okay i am DONE with this game. i went from really enjoying it, to enjoying some parts of it, to on and off loving/hating it. to fxcking DESPISING it. the story to this game is infuriating and the gameplay does not at all help. the story constantly contradicts itself and feels almost like an episode of dora the way every cutscene ends with a kirito monologue of "looks like i learned that this character loves this …

At the time of writing this, 05/06/2026 I can confirm that the game currently isn't working and will crash on a attempt at loading in (Or entering the city on a new playthrough) you can check the discussions tab for confirmation from other players, the other recent positive reviews are most likely not real. If you're like me, replaying the old SAO games for Echoes Of Aincrad, unfortunately we will have to skip this …

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization 35-180+ hours to complete, SAO: Hollow Realization is an almost fully voiced singleplayer game that mimics the anime’s VRMMORPG skill trees, weapon logistics (weapon skills, weapon EXP, secret skills learned via specific actions, etc…) , raid boss mechanics, party synchronization, item usage, and social dynamics more than any other previous title before it. Except this game takes …

🗡️ SAO Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition Is it worth it? Yes… but with some asterisks. If you like SAO and enjoy long JRPGs, Hollow Realization feels like an arranged marriage that somehow… works better than expected. ✅ Pros - Solid combat system: real-time, fun, and actually rewards you for learning mechanics (not just button mashing like your keyboard owes you money). - A LOT of content: long main story, all DLCs …

Finished this game a while ago and noticed i have not reviewed it so here we go : The game is great. I love the skill mechanics and everything else about this game, game takes place after the whole aincrad arc from the anime, which takes a different route than the anime after that. the story is not that bad honestly, some dungeons were a bit weird to navigate, so had to look up some gameplay for that hah. the whole …

69% of the 175 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition. The complaint that keeps coming up: game crashes on loading screens for some players. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization received "mixed or average" reviews, according to video game review aggregator Metacritic. Both PlayStation 4 and Vita versions received final scores of 32/40 by Famitsu, being awarded 9, 8, 7 and 8 by four individual reviewers. Vince Ingenito of IGN awarded Hollow Realization a score of 6.7 out of 10, describing it as an "action-oriented, single-player faux-MMO with satisfying, nuanced combat" but criticizing its "opaque systems, intrusive pacing, and lack of narrative stakes." GameSpot's Janine Hawkins gave the game a score of 5 out of 10, calling it an "action-RPG fused with visual-novel trappings" and criticizing its bugs, clumsy UI, and poor…

Headed by ex-Namco game designer Masanobu Endō (best known for Xevious and Tower of Dauaga) Game Studio Inc is still going strong today, recently working with Bandai Namco to develop and release Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad!

It's unique in the sense that it combines anime and JRPG elements with the looter shooter genre, I haven't played a lot of games like it! It's also a really fun game and a good time overall 😊
positive · AI labelView post →Sword Art Online being a primarily single player series. Is the greatest inside joke in the industry…

neutral · AI labelView post →Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is super messed up to me because it has Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter and Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles and the stages are based on various Sega games, and I think, this could've been a 2D Sega fighting game. Instead I gotta see Sword Art Online characters.

The story is what you'd expect from a SAO game, cringy and all, and the dlcs aren't really helping. neutral · AI labelView post →Is it glitchy? yes. Is it based on an anime I haven't watched since elementary school and think is kind of mid now? also yes. Is it fun though? And it totally is. It's not groundbreaking and it has it's issues, but it's still an enjoyable game nonetheless. I'd recommend it if it's on sale (It was for me and I think I spent like five bucks on the game), but not for the full price. overall, 7/10

neutral · AI labelView post →Its funny that the oldest release in the series is somehow better than all the rest ahead of it.. If this gets a remake/remaster it'll break the net.. Modern engine, refine combat, better PC controls, extended world exploration, new content, reworked bosses, life skills, owning a property, owning a shop/business. Marriage.. Bandai has this right at their money grubbing finger tips but they continue to milk SAO with these new garbage titles chasing after nostalgia from the OGs of the anime…

neutral · AI labelView post →Game's fun, not worth $50 after 8 years though. Buy it on sale. Writing's funny, I can actually read the sarcasm. Gameplay is fun, and with it being more Action RPG than MMO, I can actually stand playing it, unlike something like FFXIV. I've played the game for probably well over 300 hours before this on the Vita, and it's not a difficult game. You can get through the entire main story by playing alone and only enhancing the starting equipment.
