I have mixed feelings about this game. There are over a dozen characters you can play as. They are beautifully modeled, have unique playstyles and different costumes. The visual novel part is half-decent, but forgettable. The combat is terrible. The slashes have no impact and enemies stun-lock you. All spells are the same, relying on spamming projectiles, but some spells seem to miss more than the others. Flying …

This game is awful. Legitimately terrible game. That being said, I love it. For some reason I can't put it down and it's one of my favorites. I played it originally on PS4 and it was the first game I ever tried to Platinum. I beat it and honestly didn't want to stop playing so I did new game plus as well. Hoping to do the same on PC as well haha.

Lowkey one of the worst games I've ever played but it's SAO so it's peak

No longer a big SAO fan but this game was a large part of my early teenage years since I used to be obsessed with SAO. I owned it on the PS4 back in 2015 when it finally released in the U.S. The gameplay can be janky at times and the story I didnt really care about. I just think the premise of flying around and grinding dungeons and monsters has a weird old school y2k gaming vibe to it. And simply for that I …

75% of the 170 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Sword Art Online: Lost Song. The complaint that keeps coming up: combat is clunky and targeting is frustrating. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Sword Art Online: Lost Song received "mixed or average" reviews, according to video game review aggregator Metacritic. Destructoid writer Josh Tolentino believed, like its predecessors, Lost Song was meant for fans of the series. He praised the combat system for being less time-consuming in comparison to Hollow Fragment, though he criticized the dungeons as being bland and an "apathetic level design". Meghan Sullivan of IGN gave the game a score of 6/10, believing the controls are easy to use and commended the multiplayer, but stated that the enemies and dungeons are repetitive and considered the story to be dull. Hardcore Gamer's Jason Bohn stated that the game was "hamstrung by a lack of…

It's unique in the sense that it combines anime and JRPG elements with the looter shooter genre, I haven't played a lot of games like it! It's also a really fun game and a good time overall 😊

neutral · AI labelView post →Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is super messed up to me because it has Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter and Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles and the stages are based on various Sega games, and I think, this could've been a 2D Sega fighting game. Instead I gotta see Sword Art Online characters.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll say this: if you're not an SAO fan and MMORPG sort of gamer who grinds and understands the mechanics behind the endless repetition of battle maneuvers of the same type of foes, you should think twice about purchasing this. As an MMORPG gamer, I know how aggravating it is to kill monsters endlessly as you move to a higher-level spot to grind again. But that's how RPG games, such as SAO, work. The game is based on the Sword Art Online Light Novel, a VRMMORPG. So, if you're not mentally…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: - It feels nostalgic after watching the anime years ago. - Many characters from the anime can go along as sidekicks The bad: - Repetitive dungeons - Many quests take you to a dungeon you've already done 5 times - Repetitive bosses - They didn't bother to make many bosses, they just keep reusing them. - Questslist limit - There is a limit to how many sidequests you can take, so sometimes you have to do a zone twice just to do all the sidequests - The ending is super short…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think Sword Art Online ruined anime. Now half the anime out is either an isekai, a fantasy world with video game mechanics, or both.
negative · AI labelView post →Ive played a fair few sao games in the past but man this one is a stinker, mechanics overall stink fighting is painfully difficult thanks to shoddy design and the game is too easy as is i havnt struggled at all despite being under equipped and under leveled so where does that leave us. With a game barely worth the few quid i spent on it on sale. After clearing the game with a 300 level difference its pretty clear this game is stupidly easy and just poorly made.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man, if you are going to design the protagonist of an rpg, my number one rule is "if the design starts to give Kirito from Sword Art Online vibes, the design sucks, stop."
negative · AI labelView post →For a game centred around aerial fighting, it is awkward and clunky when fighting in the air in this game. A faulty targeting system combined with a camera that seems to go against what you want most of the time makes for each fight really frustrating. You cannot fly in dungeons but there are enemies who are airborne meaning fights are already annoying. Bosses are the worst with this issue as I recognise there are weak spots that the player should be targeting but with the near useless…

But just to have something unique about them. My favourite singer is Enya, which is *hardly* unpopular given that she is the best-selling *solo* artist out of Ireland (she's behind U2, which is a band, so they aren't counted against one another). I don't just like her music, I know some trivial information, like how she lives in a castle, doesn't tour,…
