What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 61 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (64 of 104 positive).
Players say the game is a short, basic beat 'em up that captures the classic arcade feel. [1][2][3] Many reviewers feel the price is too high for the amount of content. [4][5][6] Some players enjoy the nostalgia and co-op fun despite the simplicity. [7][8][9]

The game is just so basic......For the price you can get much better beat'em ups. Don't waste the dough.

Completed the game on normal in 74 minutes. It was a decent way to pass the time, but offered no story, extremely basic gameplay, and a very subpar experience for $29.99. Sure, I could refund the game since it's under the 2 hour threshold set by Steam, but I played it and so I'll keep it. There are 6 stages with 2 bosses per stage. Using an Xbox controller, your attacks consist of smashing the X button, pressing A+X …

Cowabunga dude! Short but sweet classic Turtles action. Packs in a few extra stages beyond what was in the arcade version. Doesn't really add anything to the game play, but even then these beat 'em up games have been fine like this for decades. The only thing I didn't really care for is how they did Bebop and Rocksteady dirty. They look pretty silly in this one.

...It's a 2012-themed, less-intuitive Shredder's Revenge. BUT. I'm putting all of my criticisms aside because this is the series that I grew up with. It's one of my biggest hyperfixations and the most beloved franchise I ever got into. Knowing now that there's a game centered around arguably the greatest adaptation of the Ninja Turtles ever put to mainstream television just makes me so happy. This game brings me an …

TMNT Wrath of the Mutants. Now, this is a game where it's highly recommended you know what you're getting into before buying. Mainly, that this is a home port of the 2017 arcade game with some extra content. That being two new levels based on Dimension X and an Amusement Park. There are also some new bosses as well as other bosses that were swapped around. But does that make this port worth it? One way to find out …

neutral · AI labelView post →Disclosure: My friend gifted me this game, so as I did not pay $30 myself, the sting of the sparse content doesn't bother me as much. You can tell the quality of a licensed game by how surface level references and character inclusions are tied in. For example; yet another TMNT game lacking Casey Jones. Seriously, not even as an assist power-up? You added two new levels in to this port but couldn't bother to get one of the main staples of TMNT? If you, like me, are a reclusive shut-in that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a bit of beat em up fun but you can complete it in under an hour. Definitely not worth the price tag. Maybe for 10$?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game basically lasts just an hour, It's very basic, no dodge or sprint, no combos, it autotargets by default, it's just not fun to play like that. I was really disappointed. I mean after Shredder's Revenge, I would have thought that the devs would have at least tried to get to that level. Not worth the price at all. The graphics are nice though.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like that, as someone who has NOT played the arcade version, this port feels bareboned. Don't get me wrong, it's fun for the first few stages, but once you just complete all of them in under an hour or two, you're just left with nothing. If in the future, mods and/or workshop related features come into play, then I wouldn't mind at all, let the community have some fun making level designs, or even some more new, original content by the developers themselves, but for now it isn't it. No…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game I truly loved you say? I don't think any other game held my heart like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game!
positive · AI labelView post →Not terrible, but not great. I would lean towards shredders revenge. They’re similar style games, but shredders revenge has a better feel.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is another typical turtle beat 'em up. Lots of fun spectacle, lean on mechanical depth. It's a very *familiar* game. It's fun, it's fine. I #JustBeatIt w/my niece to re-secure my co-op square for @polykillpodcast.bsky.social Bingo
neutral · AI labelView post →I like turtles but this game is one of the weaker ones. You can buy it in a bundle on Fanatical for around 5 dollars and you'll likely finish around an hours time total. You can unlock a hard mode but for me this game is a one and done. If i had paid full price i would have been pretty upset but for the price, i'll give it a positive review.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay. Not worth the price offered. Wait for a sale if you wanna play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute pile of garbage... just a waste of an IP and potential here. There are far better TMNT beat 'em up games than this, ones with actual functioning mechanics and much better graphics... go play any of those. I'd even suggest playing the original TMNT NES game over this trash, and some might say that's a low blow, I actually think the O.G. TMNT for NES is a well put together game. Graphics are trash, music is generic, voice acting is atrocious. It has some of the o.g. voices actors…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am enjoying this so far. Yes, the game is much shorter than Shredder's revenge but it doesn't have to - Wrath of the Mutants was initially an arcade game. I feel that a number of folks these days have never experienced an arcade game and expect games to take 10+ hours to be worth their money, except that most folks would not be spending 10+ hours at an arcade to play a game. Shorter games can be very entertaining, and this is a good example. This is also based on the 2012 cartoon series, not…

neutral · AI labelView post →"It’s the Turtles known as Turtles" Let’s start by saying this game has some of the weirdest dialogue I’ve ever heard. It’s so strange that it actually becomes hilarious and that’s honestly what sticks in my mind the most. I’ve played it a few times in the arcade, and while it clearly tries to capture the charm of the classic 1989 Konami arcade game, it doesn’t quite hit the mark, mostly because of the odd character designs and visuals. Some of the enemies are just laughable, but somehow that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play another game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice addition to my arcade setup and fun to play with multiple people. A couple annoying things I hope they fix: 1. Can’t control movement with the dpad out of the box. Seems silly since this was originally played with arcade sticks and the dpad isn’t being use for anything else. Not a huge deal to remap but annoying. 2. I see a lot of screen tearing moving from one area to the next. It’s distracting. My setup is more than enough to handle this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whatever you do, please please PLEASE don't buy this game at full price. If you pay €30 for this game, even if you got exactly what you wanted, you are scammed by definition. I really don't say this easily, but this game is legitimately CRIMINALLY priced. This game will NEVER be worth this amount of money. I know it's just a port of an arcade game so you shouldn't expect too much... but even then, it's legitimately one of the worst products I've ever experienced. It was fun to play with friends…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a ok game, a bit repetitive, the moves are limited, a low budget game, its fun playing in coop!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a Steam Deck review. At the time of this review, this game runs smoothly and easy to play on the handheld. There’s no cloud saves in case you delete and redownload, but the content of the game isn’t heavy or needing to unlock much besides the last level or hard mode. The game plays like a 90’s TMNT game which is fine if that’s all you want. That also means the controls are limited to move, jump, and attack. And I wish it was just a jump. The jump button also lunges at an opponent…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I could refund this I would but I bought it as a CD-key so I cant. I though this was the TNMNT Arcade game I played on my 360 ages ago but its just so boring. You do the exact same thing every level but just in a new place. The only reason I completed it is because I did not want it to be a total waste of money 0/10. I should have listened to the reviews.

Back then, It was one of my favourite -if not- the favourite cartoon series. During this time I've also played the SNES game TMNT:Turtles in Time, which probably is still the best Beat 'em Up game ever. Obviously I was talking about the 80s/90s TMNT cartoon but this game TMNT:Wrath Of The Mutants is based on the Nickelodeon version, which I never really have seen but I'm not a total fan…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tbh I am just happy to see some raw thrills games finally coming home. I know they're pretty hated for kind of oversaturating the arcade market, but you can't deny they do make some solid games. Although 40 dollars for a nearly decade old arcade game is definitely a big ask, even if it does have as twice as much content as the original arcade version. I'd get this on sale

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an enhanced version of a 2017 arcade game, with-- according to the description-- three extra stages and six extra boss fights. I never played the original arcade game, so I can't compare the two; however, it feels fairly seamless to me. I have no idea which are the new stages and which are the old, so nothing feels out of place. As for the game itself, it is about what you would expect. It is a side-scrolling beat 'em up that is obviously inspired by the older TMNT arcade games…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing the original arcade game back in either 2017 or 2018 and I was hyped after seeing that the game was coming back better than ever on PC and other platforms. NYC, Sewer, and T.C.R.I. brought me back to the good old days while Dimension X and Amusement Park were perfect additions to the game. I could tell that the developers tried hard on this game and put heart into it. A lot of the other players got mad because the game took 1 hour to beat, in the game's defense, that's just…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is some talk in the forums about was this actually a real arcade game? I think it was at some locations. I believe I may have possible seen it a few years back at the West Town Mall arcade (Knoxville), the one above their movie theater. But I did not play it as they implemented some new debit card like token system (Like the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge arcades have done, you TN folks know). All I know is that is was that next generation ninja turtles where they redesigned April O Neil.…
