Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 192 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (660 of 951 positive).
Some reviewers report bugs, poor deck balance, and frustrating difficulty. [1][2][3][4]

I really enjoyed the first game a lot so when I heard this was coming out I was excited. I was pretty bummed when this game turned out to be kind of a downgrade. The style of the first one was tight and unique, whereas while the backgrounds here are certainly nice, whatever style it once had is completely gone and all the characters are just kinda ugly. At the very least i'm not thinking "Wow these guys are cool." I …

This game would be great if it functioned properly. Deckbuilding: Build expression is almost non-existent. A few cards imply a build such as bleed or poison. However, there aren't enough cards with that keyword to make it work in a normal game. You can't even be sure you'll be offered a card that you can play because it's for a different class so the chances of creating a deck that's functional at all is dubious. …

✅ Roguelike card game (similar to Slay the Spire/Monster Train) but with a grid-based turn-based battle system ✅ Game has 3 main archetypes (melee, weapon & spell) that provides different playstyles ✅ Drop in and drop out anytime. Progress is saved after every move, so you can quit the game anytime and continue back at the same place ✅ Game has several difficulty options to choose from that is very useful which can …

I have a difficult time recommending this game. It's a good game! There's fun to be had! People go out windows! It has significant flaws though. First and foremost, the addition of NPC companions really muddles the deliciously tight design of Fights In Tight Spaces. All allies work from your single hand of cards, so you will seldom be able to really make use of two or more characters. More often, you'll have one …

Much better than the previous FITS, it's very enjoyable and a very decent deckbuilder, so I'll list the few things I dislike that prevent it from reaching Classic status: - Lots of useless cards. It's not that they might be situational or not. 95% of the rewards the best option you can choose is skip. Yes, deckbuilders need a tight deck, but about 75% of the cards are deadweight. I exclusively play with about 3 …

63% of the 192 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Knights in Tight Spaces. The complaint that keeps coming up: too many useless or junk cards. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

neutral · AI labelView post →I have over 100 hours in Fights in Tight Spaces, but I can't find a single moment of enjoyment in this game. Visually it's a... sidegrade? A little more detail for a little less style. The actual gameplay itself is essentially the same, but there are way more junk cards that aren't interesting or strong; adding party members (and having the game balanced around them) makes positioning far more stressful, and the equipment is largely dull and unexciting. Fights was good because it had very…

neutral · AI labelView post →When I first played this game, and maybe for the first 7-8 hours, I could not understand the mixed review. It felt unique, fun, and looks great too. However, as time passed and the game got more difficult, I started to see WHY is was difficult - and it isn't anything to do with the gameplay. The lack of UI and tooltips for anything in this game is absolutely brutal, sometimes it feels like you take the exact same action in the same circumstances twice, but receive 2 separate results. With no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Totally done with this ♥♥♥♥. I've played this game for hours and hours and hours and I have exactly 3 wins. 3 in 500+ hours. And it isn't a skill issue, I'll explain in a moment. The fact that we still don't have a deck draft that keeps cards that you cannot use on a character from the options is beyond stupid. How hard is that to program? Like a line or two of code to keep unplayable cards from the deck. Or at least a 'restart draft' button at the end so I don't have to click through…

neutral · AI labelView post →I've really been trying to like this game, and was actually succeeding for the most part. HOWEVER the number of bugs, quality of life sins, and gameplay oversights has kind of ruined it for me. For reference, I've played the first game a fair bit, and have spent an ungodly amount of time in deckbuilders. The first game was a very cool concept that was pretty well executed and the novelty kept me engaged a good while, but didn't quite have enough personality to reeeally dig the hooks in. Some…

neutral · AI labelView post →This is not a tactics game - it is a draft-deck grind simulator. The whole run depends less on decision-making and more on whether the game feeds you broken cards. If the draft high-rolls, you steamroll. If not, you spend turns staring at a hand full of movement options and no real play. Too much deck grind, too little actual tactics.

neutral · AI labelView post →Significantly weaker than Fights in Tight Spaces. Deck building games *strongly* push you to have thin decks. Having classes and multiple characters seems like a neat direction to take the concept from FiTS. But between limited hand size, deck cycle time, and the fact that the hand-to-hand/melee/bow/magic actions are limited in who can use them? The game's systems are fighting itself. It feels like my biggest enemy is trying to engage with the game's features. Unless I was allowed to create…

neutral · AI labelView post →Heartbreaking game, I was super hyped for this but there's just too much going against it for me to enjoy. The visuals are nice but the mechanics are annoying, the best visual mechanic is the hand to hand abilities which look cool, but, you can only use them on a weaponless character and there isn't enough of them and they are not prevalent enough to actually round out a build. The environmental kills are cool, but, you have very few abilities that can utilise it, most of the time it will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like FITS 0.5 - one step sideways, two backwards. Positives: - I like this color scheme more - Music is great - New enemies Negatives: - 90% of cards are the same from fits - The ui looks less polished and the text is too small on the steam deck. I really don't get is, the ui on fits was perfect for the deck, it was actually made worse Multiple bugs, like 'throat punch' just plain not working on an enemy without block, which kills your run immidiately. Very frustrating. Overall…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, I've had this experience, too. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II communicated ahead of launch that the GOG release would come only a few months later (I did get the sense this was a publisher decision). Great! I can wait a few months. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made no such mention, and despite waiting several months to see how it would shake out, I bought it in the summer, and the GOG version came out right after I finished it. The developer behind Knights in Tight Spaces, when asked…
neutral · AI labelView post →It's a flop. It's my fault to be disappointed, I've enjoyed FITS so much and this promised to be a big improvement, but it's not. I'll take another FITS DLC over this any day. The music Just as good as in Fights in Tight Spaces, if not better. If nothing else, I will for sure buy the soundtrack, and if you like atmospheric electronics, I do very much recommend you do the same, The party Controlling multiple characters just means that analysis paralysis takes is even stronger. There's a lot of…

neutral · AI labelView post →Got this in a bundle, otherwise I would refund. Loved the first one despite its quirks, and looked forward to how they would polish the formula, yet somehow they managed to make a game that is worse in almost every way imaginable. I cannot imagine why I would ever play this over FiTS - UI and UX seems amaturish to be frank. Same icon on enemies for "has target" and "turn order"??? no keyword highlight or info on cards, so I don't even know what I'm choosing??? No mouse-over info on anything???…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've enjoyed this game, however: Pros: - I like the different classes and unique abilities for each. - The graphics and animations look good. - I like the challenge and variety of enemies. Cons: - Game for forces you to use the same characters because of abilities unique to certain classes. Since you can have 3 characters that share the same deck, sometimes you get a bet hand and each character can't do much of anything. - The story takes a long time to go through from prologue and through…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed the first game and was looking forward to this one as a big fantasy nerd, but it's kind of a let down. The biggest problems are clarity and camera. The game lacks any sort of tooltip for attached abilities or keywords. On top of that, there is almost no wiki for this game, even over a year after its release. Got a piece of gear that changes your support attack? Good luck figuring out what it does. As for the camera, there's an "enhanced" mode that I swear mentioned panning in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The biggest issue with this game is the implementation of managing a team. If the developers wanted to do a tactics game, they should have went fully in that direction and if they wanted to stick to a deckbuilder they should have committed 100% to that kind of game. Instead they ended up with a mishmash of genres that simply don’t work as well as their last game, Fights in Tight Spaces.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tries to do too much and loses focus. The basics of the game are good, but so many details are confusing and inconsistent. Icons and symbols that aren't properly explained. Sometimes a rule is explicitly stated, sometimes it isn't, but it is still applied. Enemy AI seems random. tried to like it but feels like a bit of a mess
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →COMPLETE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I can't believe this game came AFTER Fights in tight spaces. I have more than 300 hours on that game but this one makes me want to watch paint dry instead of playing one more minute. Everything good about Fights in tight spaces. The simplicity, the fast pace. All was thrown into the trash. The areas are pointlessly bigger (what happened to the TIGHT spaces?) and enemies tend to be ranged, annoying you from a distance and constantly getting away from you, forcing you to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was/am a big fan of Fights in Tight Spaces, but I find this game more frustrating than fun. The additional objectives that earn you gold and other rewards have an even greater emphasis on Pushing, Shoving and Grappling enemies than in the first game, but most of those cards are extremely restricted in who can use them. Additionally, enemies are actively running away from you AND from the out-of-bounds borders. Most of the time, the fight itself and the enemies are not a challenge at all, but…

If they continually produce something that doesn't sell, they won't have a job anymore. And I'll raise you another part of this equation. neutral · AI labelView post →A very strong next iteration on Tight Spaces concept. The idea of recruiting characters as you go along feels like a natural next step and implemented great. However, starting each run with one character, a handful of cards, and tons of enemies feels really daunting after a dozen rounds. Not to mention, working up the same set of rooms, same bosses, choosing same rewards just to have an rng pick of a character you have in mind, which you most likely won't get, doesn't help. With great party,…

The fighting makes you think and will punish you for mistakes, and that's why it is so satisfying when you fight that good figth -- nothing like a good combo or kicking an enemy off a tower. If you like games like Slay the Spire, give the demo a try and see if this card battle game is for you too! KITS is it's own game for sure and I'm still figuring it out. For now, I love the medieval/fantasy vibe, I think the graphics/animations…

The entire party sharing one deck and the same resources means you either build a party of mostly the same characters or you just get a lot of those moments where you either draw all lands or no lands in MTG. The soundtrack and visuals also lack the sauce FiTS had

neutral · AI labelView post →Soft recommendation. Buy on sale and with low expectations. C+ Given how terrific the core "Tight Spaces" mechanics are, this is a game I DESPERATELY wanted to love - a game that should work, or work better than it does. Unfortunately, for all the energy spent evolving "FITS" into a stylish fantasy-themed party adventure, the gameplay here simply doesn't feel thought-out. On a granular, small scale, it's a lot of fun: any given skirmish between your character and a room full of bad guys can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had to think about this one, in all honestly I'm on the fence. But in the end, it just felt like a Fights in Tight Spaces...but not as good. I didn't finish it, 14 hours and I lost interest. I think some folks might like it more than I, I do like the multiple characters. Some of the bosses are fun. But it just doesn't have the same pizzazz that FiTS had.

The player controls a party of adventurers who must protect the kingdom from knights, bandits, mages, ghosts, skeletons, and demons. Gameplay will be familiar to players of the previous game, Fights in Tight Spaces. Combat is turn based, and takes place in small maps such as taverns, bridges, and castles, which have been divided up into a square grid. Each turn, the player will randomly draw a few cards,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steam deck: The game plays great on the steam deck, for those users that are wanting to pick this up. As for the game, I did not enjoy it as much. I like the premise of the medival setting, but the gameplay itself was lacking for me. It felt like a step back from their previous game (fights in tight spaces). My only gripe is how useless the class cards are because they are all combined into one deck. I would have liked it better if each class had separate decks instead of one diluted deck.
