What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 187 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (620 of 741 positive).
Players praise the game's unique mechanics and quality-of-life features. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game becomes grindy and relies heavily on RNG. [4][5][6]

If you're running this on Linux/Steam Deck, AVOID. There are game-breaking bugs on those platforms and the devs haven't responded to multiple reports and requests for update. It has some unique mechanics that set it apart and it's overall a fun experience until you get to the …

Lots of fun with some unique elements. I wasn't sure about the art style at first but it grew on me quick. Everything is so colourful and fun, lots of decor items too. The dialog is funny and quirky. The only thing that I don't like is the RNG to get some late game items for museum and achieves but not a big deal for me. And this last patch introduced some items to help with some of these. I love that we don't have …

Finally get to play a chill farming simulator where you wake up from the matrix and can eventually get bots to help you farm and fight. Thanks Humble Choice July 2025! +1 Because there's no stamina system. +1 Because your pet starts out being able to clear, till and water the soil for you. +1 Because you don't need to gift spam the NPCs of the town. +1 Because the fishing mini-game isn't a click-fest.

Amazing start, gradually falls off. We had a lot of fun with this. However, it starts to feel almost like an idler/collectathon after a while. There are a ton of items to collect, but purely for the sake of collection. Endgame is grinding for specific items (one of which has a 1:10000 drop chance). There's very little sense of surprise, and although the story starts cool and mysterious, it doesn't come to any …

Looks like a cheap clone but actually has innovation in the genre. Plays amazing. Foraging is turned up to 11. The mine has a cool unique feel. Your pet matters. The permanent upgrades are all relevant. The story is funny and PERFECTLY FITS the style and execution of the game. The events/minigames are short and sweet and rewarding, the cooking, the simulator, even the dumb song thing works. The economy with …

Players who liked Everafter Falls talk about no stamina system and pet automation reduce stress; those who didn't talk about late-game relies on tedious RNG for museum items. Which matters more to you?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game does a lot of things well. It has some unique mechanics that I haven't seen before, and the cutscenes are quite fun. There's a lot to like about it. However, the reason I'm ultimately not able to recommend this game is because I think the systems simply aren't deep enough. There is almost no point to doing anything except to complete the museum collection. Food cannot be eaten, it can only be sold or donated to the museum. Mobs have no drops, so there's little to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It went from good to meh to bad. It's still a decent game but nothing great and absolutely horrible for completionists. Played on hard difficulty with keyboard and mouse. First, the bad Combat - bland dungeons (linked square rooms), little variety to enemies and poor mechanics. There is no dodge and animations are stiff, you have to always hit-and-run to keep your distance. Some enemies are damaging you on contact and several ranged enemies shoot way too fast making some random rooms…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a slogggggg compared to games like Sun Haven, Stardew, and Fae Farm. I was absolutely in love with the game for the first 10 hours or so but then I started to realize how much RNG there is in aquiring resources you need and the absurdly long crafting times. I tried trudging through for another fourteen hours or so, even installed mods to make me move faster + have more storage. I had to quit eventually, it just feels like a straight up job and not a cozy game. pros + different…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's spring in Everafter Falls already! Only a few more weeks in the game to go before it's time to review my experience! I feel like this flew by so fast
positive · AI labelView post →Everafter Falls is a cute farming sim set in... another world. With talking animal - actually adorable ones. Although I would have liked some kind of solution for the Hersha situation o.O - and a Giant Toad. Seriously, that one will never not be creepy. While farming is pretty straightforward - I seriously love how the pet does the soil prep and watering! - the collections can be a bit on the frustrating side. At least if you really want to complete it all. The game does not tell you a lot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the simplistic game art, but the game overall is not fun, lots of walking with tons of stuff you can do, but everything requires an insane amount of time to get the materials for and it doesn't even make any sense. Really gross achievements as well. Avoid this game if you have any respect for your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glass is made ONLY with iron plus charcoal..... says enough about the game and the dev(s). Although I found the game charming and love the pixie mechanic, the game lacks so much, it is incomplete/unfinished game. Pros: I liked the graphics Pixies Cons: Absolutely no story!! Nearly every aspect of the game feels incomplete/unfinished. Quests, lack there of, and quantity too. Fishing, does seasons affect it at all? [ie: lowers or increases fish population, or maybe chances of certain fishing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT SELL YOUR LETTERS FOR 60 COINS!!! They're needed for something else. Game's like a simplified version of Stardew. Has some cool, I believe unique ideas. Less stressful, but hard to figure stuff out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have been itching for another Stardew Valley, this may somewhat scratch that itch, but it also may not... It is my understanding that a 2.0 version should be releasing soon which aims to add even more things to do and fix. The main bug I encountered was that sometimes a day can get stuck at a very specific time, which seems to only be resolved by closing out and restarting the game. You can use this to your advantage to prolong the days even more, but if your tasks rely on the time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is boring and the worst part is that everything is so random that you eventually hit a wall and realize you'll be doing nothing but waiting for weeks or more in game to progress at all. You need an item? It's produced by an animal you can't buy unless a rare random chance happens in the store. You need materials after all the dungeons are closed? Better hope you get a pixie (which is given randomly) that can mine a whopping 3 Iron a night. 5 iron = 1 bar and I need 10 bars for a side…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was fine until the first end-of-month event. You cannot have a RHYTHM MINIGAME where the visuals DON'T SYNC WITH THE MUSIC. Even with the audio muted, it's clear that there is no rhythmic connection between the falling arrows. Horrible execution that shows the dev didn't take 5 minutes to understand how a given minigame is supposed to work. If this early minigame is this bad, how bad are the rest of them going to be? Waste of 20 hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game and has some nice and create features that I liked but it has one major problem, it is insanely grindy more than any farming game i ever played, it is so frustrating since i wanted to finish the story but i don't think i can, the crafting and requirements, so many items and tree items, they require stuff that stuff require other stuff to make, this game is underrated and I liked it at first but i had to give it a thumb down.

As always, I get reviews out when they're ready since some games take a while to get to the 1 year (in game) mark. This usually is 1-2 months total but can be longer. 1st: Everafter Falls 2nd: To Pixelia Hope you look forward to it! ♡

neutral · AI labelView post →I got the game in a bundle so i didn't read the reviews beforehand but i agree with what the other negative reviews say, the game seems fun at first til you see how shallow it all is. the dungeons are all the same, just room after room of holding down the attack button. there's a story, but not much of one. High RNG factor. Since you don't really interatct with the villagers other than fetch quests its hard to care about them. The game is basically a scavenger hunt and that's ok, but as it…

neutral · AI labelView post →Like SDV but with enough unique features that it doesn't just feel like a clone. Noteworthy features include: no stamina bar, a pet to help you with some farming automation, and a fishing mini-game that I personally much prefer. Criticisms: claims to be a split screen co op game but I found the second player controls so awkward and difficult to remember that we gave up almost instantly. Online co op might be easier. Another criticism is that the game sometimes is a bit picky with where you've…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a cute slice of life game which takes inspiration from both card games and farming sims. There is basically no tutorial which is fine but this game is probably not recommended for people who have never played farm sims before. The learning curve can be rather steep. There is also no quest tracking which can make finding NPCS or quests hand ins difficult. Controllers adaptability 5/10 :controller usage ( can be difficult to move items between inventories as well as collect items like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has been a Gem to find. It is such a great blend of so many cozy games, and the developer really blended them well. Playing split screen with my son has been a blast and playing alone has really drawn me in. I would love to see Lan or Online play so hubby and I can play on our steam decks in bed. It would be a great addition. Great Job!!! Look forward to see more future work!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could go with a between recommend option for this game. It does scratch a Stardew Valley itch in the beginning but I think it falls short on content later on. I love the card based upgrades, the drones and the pet behaviour, it is really something unique in this genre and I like that the game isn't mainly about relationship building, marriage etc (which personally I find quite tedious in other similar games), this game is more about mission completion for other characters, but I can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not great. Cute graphics but everything takes a long time. There are a lot of time-wasting bloat mechanics. To get bricks for creating crafting machines, you have to process shells in a furnace for 1 hour. To get a black brick for creating a crafting machine, you have to process 5 bricks for 12 hours. Making a rope takes 4 hours. Lots of RNG drops too so it takes forever to feel like you're making progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All the cozy game fans out there. I have an extra steam key for Everafter Falls. Must be redeemed in US. Just like and repost to enter. Winner will be randomly selected. Good luck.
neutral · AI labelView post →I really loved this game up until two minutes ago when I realized just how slow the pacing is in the game. It takes forever just to craft things, and it takes forever just to progress in the game. It feels like pulling teeth. Everything is so slow. And it drives me nuts. At least with My Time At Sandrock/Portia, it was easy to make the crafting machines so that progress would be faster. The only grinding was in gathering the resources. With this game, gathering resources is slow, crafting is…

neutral · AI labelView post →Charming farming game. The Good: - The no-limbs a la Rayman was a little awkward at first but it grew on me quickly. The writing of the characters is great, they are a little one-note but their simple motivations are both endearing in a sense of naivety and make the whole area feel innocent and light-hearted. - The museum is really fun to build out, the items have great art, all the cooking dishes look appetizing, the colors everywhere are vivid. - I will be listening to the soundtrack of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it have some good things going on. I felt that nothing really happens. Maybe I took the wrong turns, but everytime I got something new and thought now I'm going to progress faster I didn't I got frustrated in the end. The story is not that interesting, not many quests and it did feel like I kept doing the same thing over and over again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game in my Humble Choice and I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm 60hrs in and really enjoying it. It has a lot of the things you've come to expect from a farming sim type cozy game, but it has a lot of nice creative twists so it isn't the same old thing. Different types of minigames I haven't played in this genre, a new way to use your fishing rod that actually took me a whole season before I realized was a game mechanic. I don't want to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is cute but its honestly very mid. All there is to do is just filling up the museum and running around doing little quests. For how little there is in the game its costs too much. Also plenty of bugs like losing your pet mid teleport or time completely freezing. You might as well just play Stardew
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everafter Falls is a hidden gem. It's a rare, charming indie game that's clearly made with lots of love. The dialogue is chill and wholesome, avoiding the cringe or awkward forced conversations common in many indie farm sims (like Coral Island and Sun Haven). The game quietly encourages exploration by not explaining much upfront, which is both charming and kinda confusing. It took several hours before I realized just how many layers there are. Better developer communication on updates and bugs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2.5 hours in... Everafter Falls is a frustrating experience. I couldn’t even complete the first two quests I received. I was tasked with using a fishing pole to get a mushroom that was behind the town aquarium. I think I found the aquarium but, by golly, there aren’t any mushrooms near it to retrieve with the fishing pole. So, after about 30 minutes of wandering around feeling stupid I gave up on this quest and took another. Now I need to take a baby bird somewhere to get help. This seems…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very weak and basic derivative of Stardew Valley. The multiplayer in particular is very cobbled-together and so buggy it isn't even worth trying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it crazy innovative and the next Stardew Valley? No. But I think this little gem has a lot to offer those who like the farming genre. There is a very deep museum system not unlike Animal Crossing, and the progression there is tied to progression in the world. Yes, RNG is a huge factor in finding some of the items, however, I find it to be fun. Like a little scavenger hunt I go on every day, and I'm excited to see if I am going to find something new. They also have incorporated a lot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is so good! it's like all my fave parts from similar games combined. some of my fave things: There's no energy bar, you don't have to level up friendship with villagers, the main shop never closes (f you Pierre), there's a museum to donate to, the mines have teleport points, If you're not a fishing fan you can turn off the mini game, and so much more If you're a fan of Stardew Valley like games but don't like the stressful parts this is probably the game for you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This scratches a certain SDV itch, but is still different enough, even more of a collect-a-thon, or at least it feels more like one. Recommended, but not for people who enjoy the social aspect of SDV, this feels like it comes a bit short here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely love this very cozy game! After playing almost 200 hours and watching the credits roll, I'm still playing to fill the museum, get all the plushies, cook all the recipes (although not needed for gameplay), and clear the final dungeon. I love its unique elements, like drones for watering crops, and support drones for help in battling, rescuing birds that can't fly, using pixies to help with resources, clearing the dungeons, then planting flowers to shed light for ultimate prizes. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of farm-life games out there, this one has the goods. All the classic stuff you want (farming, fishing, mining and fighting in a simple dungeon) without a lot of the headaches (NO stamina bar, a generous day length, your livestock don't melt in a little rain, no awkwardly bribing villagers to like you with gifts they'll rudely disparage). You get a strange little magical pet who is somehow both a hoe and a watering can, and eventually can teleport you and your goods around town too.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is based on a 10+ hours progress, despite the playtime shown by Steam. I was afk frequently for long periods of time. Pretty simple life sim. Might be a little too simple for some people's preferences, but I like to keep it simple. It's got your standard mining and farming combo with the side of animal care and NPC requests. This game gives a feeling of more structure in terms of progression and NPC quests, and it also has quests and events based on seasons. It helps give a sense…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying just running around going day to day and poking at things to see what happens. I don't feel a rush to complete a quest or a task, or like I'm going to be analyzed for how profitable my farm is. I feel it's a kind of low-stakes, 'cozy', game that isn't going to be what someone who's wanting to speed run a story line is going to enjoy. There's too many things that require waiting, or certain randomized objects to appear. Like a flower that blooms once a in-game month. There is a…

Everafter Falls opens with your protagonist walking down the street slowly. They go to cross, look both ways, and are immediately completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flattened by a car. I honestly respect this move so much as a filtering mechanism for people who won't like the game, lol. You find out pretty quickly that the accident happened in a simulation -- you wake up next to a VR set, and find out you'd apparently…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not in current state, kinda boring, but a lot of potential
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very little sense of progression as everything takes so long and the RNG involved with the museum/aquarium is incredibly boring, there are many better games in the genre.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, do not buy this game. It's got so many confusing choices I wonder if they even understand the genre they're attempting to be in. First, there's barely any controller support. Movement was flipped on my Xbox controller, which was so weird. WASD movement is fine. The art style is.. odd. The choice to use a paper cutout system makes sense in for their animation workload, but then going to use a pixel art style for the character art is odd. The pixel art was good, which was weird they didn't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lovely little game. I've played a bunch of farming kinda-cozy games and since Stardew, this one I liked probably the most, in spite of some classic aspects not being there. I think the store capsule image does the game huuuuge disservice. I'm pretty sure I initially skipped the game while scrolling through the lists, because it looked very generic to me. But I would encourage everyone to at least give it a chance and not just because you can have live piñata llama thingy on your farm…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a sim-life, farming, mixed with a little bit of dungeon crawling. TL,DR; It's good if you like the game play loop of fishing, mining, crafting, etc and a bit of ongoing story loop. Pros: Graphics are clean, easy on the eyes, and well done for the characters. This won't strain your graphics card. There's a pleasing background music, Straightforward game play loop. If you love gathering resources, crafting, and farming, you'll enjoy this. NPCs have some individual story lines.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm glad to have finally played a farm game, now I finally could confirm I love this genre. Possibly that not having played the classics yet like Star made it easier to appreciate the game. The systems are fairly simple(for example you don't have specific periods for different fish/critters), but it has enough to keep you going for a pretty good while. The fishing minigame is a cool concept, and I found the pixies to be quite interesting to handle (a word of advice, don't pick out rare…

Everafter Falls has unique elements that I haven't yet seen in other games that were both interesting and fun. My absolute favorite thing about Everafter Falls is the festivals/events, which are the best in any game I've ever played. The cooking minigame is damn addictive! neutral · AI labelView post →This is a cute and well developed game, but it lacks luster. The early game starts strong and I was really engaged. However, as time passes it seemed to become more tedious and monotonous. The dungeons and the enemies within are all similar. No real fighting but swing and dodge. After I completed the dungeons, I find out....wait there is more! UhhGG! At this point I 'm taking a pause and may or may not continue. I'm just a bit bored. Remember, this is Everafter Falls, not Stardew…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun cozy game. One of the few Stardew-esque games out there that seems to have some heart to it. You can tell the devs care about the in-game world. Does it have some issues? Yeah, sure. Completing the museum is a late-game drag of RNG with no real options to target rare items and the lack of direction through the game as to what to do next can have you stuck in gameplay loops with no idea about how to actually progress at times. But overall, this game is an enjoyable download if you feel…
