedy in game design is difficult [and[ [i]t’s something of an achievement that developer Matt Dabrowski pulls it off by piling cheap gags so high, so often." Rock Paper Shotgun compared it to "relatively plain-faced immersive sims of the blockbuster sort", praising the "sheer variety of this city’s pandemonium". PC Gamer compared it to other roguelikes, celebrating that Streets of Rogue "gives you more freedom than almost any roguelike, and…

A new devlog is up where I talk all about it! - A detailed roadmap has been released! - A new build of the SOR2 demo is out with full gamepad support! store.steampowered.com/news/app/216...
neutral · AI labelView post →Not just my favorite indie game, **Skullgirls** is my favorite game. That game is 13 years old, and there are still killer strategies that no one has even found yet, due to how flexible defense and team synergies are. **Vagante** is probably my favorite roguelike, trailed closely by **Streets of Rogue**. As a bonus, both are playable in online and local co-op. Sadly, the team behind **Cannon Brawl** never got to make another game together after making one of the best RTS games I've ever…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Day 9: Game your most anticipating Streets of Rogue 2 The 1st game was just such wild chaos. Silly, over the top, good time (but also has complexity and depth) - like I've been feeling like I want this recently. If the sequel expands on the gameplay of the 1st at all I will be overjoyed. 😊
positive · AI labelView post →This game is a genuine masterpiece and i can't wait until Streets of Rogue 2 is released.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It seems like a simple rogue lite, and in some ways it is, but the really impressive thing is just how many different systems it balances to create one of the most enjoyable sandbox games I've ever played. A lot depends on your character class. There are tons to choose from with crazy unique play styles. You can play as a cop and get rewarded extra XP for arresting enemies and following the law. The soldier archetype is all about the guns, so it's best to go for more aggressive traits and…

This one has Ziggurat 2, The Ascent, Withering Rooms, Metro Exodus and Streets of Rogue for under £2.50 each. Songs of Syx I just got started with this one, but it feels like a game I could not get tired off any time soon. It's still under development, so I hope I get the updates as well? 5. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addicting game that's a little rough around the edges, but not so much so that I can't enjoy this game and but nearly 100 hours into. The Good: This game has variety and replay-ability in mind and it succeeds at that! There are a whole bunch of characters/classes that all offer a unique way to tackle the objective-based missions on every map. The core gameplay loop of Streets of Rogue allows the player lots of flexibility and creativity to determine how they want to tackle a certain…

I don't expect these to stay here forever, and it's not like I came up with any new strats, but I think I've made a mark by just pushing the game further. Now I can focus on other things for a bit?

Its more or less one of those games. The kind you might want to bring to a lonely island. The kind that keeps on coming up with things you just didnt expect. And once you think youve seen it all, you realize once again that you aint seen nothing yet. The GFX might not be everyones cup of tea obv. Others grew up with this. And now might…

neutral · AI labelView post →the gameplay's a little fun, but the writing and humor was so annoying and childish i couldnt enjoy the game at all. but definitely don't take my review as objective its just my opinion, and the overall reviews being overwhelmingly postive contradicts my opinion so if you think it looks fun and you feel like buying it, then go ahead and give it a shot!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun. Spent plenty of hours on it. Game's simple enough that you can play through it blindly with only the tutorial to tell you how things work and even then you'll have no problem navigating through the rest of the game doing who knows what. And guess what, you can do it again in multiple ways making sure that the gameplay loop doesn't get old.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An extremely fun little roguelite. There are many characters to choose from, and they all play differently, for the most part. I am not much of a roguelite guy myself, but I find myself coming back to this game just to play a new character. The art's decent, gets the job done. the music is banging but I feel it could have more tracks, more variation. Balancing is kind of weird, especially as you go onto the later levels, but the overpowered gear and strategies is part of the game's fun. This…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a soft spot for Streets of Rogue, and there's no better time to review it than in anticipation of the sequel. Streets of Rogue is a very different game than what I expected from the screenshots, or after playing the tutorial. I'm not sure, I guess I expected something more handhold-y or narrative driven—or maybe I expected something LESS linear, like the sequel is going to be? I'm not really sure what I expected, just that what I got surprised me. You have missions, progress through…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's such a fun experience. I am usually intimidated by games where you've essentially free will to choose any method to complete a task, but it's actually really fun and engaging about it. On top of that, it also has modifiers to either make the game more of a challenge, or easier, if desired so. It is completely optional and it doesn't lock you out of any achievements, but it's an excellent option to have available for maximum enjoyment, the game really takes "play it your way" seriously…

Going through my steam library from the lowest up, here are the others i would recommend, stopping at one GB, because most of my games are under 20 GB and i tend to be relatively selective with what games i get so i consider most of them good also: - TIS-100 (80 MB), programming puzzle game by Zachtronics - Islanders (150 MB), minimalist city builder -…

negative · AI labelView post →I played the absolute hell out of this game, I had never enjoyed such a cute 64-bit game in never. If you want a roguelite that repeats INFINITELY and a multitude of different characters and playstyles this is the game, this is the arcade gta that I always wanted on my computer. To break into peoples homes and steal their sandwiches and grab their fridges and throw it at them, or gambling over and over and over to get as much money as I want, destroy everything AND everyone so that I feel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally taking a break from *BG3*, though that will probably only last until I have a SM sitting in my comfy gaming zone. Still heavily playing *Deep Rock Galactic* with friends, *Streets of Rogue* has entered my short-time gaming rotation, and I just picked up *WH40K: DarkTide* on the recent sale.
neutral · AI labelView post →After many many hours of enjoyment and having just gotten every achievement, i feel should finally write a review. I always find myself coming back to this game due to the sheer amount of options and freedom available. There's always multiple ways to complete a mission, and it's up to you which one you'll choose. I could ramble forever about how awesome this game is, but I'll just keep it short. This is one of my favorite games of all time, and it's truly a gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the #8 spot, Streets of Rogue 2 I loved the first game. It's a wild, silly roguelike, just death and destruction all over the place. It's just freaking fun. I'm expecting more from the second game and I can't wait for it to come out. 😊

We absolutely loved this game, her even more than I did, we really had fun progressing through the levels, I'd always take a more destructive path, but she loved blowing everything up. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is interactive by design, I have more than 100 hours on it and I still haven't found all possible combos and strategies this game offers. To sum it up in a few words, this game is a rougelike about completing simple objectives, weather you find the most beautiful elegant solution to it or you kill everyone in the level is up to you. 10/10, while not a fan of open world games myself, I'll definetly check out the second entry for this series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game genuinely gets to a point where its addicting it might be the best game ive ever played in terms of gameplay. perfect game 10/10 gameplay 7/10 story its basic but good 10/10 combat 10/10 mods
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very hard to describe the depth of this game but it's a must try, at the very least The amount of mechanics in this game are insane like there's no game that has a similar feel to it. So many ways to get things done and ridiculously high replayability. Almost feel bad I paid 5 bucks for this because you can see the amounf of time and work that went into this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is easy to play, but it's the ton of elements that combine in unexpected ways that make it shine. It's silly, but the gameplay is satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8.5/10 so much replayability and complexity. really hard and rewarding when you get to the later stages of the game
