The OG Vlad Circus is a great game, a bit too expensive for a 4.5 hour runtime, but has everything: great combat, puzzles and a good story. Go play that one instead if you haven't yet. I really liked that game and was looking forward to whatever's next. I didn't even know a new game was coming until just before the release, but maybe that was for the best, I'd be more disappointed if I was hyped for a new Vlad …

Great addition to the Vlad Circus series with everything you can expect from the studio - beautiful pixel art, haunting atmosphere, twisted characters, intriguing story, and some tricky puzzles that demand your attention to details. Highly recommend playing this alongside Descend Into Madness if you haven't experienced that part of the story already.

This game certainly holds fast to the original’s production values, and its interesting story is a suitable new addition to the Vlad Circus lore. For anyone expecting more of the same, however, Curse of Asmodeus doesn’t follow the same path as its predecessor. Sure, there are some light horrific elements but you will never be truly scared or have to battle for your life, with the survival aspects largely gone in …

While Curse of Asmodeous doesn’t quite reach the heights of Descend into Madness, it’s still a fantastic pixel-horror experience. The gameplay is familiar exploration, puzzles, and interaction with everything around you, but that’s part of its charm. The pixel art gives the game a unique atmosphere, and the story remains interesting from start to finish, expanding the circus lore in fascinating ways. Full game …

Vlad Circus Curse of Asmodeus is a DEEP and DARK puzzling history of one mans past. The pixel art is well done and adds to the genre, the price tag is a bit disturbing like the game its self and while the game has bugs in it, this is a full release so hopefully we find none via game play! Review by [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/34633003-Gaming-Masterpieces/lists/] Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam. Is this game a masterpiece? No, but I still enjoyed it a lot. It's an adventure game about the terrifying story of a freak circus in the 1920s that burned down in a terrible disaster. We play the perpetrator. In the predecessor, Vlad Circus: Descend Into Madness, we played a severely traumatized clown who experienced some highly disturbing…

Vlad Circus: Curse of Asmodeus is the new prequel to Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness (2022). It recounts events alluded to in the first game, another dark and sinister tale, this time following Josef Petrescu, co-heir to the circus. It is a fantastic game that expands on the first instalment whilst bringing something new to the table. It will take 4-6 hours to play and features the best elements from a range of game genres, blending them seamlessly to create a unique and atmospheric…

I've mixed feelings for Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness. Captivating story, art, atmosphere. Mental illness is a hard topic to keep a horror game tasteful. Vlad Circus does this great. On the other hand, some game design flaws are present. #indiegame steamcommunity.com/id/Gord10Ahm...

A combination of sequel and prequel to Descend into Madness, Curse of Asmodeus doesn't quite hit the same level of charm and emotion as the original. Play as Josef Petrescu, brother of Vlad Petrescu and co-heir to the Vlad Circus, awakening in the basement of a church voiceless, without memory, and terribly burned after an attempted execution via electric chair. Wander the building as you try to piece together what happened to you, putting the pieces of the past and the present to reveal the…

I just loved the story and style, So of COURSE when I got the opportunity to place this, I was on it like ketchup on a brand new white shirt. I gave this 10/5 paws okay. I got offered this game, and as a fan of pixel mysteries since the age of 8 (shout out to the shareware crowd!) I gave it a go. I was not disappointed. Vlad Circus: Curse of Asmodeus is a sequel (and apparently a prequel??) to another Vlad Circus Game. This game was, quite frankly, amazing in artistry. The story was fun, the art and sound design were impeccable. I got jumpscared at moments and in ways that made sense. I will update this more, but overall I highly recommend this game.

Recommended, and the story earns it even where patience frays. The narrative threads converge across an asylum and underworld with payoffs that reframe earlier obstacles, and a central twist retroactively explains the mechanics themselves, turning every respawn and recovery into canon rather than convenience. Mirrors double as memory devices walking a 72-hour countdown backwards, and the Testament of Solomon lore gives the demon mythology unusual depth. A final gas-and-light-switch escape…

The game is primarily a point-and-click adventure, but without overwhelming you with back-and-forth mechanics, which was the flaw of the first title. Here, you play more with the linearity of the narrative thanks to a classic but effective trick: flashbacks. As Josef's reflection encounters mirrors, you relive the few hours leading up to the circus fire. You try to make amends with your angry brother—because Josef has always been a jerk—by attempting to recruit an artist in the rotten town of…

This game is fun, especially after having played Descend Into Madness but, the writing breaks immersion. The line that stood out to me the most was in El Dorado. "Damn, dude.... You're delusional ha ha". I think the team could have done better. I still very much enjoyed this, thank you!

It's hard to compare it to its predecessor Descend into Madness as the vibe and playstyle is quite different. This game is haunting in a different way and I still liked it a lot. It's packed with a great prequel story, a haunting soundtrack, some not too easy puzzles and an oppressive atmosphere. 8/10 as I found the gambling sequence a bit annoying (also it might trigger some people out there) and one or two solutions a bit too moon-logic-ially :)

Phenomenal puzzle game with the perfect eerie vibes! A couple of the puzzles could do with a bit more direction/clarity. I got a little stuck when I was chasing the thief through the streets, I thought it was just a puzzle to figure out the quickest available path and didn't realise I had to interact with something to cut off a pathway , but this could be a skill issue on my part 🤭 I did also get confused on where to find the pipe , I think it could be made a little more obvious which…
