I cannot recommend this game, now or ever. It has so many bugs where you'll do something, nothing happens, and then you look at the video guides for the solution. Unfortunately the solution will probably be what you just did, only yours didn't work because a cutscene didn't play like it should have. I had to restart the game multiple times simply because a solution wasn't being accepted. This happened on the "Rock" …

Ok....I absolutely LOVED this!!! As a researcher in a museum, you've been sent a bunch of broken alien junk, your job is to figure out what it is, and what it does....the best part? You get NO HELP, and have to figure it all from absolute scratch! The items are all connected, and part of a large mystery, but that's something you'll have to figure out as well! You have several handy tools to help in your …

Machinika: Museum is a really cool little puzzle game with a great atmosphere. You basically examine and solve alien machines piece by piece, and it has that satisfying “figuring it out yourself” feeling when everything clicks. The visuals and design are really well done, and the whole game has a calm, mysterious vibe that makes you want to keep going. I honestly barely struggled with the puzzles — and even when I …

Short but sweet. The designs are nice and the game is interesting. Not much of a story, outside of the ending where it all nicely comes together . I really enjoyed the visuals of the game, and how it represented some of the technology. I did have issue with some of the tediousness of the puzzles though. I find that some of them weren't really intuitive at all. Some other things it felt like I should be able to just …

If you're looking for a smart and immersive puzzle experience, Machinika Museum is definitely worth your time. The game offers a calm yet engaging atmosphere where you explore mysterious futuristic devices inside a museum, carefully uncovering how each mechanism works piece by piece. One of the strongest aspects of the game is its satisfying, hands-on puzzle design. You’re not simply given answers — you experiment, …

Click, rotate, frown, click, blink, delight, frown, click, solved. Made my smooth brain grow a wrinkle. I am a genius now. Can use one hand to play and your other hand can help with other things... like eating Doritos. Do you want to sit around casually while your significant other spends time with her boyfriend and you click on the screen for a while? Sh*t,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar attempt at tactile feel puzzles like "Doors: Paradox." It requires you to click onto certain areas of the game's "devices" you are trying to solve in order to zoom in and perform tasks, move objects, or do puzzles. However the responsiveness is annoyingly inconsistent to the point of impeding progress. Click on an area you think is a workable area and nothing will happen. Then when you run out of options you click on that same area again and magically it's a puzzle area! It is so bad…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just like the Da Vinci series of games, except this one lacks fun, imagination, easy of play, and relevant "puzzles"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Are you the kind that has the basic question "Hmm, i wonder what this button does..." and presses it? This could be your game! A basic knowledge of mechacnis and physics is not wrong for attempting to beat this game, but mine were also in "a previous life" and the game was solvable, so... seems it is not compulsory! It is a nice little short game, where the player has to explore the function of certain alien objects. The story is (although it is rather on the background) well thought through.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →graphics are ok-ish and sometimes even ugly and the "story" is delivered as text only. the puzzles are simple & easy to solve and while they are connected by the story (if you want to call it even that) they are isolated when it comes to gameplay. it really does feel like a mobile game but at least it's reasonably piced and i didn't encounter any serious problems while playing. however even what little "story" there is goes nowhere since it points at the next game but 5 years later there's no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Within the second chapter I encountered two separate bugs that meant restarting the chapter. Really, really poorly done mobile port.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like, technically fine? But there's just nothing about it that quite rises to be good. It's short, not much story, puzzles are easy and repetitive. Nothing's egregiously broken or anything, it just... isn't a great way to spend 2-3 hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Machinika Museum and its sequel Machinika: Atlas are this kind of game! Not quite the level of polish as The Room, but absolutely scratches the same itch. Love this niche.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice little romp through some puzzles with a good story to it. If you like The Room series, this is a good little inspiration from it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is really kind of a gem considering it's so cheap it's nearly free. Similar to the puzzle games "Boxes" and "Doors", you play as a museum curator who gets strange artifacts that eventually lead to the assembly of an intergalactic alien ship. The game is fundamentally simpler than a game like "Myst," but there are several tricky segments that require a bit of thought. The thing is that because the environment is so small you are more limited in the things you can look at and interact with,…

neutral · AI labelView post →Verdict 👎 Not Recommended I tried Machinika Museum (2021) for about 10 minutes and I already knew it’s not for me. I just wasn’t having fun, and nothing about it hooked me enough to keep going. That said, I can absolutely see the audience for it — the kind of puzzle nerds who love slow, mechanical, “inspect every detail” games. If you’re into that, you’ll probably enjoy it way more than I did. My history with the game Started it out of curiosity Played around 10 minutes Got bored…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is my part time, when I try to sharpen my logical skills. I am soon gonna buy its sequel. I want to ask the developer if They plan to increase its story line, from Earth To Atlas then wherever it will take us, I'll buy that game.

Beat on stream with the help of chat for full context since some of the puzzles just did not compute to me what the goal was. interested in a third.
neutral · AI labelView post →We managed to complete Machinika: Atlas, great game though their hint-system and controls does need some re-work.. (Something is not right) I don't see as a hint!! "Chicken Police: Into The Hive" was next, and what an amazing return to a franchise!! Sonny and Marty!!🤜🤛

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Machinika Museum is a point and click puzzle game where you try to piece together how different pieces of alien machinery work. You control the game using the mouse and are meant to play with perspective as you do many micro puzzles for each chapter. The puzzles just require some exploration and checking around each device to make sure you're not missing something. Visually the game has a nice art style. The graphics are detailed in a nice way and let you immerse yourself into each puzzle. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun 3D puzzle-adventure, Perfect for fan of The Room series 🎮 Gameplay: - Smooth interaction & engaging puzzle with enough logical element to solve it, although some parts can be a bit confusing and the game doesn't have a hint system. 🖥️/📖 Intriguing Atmosphere: - Great graphics & the implementation of Sci-fi element keep the game interesting ⏱️ Playtime can be short depending on how fast you solve the puzzle
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I completed this game pretty quickly, literally 2 sessions (my little brother with who I played it couldn't sit still and solve puzzles more than 2 hours). I am not very into genre of puzzles, my maximum was "Treasure Seekers 2. The Enchanted Canvases" (and another but forgot name), puzzles not as hard... sometimes you wouldn't just understand (which is plus as for me bc its alien theme after all). But very little more than nothing to go through, nothing to say "a-ha!" about, has good theme…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8 Bucks for 4 hours? Cool concepts, but unfortunately not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Machinika Museum is a little game with mechanical puzzles alike The Room and The House of Da Vinci. Good visuals but the rest of it is pretty basic overall. There's a few interesting mechanics to solving these puzzles. Difficulty ranges from easy to medium level. Most of the time it's understanding what needs to be done, not how to do it. The story itself is very basic and deals with alien technology that can only come out of minds like Spielberg: extreme miniaturization and law of physics…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple but fun. Puzzles are not challenging, but good for chilling time. I loved scifi background of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Room but scifi. Little else to say about it. It's fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really cool and creative puzzle game about figuring out how alien gear works. Sadly, it's a bit short
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A most excellent The Room-type game, if a bit short. If you enjoyed The Room or House of Da Vinci (especially The Room), I wholeheartedly recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All I can say is Wow! This game struck the perfect balance for me of visual aesthetic, backstory, and puzzle detail and complexity. I'd rate this as one of the top 2 or 3 puzzle games I've ever played. If I have a complaint, it's only that the scene navigation could be a bit more intuitive. But that's a minor cavil, the game follows pretty typical conventions and it's easy to get used to. Highly recommended!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun! I enjoyed playing it a lot
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such fascinating artifacts. PROS: Machinika Museum is a puzzle game designed around 3D space examination & placement. You play as an artifact analyst at a museum, examining alien artifacts that arrive in to figure out what each one does & guarantee the safety of it. Each item can be viewed in a 3D space, tasking the player to find small areas & solve each artifact's puzzles. Though simple, the design of them has a fascinating nature to it, especially with the ending reveal. Through the use…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good - not too tricky. I liked the "puzzle box" mechanic. All the puzzles seemed to be logically put together. Completed in less in 5 hours. Worked well on a low-spec Linux PC: - Ubuntu 24.04 - Intel i7-3770 - Nvidia GeForce GT 730 - 16GB RAM - Tinker launcher / proton 9 - Running on 1920 x 1200 display with the second highest graphics setting

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The "Alien" Room...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a somewhat half-hearted thumbs down. It's a small puzzle-game, and largely functional. I got it on sale for a single euro, and it kept me moderately entertained for 2.5 hours, which is a decent enough money-to-fun ratio. But... ergh. I just can't recommend - there's too many little things wrong with it. The story, what there is of it, is completely nonsensical. The controls were clearly designed with touch-screens in mind, so playing it on Steam with a mouse is inherently kind of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →machinika museum is a great, relaxing puzzle game that gives your brain a fun little workout without being overly stressful a perfect way to unwind after work
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You get handed a series of alien relics and have to work out how to operate them. I enjoyed it, I got that feeling of satisfaction when you figure it out and the power comes on or the compartment clicks open. It’s short (5.5 hours for me). It runs fine on Deck but the joysticks are not great for this. I thought the touch screen was easier. If you like mechanical type puzzles, give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like these small Myst-like experiences like The Room and House Of DaVinci? If yes, then get this one. Puzzles are good, it doesn't wste your time, it looks great and it's hella fun.
