What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 290 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (4,114 of 5,109 positive).
Players praise the cozy atmosphere and satisfying cleaning mechanics. [1][2][3] Many reviewers find the game too short for its price. [4][5][6] Some players report bugs and missing features like a sandbox mode. [7][8][9]

I want to recommend this game so bad, but its only 9 levels and it isn't worth the cost they are asking for. A lot of items in some levels don't feel like they have places to put them, many cabinet and drawer style items don't open for item placement. Some of the controls feel a little clunky like trying to clean windows or floors. Painting feels a bit tiresome since the paint roller is quite small and you cannot …

I love this game, and I also hate this game. The frustration is now killing all the joy of playing Hozy, so much that I dont want to finish the other rooms before the bug is fixed. Every single time I close the game and open in again – 60-80% of the all previous decorations I've made are gone. Same happens to my friends too, we are not able to compare the previous designs because of this. Fix it, and I'll change my …

This year i have played 11 games like this (yes 11… i know, addiction lol), and literally after just 20 minutes in this game, i was like… “yeah, this is the best one i have played in ages!!” this game is not just cozy… It is next level cozy! calm, soft, and super relaxing. it is really the kind of game where your brain just goes quiet for a bit. The BEST part (for me at least)… opening the windows and seeing leaves, …

Finished in 3 hours. Technologically speaking, this game is ahead in terms of the satisfying cleaning content. I do however feel that the game is a touch short for the price. I wish there was a "free mode" after beating it, where players can take all the assets and decorate the existing rooms. Regardless, great use of Lumen and shader work.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute & cozy game! However, I would not recommend it for where it's at currently (as of May 2026). I think it needs some polishing for it's price point. It would be a good game on sale for ~$7. Pros: - Absolutely stunning graphics & details! - Loved the "picking up trash" function with one click & drag of the mouse - Furniture decorating is super fun Cons: - Not enough content. I AFK'd for a good chunk of time, but I finished this game in about 4-5 hours max. I was expecting there to be more…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a cute game! The graphics are gorgeous, the mechanics are interesting, has a light storyline and a handful of levels. You may be wondering why I am not recommending the game by now. While the mentioned items above are fantastic, the price and AMOUNT of gameplay are not, The game has a welcome discount right now, and knowing that I would only get about 2.5 hours of gameplay I cannot recommend it at its current pricing. Even on a slight sale. It does not have much replayability, and given…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had such high hopes for this game as I had it on my wish list for ages, it has so much potential but it's just entirely too short, especially for the price, majority of the builds are just the same random furniture repeating and nothing matches or goes together, for example in what world would a pharmacy themed cafe have a surf board and car license plates on the wall.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To immediately get to the point: an uncomfortable, unsatisfying experience overall Initially I was super excited about this game – before even the whole AI topic came up – and only just now got around to play it. The use of AI sucks and is honestly kinda ironic, considering the game encourages you to slow down and enjoy the process. But think of it what you want. Sadly, the process is very tedious in this game, I haven’t experienced controls this uncomfortable in a long time. It might just be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't recommend this game at full price. I beat the game at the 4 hour mark. The entire game. Is there any replay potential? Eh, depends on who you are. I would say... if my steam library ever disappeared and this was the only game, I MIGHT play it again or I'd go pick up a book honestly. Wait for a good sale ($5) and I'd recommend it. Full price? absolutely not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you played the demo, you don't need to buy the game. It was really a big let down :/ All the remaining... 5 levels you get (lol) are with the exact same furniture, same things to do, other than 'drying the wall' in the last level and 'tiling the wall' too... just.. not what I was expecting from the demo, thought there would end up being more to come or more interesting levels. Even in the 'magic' level.. all the furniture was reused from previous levels. And that goes for every. single.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun to clean and decorate, but the game has so little content it almost feels like it was done intentionally. You burn through most levels pretty fast and there are very few of them. There's also a level that's supposed to be a trippy, dreamy room where you can place furnitures on the walls and it was just awful. It took you out of the feel from the general game and you just wanted to get it over with. The game itself is decent but the content is lackluster. As much as I wanna give…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the gameplay is lovely, calming and super cosy and the art style, direction and attention to detail is utterly charming, I simply can't recommend this based on the price for the amount of gameplay you get. 5 hours to 100% complete it, taking my time with each level and placing objects to create lived-in cosy rooms across 9 levels just doesn't feel like good value for money and that's really disappointing. I hope they add more to this, and if more levels appear this would likely change to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For someone who often feels overwhelemed in free-style decorating games, Hozy does a lot of things right for me. I love that I can finally play a clean up and restoration game that isn't first person FOV. It starts off with simple enough tasks like cleaning the floors and wiping windows but as the game progresses, other tasks are incorporated such as raking leaves, installing floor boards, sawing wood. This may sound silly but I like the level of realism with some of the tools. When you paint…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My only complaint is that this game is criminally short. I got emotionally attached to my little hozy routine and then the game basically said “alright pack it up.” I was NOT ready to leave.

neutral · AI labelView post →Hozy is a tiny game where you have to renovate and decorate many rooms. The designs are great and the soundtrack is chill but a bit repetitive. The controls and rotations are not so good. There's only 9 levels, it's kinda expensive even in sale for the time spended in the game, it tooks me about 2h to finish it. They also add a sandbox update but still not enought to get satisfied. The game doesn't add something new or different from others games. It just miss something to be really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →eh. More of a cleaning and furniture placement game. The design choices you can make are few, and the options you get are mostly mismatched and not satisfying. As if, they had a plan for what they wanted in each room and you can decide not to include things. I do like the visuals but it definitely feels like they spent most of their money on the visuals than any design aspect.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could give this game a fully good review. The fact of the matter is the control system feels janky and really made my carpal tunnel act up. Having to click an item floating out of a box five million times before it actually selects SUCKS. There are also just not enough levels to justify the price tag. It's a shame because it's really pretty and I did enjoy it enough to finish it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun and made good. But it is too simple. There are only 9 rooms and some of them have 2 different renovations. But that's it. If I knew it were only 9 rooms, I don't think I would have spend 15 euro's on it. Maybe 5 euro's, but not 15. You cannot make rooms how you want. Different furniture. You have to make the rooms with the stuff you get. Even if you don't like it at all. With paint you get only 3 options and tiles, flooring and wallpaper is no choice.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is technically impressive and really satisfatory to do the cleaning part. However, I feel like the decorations don't match at all the scenery, which is really frustating. Sometimes it feels like just random items that weren't meant to be together. Also, almost all the time I try to paint or clean near a border my tool gets stuck and doesn't paint/clean properly. Then I need to go reallyyy slow to get the border areas, which is also frustating.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reading the rest of the reviews, it really feels like people were just expecting too much from this game. Maybe I'm just naive but "$15 for a 5+ hour experience" feels totally fair? Like I know Steam is a place where we're used to getting 200+ hour AAA experiences for $5 during sales, but I think it's unfair to expect every indie dev to just give away their work for dirt cheap. Also some of these reviews are braindead: "why would a surfboard be in a coffee shop!?" Use some damn imagination.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game in a certain way, and I truly wanted to recommend it, but there are way too many flaws in it for me to justify that... It feels like an early access game, but it wasn't labeled as such as far as I can tell. Pros: - Creative and diverse level designs - Looks amazing on ultra settings (especially the lighting) - Great physics - Attention to details (small interactions, easter eggs, etc.) - Fun for someone enjoying decoration and cleaning games Cons: - Pretty short, finished…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I struggled on how to rate this one. I think this game is going to polarize opinion somewhat, because there's going to be a lot of people wanting it to be something very specific and it's not going to deliver. In the end I'm going with thumbs up because I can see so much work has gone into this, and it really does have some neat features. Overall I enjoyed my time in the game and I'd buy a game from the same devs in future. Positives: * The items are about 95%? unique. There's some repeat of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see what people mean when they say the average completion time isn't equal to the cost. $15 is a sizeable amount of money for some people, including me, and it didn't even entertain me for five hours. I'm very disappointed because I had this game wishlisted for at least a month and played the demo over and over again. When I started the full game, I breezed through the first two levels but when I got to the music hall, I noticed they removed about half the furniture that was in the demo. It…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was disappointing to play <3 hours of gameplay for $17.99 CAD to be honest. I think this is a cute little game but should be under $10 at most for what it is.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like Hozy because this game has SO much potential. Visually, they did such a cute job, however, I couldn’t really get that “cozy vibe” because of the gameplay. The controls are frustrating, especially when trying to grab items from the boxes. Sometimes you have to click multiple times just to pick something up. This should be such a simple task in a cozy decorating game. The camera is also difficult to control and makes placing items harder than it needs to be. And THE…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the concept hate the execution. Beautiful visuals, but when it’s meant to be relaxing, I found myself struggling to finish it, by the time I reached the 3rd level, I'd given up and requested a refund. Wish it was more creatively freeing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd recommend buying ONLY if it's on special...at a more significant discount than the intro offer. There's only 9 levels and no free play option, which I was hoping there would be so you can create your own rooms. Instead you must play through the set level designs that also have set furniture items which drastically reduces customisation or creativity. Honestly, I felt there weren't enough furniture items for most of the levels, with more than half feeling rather empty when using all the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Updating my review after the latest updates! Honestly this game is fantastic, the graphics are gorgeous and the music is charming, so it's a solid 5 stars from me overall. The few issues I originally had were mostly about the décor. The apartments sometimes felt a little bare, like they were missing the furniture or personal touches that really make a space feel lived-in. But after playing through both versions of every apartment, my main complaint now is lag. I get that the devs meant well by…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hozy is a very cozy, very beautiful, and very breezy new game about cleaning and decorating that's likely to charm anyone into games like it
neutral · AI labelView post →The game is very nice and well developed, so why a negative review? There are simply too few rooms to decorate for the price asked — I basically finished everything there was to do in just over 3 hours. When more content or a sandbox mode is added, I’ll change my review to positive. Until then, I can’t recommend buying it. ------------------------------------- ITALIANO Il gioco è curato e ben sviluppato, ma non giustifica il prezzo attuale. I contenuti sono troppo limitati: ho completato…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only complaint I have; it's too short! I need mooooore! I completed it in a day because I thoroughly enjoyed losing myself in it. It's so very, very, satisfying. Scratches many itches; cleaning, decorating, organising, with a delightfully relaxing soundtrack. Certainly has ample room for re-playability value too. I disagree with the price point being too high for 9 levels, mainly because I tend to measure value by my enjoyment of a game, along with the aforementioned re-playability. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm usually fairly forgiving of games. This has a great concept, cute art and music. However, the controls are infuriating to anyone who is used to decorating games. Zoom is the same as rotate, meaning you can't zoom while you hold something. I'd even look over that too, if it wasn't for how buggy the game is. I'm on the second level and have had to redo it twice now. The first time because a floor board fell over the map and never returned to the box (so I couldn't complete the objective). The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly for the price they are asking and even with the sale, this game is not worth it's value. I played the demo and it instantly hooked me and I was extremely excited to play the game and now I played and it was lot harder to plan and create a space with the set of items they gave you. Not only was it harder to create the space, they removed key pieces that were in the demo in the full game. Like in the dark music hall, having the desk and the keyboard but no pc and monitor that were in the…

negative · AI labelView post →I've been waiting for this game since October, and now it's finally here!!! I fell in love with its mechanics, the cozy atmosphere, and the ASMR from the very first time I played the demo. I'm so happy I finally get to experience the full game!!! Highly recommend if you enjoy cozy games ✨
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've seen an uptick in people talking about the upcoming game Hozy: Just a reminder (or in case you didn't know) that they used genAI assets as placeholders in their demo, and did not originally disclose it on Steam until it was called out.
neutral · AI labelView post →I genuinely enjoyed this game, but there is undisclosed generative AI usage. The character portraits seem to be AI generated and the devs have provided no substantial evidence against it when questioned. The game also has a history of using generative AI without disclosing it in beta.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game after watching 10 minutes of Gab Smolders' playthrough, I just had to experience this adorable game for myself! I highly recommend this game, it's a brilliant mix of cleaning, organising and interior design. The only thing I would say would make this game slightly better would be having the freedom to choose custom colours for walls, floors and items, I don't mind being limited to just three paint colours but I think having the choice of a colour wheel would give some more…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game itself is absolutely gorgeous. The way the lights interact with each other and the world and the way that you set things down (pillows, etc.) is so satisfying and takes a lot of skill to create in a game. Even putting the planks down had the most satisfying effect. The issue is the game is quite short and furniture NEVER matches, meaning that if you want to create a living room area, all of the couches will not match whatsoever, which was a weird choice. It feels more like an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the graphics and I love the gameplay but... I can't recommend this game for the price. It is waaaayyyyyyy too short. The replayability isn't really there either. The demo is literally one third of the entire game....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright. Hozy is done and dusted. This is a cozy game centered around renovating buildings and then decorating them via a suite of items selected for each specific location. After completing the game, the decorating aspect opens up more, allowing you to curate your own selection of items rather than the pre-selected ones, giving you even more options to revisit this cozy activity with your own flair and style. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3740107971 For me, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to love Hozy, but it feels completely unfinished right now. My biggest issue is the severe lack of content bc there are hardly any levels to play through (only just 9), so the game is over before it even really begins. The level design itself is also frustrating. You are given these massive rooms with way too much empty floor space, but the game doesn't give you nearly enough items to actually fill them. Specifically, the "huge things" box is severely lacking. Without enough…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game felt very chill. I picked it up after watching someone play it on a Stream cause it looked cozy and it 100% was that -- but it wasn't my favorite, although I know a lot of my cozy game loving friends would probably enjoy it. What I Enjoyed: The gameplay feels satisfying and peaceful. Cleaning up dusty/dirty spaces, repainting the walls, and placing the furniture creates a calm flow that feels perfect for unwinding. The atmosphere is lovely -- the cozy details like the floating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4 hours of gameplay for that price? With a bunch of random furniture that doesn't match and sometimes doesn't even fit in the room? Such a waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but after the 3rd level I found myself pushing towards completion, but not in a good way. First I want to say I adored the graphics and eccentric style to the furniture and deco; I am a long time simulation-lover and as such, play many building games With this game however, I found myself annoyed with the controls and the imbalance between the room and selection of items. Sometimes I felt I didn't have enough, or had items I had no clue where to place.. other…

neutral · AI labelView post →I agree with all the reviews mentioning that there isn't enough game play for the price. Extremely disappointed with how fast it was over. Even if they kept the same furniture, at least to have more levels? All the games I've bought from this creator have been quick completion games, except tiny glades which was just boring and limiting. Moving forward I just wouldn't purchase games from these developers again. Seems they really just want fast cash grabs for a 1/2 finished game. I really did…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hozy is a very cozy, beautiful game where you bring to life an old neighborhood bit by bit. Hozy is a beautiful, interactive game no doubt about that. The plop of a pillow or the leaves blowing in through the window when you open it is just charming. However this game does have some short-comings, its biggest one being the lack of a sandbox or creative mode where you can design your own space. There are nine total places to clean up and re-decorate and even at a leisurely pace it took me…

positive · AI labelView post →Hozy is Cozy... but Over Too Soon Hozy has a lot going for it. The animations are charming, the sound design is warm and inviting and the overall feel of the gameplay is genuinely pleasant. For the short time it lasts, it is cozy. But, that's also part of the problem. It's very short for the price. On top of that, as others have mentioned, the items you unlock for each space don't always fit together thematically. It works for the artist's home, but it feels out of place for spaces like the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The atmosphere, music, and particle effects are all so beautiful and relaxing. I was really excited for this game to come out but felt largely disappointed. I would not recommend this game based on a few things: First, the demo levels had more furniture and trinkets to place than the same base game levels did. I don't understand at all the logic of removing items and making the levels even shorter for the full release. That really bothered me. Second, as other reviews pointed out, the game…
