What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 259 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (96,602 of 103,807 positive).

One of my favorite games but I can't recommend it in good faith due to the devs using generative AI for art assets in recent patches. A couple threads on Reddit exist discussing this issue over the last year

Immortal Redneck, only with friends. I'll note that the game is addictive; we played for 10 hours in one night session. +Co-op. The synchronization between players is very good. There are no unexpected disconnects. Each player has their own drops, their own guns, their own scrolls, but they can be exchanged with each other. Typically, similar games, like Deep Rock, have a chill zone where players can rest between …

Can't believe I haven't left a review for this game, but it's absolutely incredible Great char designs of all sorts, from cool to cute Wide variety of weapons/playstyles Incredibly addicting gameplay loop Each character presents a different way to approach the game and there's a little something for everyone If you wanna experiment with weapons and elements, play the cat If you want to strategize with scrolls, try …

Incredibly solid roguelite looter-shooter. Fans of Borderlands should definitely give it a shot. Seasonal content is great, zero weird monetization or FOMO mechanics. All around fantastic game with devs who deserve high praise. Only issue I have is that their English localization is sometimes not great, so it can be difficult to tell what certain mechanics do from reading the tooltips, but that doesn't detract from …

This game is pretty damn addicting. The bosses are all super unique and fluid making for a pretty awesome experience. I really love the different class options and ways to play also I like men.

neutral · AI labelView post →Gunplay is fun and satisfying, hell just look at my playtime. Unfortunately: - Build variety kind of sucks. Pretty much every character has the exact same 3 builds (weapon, secondary skill, primary skill) with the only differences being what weapon type your character wants to use. After a while it gets VERY stale. Seasonal mechanics are basically identical to each other in terms of buffs and mechanics so the game has next to nothing to shake up the gameplay. - In-game text is very obviously…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clips from what I'm playing 🦉🏹 Gunfire Reborn, the looter shooter distilled. ## The condensed looter shooter experience Gunfire Reborn is a looter shooter with an Asian aesthetic and a short, but extremely replayable campaign, which runs for less than an hour. It supports four-player online co-op, but this time, I was running solo. In short, it's the full Borderlands experience without the questionable writing and Randy Pitchford. You travel across multiple lands to purge the corruption (an…

I was all too happy to draw her getting tickled! All of the furry characters in that game really deserve tickles, to be fair. #ticklesky #furryart
positive · AI labelView post →Can no longer support this game with the use of AI art. Makes absolutely no sense considering they have artists on deck to draw comics/emotes (Unless they fired them to cut costs...). Really makes me question the direction of this addicting game. How unfortunate that they now have everything on sale at an all time low too huh. Btw they don't even mention it on their Steam Page
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gunfire Reborn is one of the best fps roguelites ive ever played. Hundreds of hours of content and builds. My only complaint is the updates. They basically just throw pocket lint at you once every 3 months, making you pay for dlc every 6. In my opinion the newer characters are just dont match up to orginal default characters that come with the game. In terms of the meta progression, you can max everything as soon as a new update drops so the only real new things you can do when an update hits…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gunfire Reborn is a 1-4 player Co-op FPS roguelite. In the same vein as Roboquest, Abyssus, & Deadzone Rogue. You could argue that the gunplay in Gunfire Reborn isn’t quite as good as the three competitors I just mentioned, and I’d agree with that, but the game makes up for it by having a MUCH larger (and for the most part, more interesting) pool of both playable characters, weapon types, & bosses/mini-bosses. Each individual character has 2 skills and 1 ultimate ability, which drastically…

neutral · AI labelView post →One thing that jumped at me straight up, is how you can make a game with seasonal mechanics but at the same time avoid FOMO - just keep all seasons in the game and let players switch between them any time they want. It's a rare sight nowadays. Or how you can boast regular updates and new content 5 years after the release, while not relaying on spamming incessant DLCs. And speaking of DLCs, they are few and far in between, considering the game's age. At first having some characters locked…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game itself is excellent — pure fun and mechanical expressiveness. However, the lack of a clear roadmap makes it hard to decide whether it’s worth buying or not. Everything that comes out lately is just DLCs selling characters. Right now, the game only has 4 stages, 6 unlockable characters (4 through leveling and 2 through mastery points, with one of them being absurdly useless), and 8 paid characters — all of which are incredibly strong. A huge number of weapons are also locked behind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game 5 years ago in EA, Gunfire Reborn, and had like 10 hours in it, on the hunt for new Roguelikes, me and pan started playing it, its REALLY good
positive · AI labelView post →Fun roguelike co-op first person pew pew that has new stuff (free and paid) constantly added to it. Some of the DLC characters are overkill and make the game easier on any difficulty, but still, fun times. Variety of weapons and enemies are great though I wish they added new areas.

Tune in on Sunday, September 28 at 6 pm EST as I am joined by my amazing friend Unlucky13/Mitch to introduce all y'all to the wonderful world of Gunfire Reborn! What kind of game is Gunfire Reborn? Think Borderlands for furries! See ya then!!!
neutral · AI labelView post →Been playing Windblown, quite liking this game. Still in Early Access but THE BONES ARE GOOD. The multiplayer actually feels REALLY good. Plus I get to be a cool little bat guy and that's rad. (Kinda want Gunfire Reborn to add a bat character.)
positive · AI labelView post →Devs love their generative ai. Game was cool and fun. Can't recommend supporting the ai slop though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, Gunfire reborn is a very satisfying and addicting roguelite. The progression is nice and seasonal updates change the game frequently. The gunplay is fun and most characters feel balanced. I would recommend getting this game in a bundle with all DLC when its on sale. Most characters are locked behind paid DLC and the game feels pretty lackluster without them. As many reviews already say, the English translation is rough. Not terrible, but it is difficult to understand exactly what…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game´s surprinsingly good, super fun alone or with friends - So this is what I have been able to see: -You quickly get introduced to the context of the game and it let´s you go from there. Your main objective on the game will be to complete a set of dungeons with bosses at the end of them to unlock the next dungeon. If you fail (which you will at the beginning) do not worry, It´s literally part of the process to then level up, upgrade your character and unlock new weapons, each character…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Risk of Rain 2 and Borderlands had a child but the child turned out to be a furry artist. Actually really fun and addicting gameplay. Smooth and satisfying reload animations, and flashy combat. Though, movement can feel stiff as your character isn't very fast, and dashing doesn't take you very far either. Nevertheless, if you have an FPS itch and like roguelikes, you might enjoy this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad but we been playing the same maps and bosses for 15 years now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun, but challenging rougelite game with a steep learning curve and lots of characters with various playstyles. There are many weapons, scrolls and buffs to experiment with, so every run feels different. Highly recommended if you're into this genre. It's even better with friends! 💜
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a bit too slow at the beginning, but gets better with time. also, the first few difficulties are way too boring tbh overall its an awsm rougelike if u dont fall asleep in the first few runs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy the game, I think the last boss is unbalanced. Can't do ♥♥♥♥ about that thing. It feels like I'm a small child being rag-dolled by a strong-man, getting swung around in circles by my feet until they get tired and split me in half by my legs while I watch. Everything before that's fun though.

neutral · AI labelView post →First couple days were alright. -The core loop is very repetitive. This feels like it needs something more than what it has to give, like additional map options to mix things up, but I don't want to downvote it cause I see promise, and it's kind of fun. -Most guns are viable to a point, but every run kind of feels like the same run, and that bothers me. -Most of the characters are locked behind paid DLC and that also bothers me. -Haven't tried MP yet... soon I guess. I'm still deciding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the few games I write a review on. This is easily in my top 10 games ever. Its colorful, simple, and too the point. The art style is charming, the characters are all cute, the guns are all fun to use. I hope this game keeps getting updated for a long time.

neutral · AI labelView post →What a unique gem. It’s like Hades and Borderlands had a child with an Oriental mythological aesthetic and anthropomorphic characters. At first, it felt unfair. I was dying out of nowhere and feeling like I wasted a 30 minutes run. But after clearing Elite several times, I can say it's a masterpiece. The gunplay is top, each character's abilities feel good, and once you nail a good build, you feel ridiculously powerful. Like any Roguelike, the key is not giving up. This game buffs your aim like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BORDERLANDS with the gameplay that we wanted. OVERWATCH with the PVE mode for which everyone waited. HADES and RISK OF RAIN 2 in first person. I've poured 35 hours into this game and love every moment with it. There are a ton of characters, and each one plays very unique from the rest. There are no repeats here, the levels are fun and varied enough to create a challenge in each run, and the weapons range from powerful to quirky with enough bullets to punch through just about any challenge.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I immediately became obsessed with this game. The artsyle and gameplay loop checks so many boxes for me, personally. The weapons are all very fun or satisfying to use, and the characters all feel pretty different and powerful in their own ways. Not one run has felt the same as another. This game very much scratches an itch I didn’t know I had. Super fun, super replayable. Very much recommend.

There are a few indie games that run great and you wouldn't even have known they used Unity until you looked for it. The Hollow Knight games and Ori games are well-known examples that even manage to run on the 2014-era pile of underpowered crap that is the Nintendo Switch. Even some 3D games like Gunfire Reborn or Risk of Rain 2 (before Gearbox took over) run well on older hardware. Shitty devs with better engines can still…
neutral · AI labelView post →It's fun but the game is so imbalanced. I shouldn't have to be mindfully restricting myself in every single aspect of gameplay (Gun choice, character choice, season choice) just to play the game on a normal level. The DLC is vastly overpowered, and some season effects play the game for you. Maybe good for very casual gamers.
