It is with a heavy heart that I didn't enjoy this game. I have only played single player, for multiplayer or Co-op this review will not cover much. There was some fun ideas, some moments that made me smile but there are several points that caused me to put it down before it was done. I would describe this more of a puzzle game with some fighting. The "puzzle element" is actually fairly fun, but feels massively out …

Only problems so far are Barely anyone plays right now so online matches are really hard to find and get into. There are no bots to do versus against with a Co-op buddy. Otherwise the game is actually very fun! Wish so badly there was a versus against bots that would easily justify me playing the game but since Campaign has a limited replay ability the game itself depends on online players to play its most fun game mode Versus. So I suppose the huge weakness is CURRENTLY its sort of a gamble…

Very disappointing... Nothing that i had concerns or critiques about back in the feburary demo, were ever changed. You still spend the vast majority of game play just walking around, picking up brainium chunks that respawn on the map. Since there's no auto collecting building that you can place on them. And the mine able brainium, permanently runs out in what feels like just 1-2 minutes or less, faster than any other resource in rts in history. In the very short 15 minute and 12 minute…

Positives: This is a fantastic game for both solo and co-op play. The gameplay is easy to pick up, yet can become strategically challenging in certain scenarios. While the default difficulty feels a bit light, the campaign does ramp up at times, keeping things interesting. Missions are a joy to replay, especially when hunting for hidden secrets scattered across the maps. Overall, it's surprisingly hard to put down during the first campaign playthrough. The visuals and art direction are solid,…

Really appreciate the friend's pass. This game wasn't really what I expected. Its trying to do a lot and some of the vibe is conflicting for me. So much feels like platformer but the platformer mechanics don't feel good with slow movement, no double jump, basic attacks. So its not a platformer, its a methodical RTS, but then I didn't really enjoy controlling my units either? Gonna try couch co-op and see how that feels.

This game has been a lovely experience. I have only played with a friend so far, so I cannot speak to the solo play mechanics. However, playing the game as a team is absolutely lovely. It is smooth and polished with a fun art style that isn't so cartoony as to be childish. The level of difficulty is wonderful and I am having a great time with it. A lovely product that I am encouraging my friends to try.

Finally someone cracked the formula to make a GOOD RTS/Shooter hybrid! This game is a ton of fun to play solo or with a friend. Very kid friendly too; I'm playing through the campaign with my 8 year old daughter and we're LOVING it. I wish it had an easier mode, the story and lore is cute but the dialogue writing and humor is pretty cringe and mediocre. Still, fantastic gameplay and visuals!

A Fun coop TPS RTS style mixup. Enjoyed playing through the campaign with my partner. Could use PvE modes or an endless mode, but it sounds like those are in the plans by the devs so we'll see. Otherwise just a fun time. Its a great way for RTS and Platformer fans to play a game together where there normally isnt a lot of overlap.

It's a cute little RTS. Very creative and family friendly with original mechanics. Well worth the price. But... The non-stop banter is corny and repetitive. It gets old, really fast. Building placement is like finding a g-spot on the ground. There really needs to be clearer visual guidance for where a building can be placed and what's preventing it from doing so.

Would love to play with random folks online, but for some reason no sessions are ever available. So sometimes, in great secrecy, I play solo. Gameplay is very smooth. The campaign is annoying and pretty bad. you have to "unlock" your units all over again for each stage using nodes that are scattered around the map which forces the player to follow a specific path of progression through each mission, sometimes forcing the player to make the mission more difficult than it needs to be in later missions. And it's made even more annoying when you realize the Character repeat their dialog throughout the mission which gets on my nerves as they won't STFU. (it's one…

This is a case of "Its simpler than it looks" Base organization is not there. Commands are issued by unit type and not selecting any 1 unit. You cannot manage unit behavior like guard, attack/move, or anything like that, it is just move Unit Type 1 to point B, and the units will auto attack with priority on buildings. The shooting and action aspects are simple but work, clearly designed for a younger player. Which is likely why the devs have smartly included a Friend's pass system so you…

Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids is interesting combination between different game genres as strategy, tower defense and action game. I liked the game and I think it is better to be played by two players. The first 2-3 levels seems easy but after that the game requires a lot of thinking. It seems like a serious strategy, you have to think fast, to move fast and to coordinate your units. Where other RTS games have me overthinking, overplanning and overpreparing, Chip'n'Clawz is deviously designed to always push me forward in a breathless, frenzied swarm - packing a punch of chaotic fun that I never expected to get from this genre. Its third person perspective urges you to get hands-on with the strategic action, opening the battlefield vertically in ways a top-down view never could, while clever puzzle-like segments break up the pace. Starts off a bit slow getting you used to the controls and mechanics of the game but man if you play on hard it ramps up the difficulty pretty fast. We found ourselves struggling to keep up with the AI and actually having to plan our actions to complete the mission. Although this is not my usual esthetic, I found the game to be surprisingly fun, dynamic and challenging at times. I'm a casual player and found myself replaying certain maps just because I wanted to get a better result, which doesn't happen often. I really like the third person action with Clawz in particular. Perhaps the only thing that kept bugging me was the fact that I couldn't split the numbers of a particular unit and send them in different places but hey - this is not StarCraft! I don't…
