More indepth than ETS2/ATS +Realistic feeling of being a truckdriver + Can go out of the truck and fuel it and go into gasstations, also for unhook/hook the trailer. It´s very immersive. + Animals (Does not feel stonedead like in ETS2 Immersion wise I think this game is very special in the way that you actually feel like you are a truckdriver. Not like the clinical simulation of ETS2/ATS where they dont simulate …

As someone who has their CDL, ETS and ATS. I had my doubts about getting this, I said to myself the videos don’t look great and I already have what is known as the best truck sim. Wow was I wrong, I am sorry for ever doubting this title, it’s a fantastic trucker game with all the details you can ever want that’s never been available yet. Respect to the devs the physics and handling, weather, life sim aspect …

For $5.50 (what I paid) I'd say it's worth it Think of it as a truck themed survival game. It's jenkier than ATS or ETS2, but it has a bunch of features people have been dying for in those games. It kinda reminds me of My Summer Car, though without any story or the crazy brutal punishments. You start at the beginning of summer, so you can get acclimated to the game before experiencing winter. For me, this built a …

The game is abandoned. The developers are releasing DLCs and are already planning a NEW project without finishing this one. Issues from 2023 remain unresolved. The game’s performance is poor, but the worst part is the bugs within the game itself. I expected the project to be completed, but it was simply released and left as is. I regret the time spent and the trust placed in the developers.

At this stage the game seems to have largely been abandoned, in the event I spot more support for this in the future I'll amend this review accordingly. As it stands Alaskan Road Truckers promised a truly unique experience but ultimately failed to deliver. In the event you have an itch for a truck sim, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't normally write reviews... This game started out pretty rough with a lot of bugs, over the time, the devs has fixed and made the game playable. The negative review is because of the publisher. They are investigating/sueing an indie dev. The devs of this game should start looking for another publisher. Just look at the reviews/comments for Drug Dealer Simulator 1 & 2. I will never buy any game from this publisher again. Already ignore all their games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful game, go buy euro truck or american truck simulator, horrible graphics optimized unity game. AI voices. You name it

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →✨Gremlins Against Trafficking✨ In two weeks, The Gremlin Squad will be hosting our first independent charity event, in support of TAT (Truckers Against Trafficking). We'll be focusing on playing games like American Truck Sim and Alaskan Road Truckers. More info on the graphic and below ⤵️
neutral · AI labelView post →It had promise, but im sorry to say the game is dead and it died hard and fast. Not only would I not buy it I'd recommend staying away from this developer as they seem to just abandon projects quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite bad. It looked good, however the graphics are bad. The game jumps at times and it needs to be optimised. This is just a game where developers wanted to make as much out of it as they can without doing very little work. This game is no longer updated and it is a waste of money. Do not buy this game. American Truck Sim or Euro Truck Sim is much better in terms of graphics, dlc's and they are both still being updated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought the game when it first came out. What a dissapointment, the game should have been early acces, but was releleased as a fully finiished game. Now the dews have started on new game while this one is still a mess, full of bugs and ai that apperently have a death wish. And what about system req. min rtx 2060 recommended rtx 3060. ATS have better graphics and recommended a gtx 1660. Shame on this dev team for take our money and left us with this broken mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was advertised for quite a long time, and on paper it felt like a first real jump forward from SCS games. Although when it shipped, it proved to be in the same league of the other 3000 driving games made in Unreal engine. Graphics are choppy and performances are stuttering even on high end hardware, the gameplay is fun as you get out of the truck and do some work when delivering loads, but most of the time is spent driving, and if the driving model is not good and traffic AI is not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →logitech g hub being a requirement for your wheel to function is 100% a deal breaker. This is the only truck sim game I have ever played where that was a required. AVOID until these devs stop being lazy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally no issues with game, in matter of fact i like it. Rarely writing reviews but this is for one reason only. For not minding own business. Have 4 games from same publisher and they will get same review. Cheers
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another example of a game with a great concept but poor execution. I bought this game on release some 18 months ago and kept coming back to it periodically to see if things had improved as they said they would. I think my playtime of 4.7 hours over those 18 months tells you all you need to know. It's so poorly optimised and clumsy that it just doesn't keep you hooked. It's probably one of my biggest let downs, i really want this game to work and be good as the concept is fantastic but the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, Devs have abandoned it, won’t fix the game but will continue releasing paid DLC. If for whatever reason you want to buy this waste of money game. Go to FaceB and look at there page and read comments in posts. It will show you all the reason you need to not buy this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game when it first released with high hopes for a really decent trucking sim as I am a fan of many others. Realised very quickly that it ran incredibly poorly and at the time steering wheel and controller support barely functioned if at all. Thought no worries its got its issues, ill just let it sit for awhile and come back in a few months and hopefully it'll be sorted as the devs seem like the care about the game. Came back several months later, now has steering wheel support,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been waiting for years for an update to fix its issues. Nothing . Dead game, for YEARS. now they give you a free Truck Skin. No. This game is dead and there working on another game now for more $$$ this one no more updates nevr had updates btw. And its buggy and Laggy to the point you cant even play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do like some of the life simulator aspects of the game like truck maintenance, food, shopping, things like that. But for it being Alaskan, it has far too much of a European vibe to it. 14 speed and 16 speed transmissions? Not in the US. Not like that. I like the ability to get out of the truck and to get into the sleeper so you can park and keep the truck running and sleep in the truck like you would in real life. Outside of that, if you want an actual truck sim experience, just go get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this game lived up to half of its potential and promise it would have been a decent game. Years from launch and its still riddled with bugs, hindered immersion with graphics more suited to 2010. Game pretty much died in the early access phase, I swear then only passed it as "full release" to get it launched on consoles and get that cash grab. Just stick with ETS2 & ATS, and hope that Truck Sim World can give us that deep immersive experience. Because Alaskan Road Truckers falls way short...…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the game in a open demo version, later closed demo again and bought the game after release. Played for almost to hours and then later refunded it, due to it's bad ai and glaring performance issues. Save your money and buy something else, like American Truck Simulator or European Truck Simulator. Similiar price, but very diferent quality. But if you are from Alaska and want to drive through your homestate, then atleast do yourself and your wallet the favour and wait unti this game is on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The truck driving is ♥♥♥♥, the controls feel like your driving a sports car with no grip or traction, Graphics even on the highest settings look so bad, like the game was made for mobile
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's.... rough. I really like the idea of being a trucker and not the truck as most of these games work. Its cool getting out and hooking up the chains, refueling manually, performing fixes, etc. I like managing your home office and making upgrades and doing personal level ups and whatnot BUT the actual mechanics of how the truck handles and just how unnatural and clunky the main gameplay loop is was just too bad for me to recommend this. I really like the premise and I would highly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has been out for almost 2 years now and it is still very poorly optimized, and i have still have many crashes. My pc is very capable of running almost any game with high settings. With low settings at 1080p i am getting around 45 fps and it stays the same with all the settings. The fps gets worse with the performace setting with DLSS. I have lost lots of cash because i couldnt lock my trailor because the parking brake wasnt on, BUT i couldnt get into the truck to engage it because the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend this game in its current state. There are no options to turn off things such as the police, which would be nice. The graphics are charming, and the scenery/weather is amazing. There are no mods whatsoever for this game. I haven't yet played through winter and driven on ice roads, my main reason for getting this game. It's too difficult to maintain cash because everything is so expensive. At this point I'm going to return to the other truck simulator, since it's less…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I accidentally purchased the "truckin hell" DLC from a website thinking I was buying the full game, I couldn't activate said DLC without owning the full game so I felt obligated to purchase this, after playing for around an hour I can see why people are leaving negative reviews around the game. I like the idea of having a character to control, being able to connect the suzies, match the kingpin etc but it's just clunky AF, the control scheme surrounding these interactions are also abolsutely…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice game but you cant access the savegame files and delete them or create a new one where if you need to start over you cant and you cant use the same name it is stupid i dont recommend this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hi, ok so people might like this game and i surely like it too, but as a senior Euro truck 2 and American truck Simulator player i kinda feel some dissappointment in me, the graphics although set on epic mode still look like you're inside one or the other cartoon movie, Steering the truck with a keyboard is hell the steering is way to rough in first person mode, the gear changing on automatic mode is like u just need to keep putting the foot on the throttle or u eventually will stall still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I get to try the sequel, I wanted to try Alaskan Road Truckers - I have to say I quite like the premise of a truck simulation game with survival elements (health, cooking, warmth, truck maintenance), but the demo didn't treat me well. (1/3)
negative · AI labelView post →Overall, a solid and enjoyable trucking game with some unique ideas. Alaskan Road Truckers does a few things that set it apart, especially the ability to get out of the truck and physically interact with the environment, which ATS and ETS do not focus on at all. There’s a decent amount of content, and the core gameplay loop is enjoyable. While the game does have some bugs and optimization issues, it offers a more hands-on and immersive approach to trucking than most other games in the genre.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was 2 years, 1 month, 18 days, 17 hours, and 6 minutes ago that we started looking forward to an update that added cruise control. The waiting continues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mid sim. Only thing differs from ats is leaving the cabin and walking around the truck, also mid 'survival' mechanics. That's it. Everything else is worse. Blinkers are bugged to this day. Get on heavy sale
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea. Bad graphics, physics, truck handling. Poor performance.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I invested 8 hours into this game to have it glitch one time when hooking up a trailer and destroy the cargo, this hurt my reputation. I played another ~5 or 6 hours and it glitched my truck into a fence. I was stuck int he fence and could not complete my mission. I lost the 8k for the haul, and had to call a cb to haul me to a road. They damaged my truck and it cost 7.5 k to fix it. That glitch ended my career. This game is crappy made and is a waste of your time. I want a refund of my money…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its been what...? 2 years since release and it is runnin on 30 fps still .. (spec: 64gb ram Radeon 9070 16gb r7 5700x not the best not the worst.. )
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor control. Wheel support requires Logitech software which destroys settings for modern wheels, including other Logitech wheels. Typical FPS of 25 on a RTX5090. This is not acceptable in 2023 - definitely give it a miss.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not even on the 5 Euro sale its worth it. Buggy, Mirror FPS under 1, Resetting to the road puts you somewhere on a fence. Bad. Rather play ETS. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've already given the game a second chance, the first time I played immediately after it came out. The game continues to be a total disaster, the whole idea of the beginning was very fascinating to me and I was very curious about the game. Maybe you no longer fall under the map as you did at the beginning, or do not block a character or a truck, but it's still lame. The mechanics of driving a truck is very strange, it's hard to drive it. Additional thing is that the graphics do not knock, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game role play is good. but the graphic is completely broken. they are full of glitch , lagging and also full of terrain pop up which affect driving expedience as well. Which is really serious is , the developer of this game doesn't giving any feedback. and they just mute customer's complaint. so despite of role pay thing rest are completely broken
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its pretty cool but has a major problem. Performance. It runs badly, and my system isnt even at the limit. And it runs better on high settings than on lower ones. Please fix this issue, so i can recommend it :)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a shame how this game shaped out. It was a promising and with effort, is a fun and challenging truck driving game, but it lacks basic wheel support. The developers who I presume code things and develop things(hence the name of the profession) would be capable of developing a basic joy-axis detection system, I mean it's literally technology as old as game design itself. But instead they pass the buck onto the paying consumer to require Logitech G Hub. Which, if you don't own a logitech…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairly unplayable, because of quite annoying bugs... 1. I had over 20K dollars when I had to drive to a repair station, as I don't have the perk to build my workshop yet. Arriving there I have found a pretty large empty concrete square, when suddenly, out of blue the building itself has spawned, colliding with my truck. As a result I have died and my truck got wrecked completely. I had to pay over 2K for 'hospital treatment' and over 12K for the repair (basically, complete restoration) of my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fix your AI cars i got head on by AI got rear ended by Ai and at every intersection they stop in the middle of the road infront of you and block you . it needs fixed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A patch for Alaskan Road Truckers applied the size optimizations from the full game to the demo build - I guess it's time I finally try it!
neutral · AI labelView post →This game has a terrible optimization that is practically impossible to play. Even in the Fernbus simulator (which is one of the worst in optimization as well) I can run at a fluid 30fps. But in this one you can't stay more than 1 hour dropping to 25fps even on low, which is unfeasible for a current game. And there are still the graphics settings that instead of improving only leave the game with cell shading graphics.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to do something fun soon, maybe next week - check out Alaskan Road Truckers Demo, and then Truck World: Australia Demo immediately after. See which Polish truck sim game feels better!
neutral · AI labelView post →i just recently bought the game and so far im impressed with this game and all the little mechanics involved like manually attaching the trailer going to the grocery store to get clothes and food and also popping the hood to refill liquids and do repairs. for a small team this is more than 7 dollars is worth. dont let the mixed reviews deter you although with all the optimization reports id only recommend if you have a medium to high end pc
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →extremely broken really disappointed, had high hopes for this game and brushed off a ton of bugs and glitches but theres so many its basically unplayable, my last straw at tolerating these glitches was when i was dropping off a trailer backing it in and then my truck flew and my cargo was destroyed, not to mention horrible driving and steering physics, faulty controls, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gearbox for pc and controller and so much more, mind you i've only played this game for a day and a half and discovered…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After much thought and playing the game and knowing how much time passed by which they could have repaired and replace things that were missing in the game my final grade is... I am not the only one who feels this way about the game, I have reviewed quite a number of comments on Youtube concerning this game and there are a lot of people who don't like it who are disappointed if you go on Youtube and go under the name of this game you'll find people who are mocking this game as they play it in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game to play, good mechanics and semi realistic. I enjoy the fact you have to get in and out the truck and manually add the cables etc. makes it a fun experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried it when it came out and again recently seeing there have been some updates. It could have been interesting, but overall it is just a big disappointing mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't seen any worse optimization before.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →currently many glitches. from the GPS being wrong at times to how the truck gets a mind of its own. I am not currently impressed. Many good features and Maybe the issues will be fixed but at this point I would get a refund if I could.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It needs more baking in the oven. It feels like the developer was having a lot of ideas in mind, but they are all unfinished. I hope that they will carry on improving since the game mechanics are interesting and fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much more invasive than "ATS" can actually get out of the Tractor & Maintain everything unlike it's Competitor.
