What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 276 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Overwhelmingly Positive (45,977 of 47,632 positive).
Players overwhelmingly praise the series for its emotionally charged narrative and character depth. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note that choices often feel illusory and the story railroads players. [4][5] A few players report technical issues, such as game-breaking bugs and missing save options. [6][7]

Few narrative driven games have managed to deliver such an emotionally charged experience as The Walking Dead series. Across its multiple seasons, Telltale Games crafted one of the most memorable on rails adventures in modern gaming one that still stands out for its storytelling, atmosphere, and character depth. The first two seasons, in particular, are exceptional. They feature some of the finest writing in …

I’m 46 years old and I’ve been gaming since I was a kid. I’ve got nearly 6000 hours in DayZ alone. I’ve played everything. The Last of Us, Red Dead 2, Alan Wake, Detroit Become Human, all the big emotional “masterpiece” games everyone talks about. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, has affected me like The Walking Dead Telltale series. This isn’t just a game. It’s an experience. By the end of it I wasn’t …

All of the Telltale Walking Dead games in one package. Anyone who's played any of Telltale game will know that gameplay-wise they are mostly short point-and-click segments and QTEs. Downloaded a Zombie game. Accidentally signed up for emontional damage. Every choice hurts, everyone remembers it, and by the end i was staring at the screen in silence questioning my morals. Amazing story, minimal gameplay, maximum sadness. 10/10 would suffer again. Do not play if you value joy.

Not gonna lie, this game is an easy 10/10 for me. The story hits insanely hard. It actually sucks that Telltale isn’t around anymore, because stuff like this is almost impossible to find now. I don’t think any other game has ever made me cry like an actual kid and leave me sitting there feeling messed up for a while. Absolute masterpiece.

neutral · AI labelView post →The Walking Dead still remains Telltale's finest work in my eyes. I love this series, replayed them all recently and what a series to experience especially back to back, season after season. A truly heartfelt series, S1 of TWD is still one of the best story-driven videogames i've ever experienced. I didn’t realize just how bad S2 was until I replayed it. The characters getting killed off and replaced robbed their deaths of any actual sacrifice or impact on the situation at hand. None of the…

Screw all those long reviews, just know that this collection completely remasters every part, adds incredible blackish style, and gets rid of all those damn achievements for pointless crap, so you can simply enjoy the story. And what a story it is...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduction This is in my opinion the best Telltale game and probably the best game in its genre. It is one of those few games that really hits that emotional spot and where the character design is mastered so well that you believe in their authenticity. This whole series is in my top 25 games I have played. I completed it multiple times and the story hits the same way every time. Season 1 The first season is to many the best and I also rate it very high. Being the first season, it naturally…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Timeless Masterpiece The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is a landmark collection that packages one of gaming's most emotionally charged narratives with visual polish. It allows you to experience the complete, heart-wrenching saga of Clementine – a journey that redefined interactive storytelling. This is essential gaming history. The series' undeniable strengths lie in its masterful character writing, particularly the profound bond between Lee and Clementine in Season 1, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished this game a while ago and genuinely had to take a long break from any screens to process it all. It was a beautiful experience, from the start to the very end. Tough decisions are probably what made this game so immersive, the choices actually matter, and they impact the story when you least expect it. Following the story of Clementine was truly a one of a kind experience, truly feels like I grew as a person myself with that little girl. Loved every second of this game, could not…

negative · AI labelView post →Spoiler Alert ‼️‼️‼️‼️ Honestly, I’m sitting here at the credits and I don't even know what to do with myself. I feel empty, lonely, and just totally drained. This game didn't just end; it finished me. The journey from Season 1 to now has been everything. Watching our little Sweet Pea grow up into this total badass who now has her own "Goofball" in AJ... it’s just the perfect circle. Lee would be so incredibly proud of her. That train scene in Episode 3? I’m not even going to lie, I needed…

AJ is a very lucky boy! New Frontier. what a twist. we see clem in another POV. and finallyyyy, Season Finale, complete all the things. improvement graphics, story, twist, characters. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I know it’s kinda late for this comment, but I just finished this masterpiece, and I’ve gotta say — this game was absolutely one of the best experiences of my life! I know it’s just a game, but I felt it deep in my bones, especially because of Clementine. I’m both happy and sad at the same time, because this journey has finally come to an end. Thank you Telltale and thank you, Clementine! Lee would be so proud of the person you’ve become. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn’t need strong gameplay to fascinate you. It wins with story and emotions. Every choice feels heavy. Every character feels real. You grow with them, suffer with them, and care about them like they’re family especially Clementine. It made me laugh, feel proud, and sometimes just stare at the screen in silence. Simple to play. Deep to feel. Impossible to forget. Twd jumped easily to my top 3 games ever played ! don’t think twice — buy it

Spolier Alert ⚠️ So, you’re looking at this bundle and thinking, "Hmm, should I buy four seasons of a game where I mostly just walk around and click on things?" The answer is yes, but only if you are prepared for the following side effects: uncontrollable sobbing, an irrational attachment to a fictional child, and a newfound fear of strangers asking for food. Honestly this game is a solid 10/10, I could go in depth about everything but theres so many reviews on here that already agree on my point of view on this game. The feels, the story, the characters, everything about this game had time and love put into it and it shows, every season ( even the Michonne story ) was enjoyable to play through and is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Season 1 = Masterpiece Season 2 = Mostly fun, but ruined by bad writing. Season 3 = Okay, nothing special. Some odd choices by Telltale. Season 4 = The ending the series deserves. Overall, I would highly recommend it if you're into TWD lore and/or interactive stories.

A truly incalculable number of weird visual novels, RPGs, and tactics games. All with their roots leading back to one or more Bioware titles. Fucking gutting, man
neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly played the first episode over and over as a kid because i wasnt allowed to spend money on others, now playing this years later and seeing everything grow makes this game better, i came in with low expectations as it is old but it blew me out of the water with its detail and evolution and tune to story i wish more games did this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is not a game — it’s an emotional endurance test disguised as a point-and-click adventure. You don’t play it, you survive it, emotionally limping from episode to episode asking yourself why you trusted anyone ever. You start as Lee Everett, a man with a rough past and the worst timing imaginable, and very quickly become emotionally responsible for Clementine, a child who will absolutely ruin you as a person over the next four seasons. Zombies…

This game is going to be the best among the best story-driven games I’ve played till now. I loved every single second I spent in this world. Lee and Clementine's Story is amazing, the twist's and turns it takes you on are just, an Outstanding Experience. Each episode just ends up topping the next, with things you would never expect, with excellent character arcs throughout the Season. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You'd think with how old the first season is, they would've fixed all of the game-breaking bugs. Whatever you do, do not interact with the car that has the zombie in it by the train in S1 E3. It for whatever reason makes it impossible to reach the far right side of your screen. No matter what you try, it does not fix itself, which means you cannot reach the last switch to turn the train on and progress the game. On top of that, they removed the option to reload the save from a specific part,…

The story is incredible from start to finish, and even knowing some parts already, it still managed to make me care deeply about the characters all over again. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The series is amazing — a solid 9/10 — but Season 3 stops it from being perfect because it loses some of the emotional momentum that made the earlier seasons unforgettable Season 3 feels like it missed the emotional continuity. Clementine grew with us season by season — we protected her, watched her struggle, and cared about her arc. With Javier, we were suddenly asked to care about a new family without the same history or connection. When the season ends and the next begins, it feels like…

The writing is peak, the characters and character development are really good. Every choice matters and will be remembered as story goes, your choice will shape the story. The comic book art style is good. The ending😭🔥. Its must play game✋🏻🤚🏻.
