It's just not good. Pretty on the surface but the gameplay is miserable. The game is primarily a puzzle platformer but the controls are imprecise which leads to endless furstration. It's hard to tell exactly where your character's feet are, it's hard to face diagonally when not moving, all the platforming abilties are bound to the same button, etc. To make matters worse, the game loves to spam you with projectiles …

i had a really good time with this one!! magical Blush has a charming little fantasy world with pretty pixel art, magic and lots of exploration. i especially enjoyed discovering new spells and experimenting with them during combat, since the different elements make the fights more interesting. there are also puzzles and secrets scattered around the map which made exploring feel rewarding. its a simple game but has a …

Very cool action-adventure that feels like a combo of Zelda and metroidvania with a neat magic system on top. I liked the spell variety, the level design, the pixel-3Dish graphics, but the game is a bit janky in areas and the story is just okay. Still a lot of fun, took me about 8 hours to get the good ending.

Magical Blush is a refreshing Metroidvania with charming pixel art, beautiful animations, and excellent VFX. It stands out by blending magic based combat, exploration, and clever puzzles into a fun and rewarding experience. Definitely worth playing.

Beautiful metroidvania with a cool and badass protagonist. The attention to details is amazing, the protagonist's hair is particularly eye-catching! The gameplay is solid and varied, with many spells and combos to perform. I love the many gameplay customization options via the 'relics', and the "plot" some characters offer, like the shopkeeper hahaha.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite it being a genuinely wholesome game, your friends will likely think you are being "horny on main" when your in-game status reads Magical Blush. If you're afflicted with SMV (Sega Mind Virus) like I am, Magical Blush will immediately evoke memories of playing action RPGs on the Saturn. I think this is mostly due to its high quality 2D art and "CD quality" soundtrack. Check out the music in the third video trailer if you want a taste of what I mean (sadly that cut did not make it into…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game has a strong start. I loved the elemental based combat and the freedom of exploration, but the platforming was subpar, one of the bosses was a boring and frustrating one note chase, and there was puzzle that flat out ended my time with the game. If you have the patience, you can get through it, but I would try the demo first if you are on the fence. https://youtu.be/Ad42Cb5OpEo?si=huy7ABfUsHHl70QQ

positive · AI labelView post →Magical Blush is a charming MetroidVania/ platformer, you basically have basic spell that allow you to earn mana by hitting enemy then use the mana to cast advance spell. Some of area require clever usage of spell to pass and its not easy at all. Personally i die to environment more than any other bossfight :3. Overall its quite fun as there over 20 spells with some crazy spell that can wipe out the whole map. First Hour 30m Walkthrough YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/ntRLvgDqzkc…

neutral · AI labelView post →TL;DR - A great concept but the game felt a little underwhelming. This game was recommended to me by Steam Calendar as a newer Metroidvania project and the isometric metroidvania looked interesting to me so I've decided to give it a try. If there was an option to give it a neutral review I would most likely go with it but overall an experience felt more on a positive side so there it is. The gameplay itself was great, there're a lot of spells and its combinations to test out and have fun…

positive · AI labelView post →Magical Blush is a Pixel Art Action Adventure where you play as Arnin and go on an adventure in trying to find out more about the truth and attempt to save your brother Nihan. The game offers multiple stages connected through a world map where you traverse through them by obtaining special abilities that allows you to backtrack later on, a metroidvania map style for you to explore and find many secrets and talisman items. The game uses the concept of elemental magic where each has their own…

neutral · AI labelView post →I really enjoyed my time playing Magical Blush mostly played on my steam deck. It also helps the devs are actively fixing and looking at feedback. They pretty much fixed all the issues I had with the game almost immediately after others reported them. Time to 100% achievements ~11 hours. Pros: The game played perfectly on my steam deck and barely takes any space! I really enjoyed the different magical spells you can discover. The puzzles were not overly difficult but still required…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks very charming, feels good to play but 1. Bug blocked my progress 20 min into.the game. I unlocked some white key early in the game, but when I got to grimore room to use the key it disappeared, and the door is still closed. 2. No controls rebind. If the game breaking bug will get fixed I am happy to revisit the game and change my review to positive, but for now I cannot continue playing. Wish the dev all the best, I really see the vision here.

positive · AI labelView post →- Magical Blush This game looks so cute and interesting to play, also the music gives me magical girls' vibes. - Kernel Hearts Is this similar to Genshin Impact? Liked the music as well. - Ghostless Who is AI and who is human. - Dungeons & Desserts Kinda like Moonlighter, but lots of SWEETS!

positive · AI labelView post →So happy I found this game and had it on my wishlist since then. Such a great game. One of those games where you just trust the devs from one game alone enough to definitely buy their next one day one. This game has ups and downs. There are a few annoying areas (not "challenging", simply annoying) and the platforming is kinda wacky at times (you sometimes just run down from ledges even though you shouldn't automatically run down from them. The glass platforms you create in front of you are…

The vibes (pixel art, character sprites, environment, music, color scheme) are all very much my vibes. I even played the demo, streamed a little bit of it for funsies, and I did enjoy what I saw in the demo. So, I bought the game day one especially since the game is only like $15. Like $15 isn't a big deal. Unfortunately, the demo is not a good…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a very cute game. its less metroidvania than you like be led to believe but its a fun game. but im partial to magical girls
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this game a lot. It's a really good puzzle metroidvania based on magic spells and unique progression. The game is very puzzle-heavy, some of which require good timing. There are times where I got frustrated, but I like to think that the progression of puzzles is very fair. And some of the more difficult puzzles are for optional content, requiring one to think outside the box in terms of talismans and spells - and it's satisfying to get them right. The puzzles that lead to the…

neutral · AI labelView post →OK, let's strap in, this is gonna be a long one. For those of you who just want a short version: this game is awesome. Now, for the long version, Magical Blush is a top down action metroidvania with a focus on magic attacks. The protagonist, Lina Inverse.... I mean Arnin, is a powerful sorcerers that mastered the five elements (5th one is spirits, for those wondering), and who was awakened and must regain her powers before fighting off a powerful evil. Story is relatively basic, but does the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely fun game that I was pretty iffy about early on. Once you start unlocking different magic abilities that better suit your style and add movement mechanics, it gets really good. On top of it, the puzzles are genuinely fun. I seemed to have solved a few using unintended means just based off the magic abilities I had active. Really makes this game more open ended than I expected. It doesn't seem like an extremely long game, but a great travel game. I played on 3 flights and am waiting for…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game is very enjoyable. The Spell mechanics are well thought out, feeling crisp and refreshing when used. There's a lot of discovery in the game, in both the locations and the gameplay mechanics. I'm having a lot of fun with this game and can't wait to see what the end has in store.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Very solid game, leaves you wanting for more. + Music suprisingly bobs in more than one area. + Art can be suprisingly stylish. - Lacking a harder difficulty currently, there is only easy and casual [one locked achievement]. * Enemies, including bosses are overwelmed by spamming starting abilities. * puzzles are quite fair with only a couple requiring a second look, with the few exceptions of some cycle issues which I'm certain can be tuned out. One of those game where just as you start to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Magical Blush is a game I had high expectations for after trying out the demo in the last Next Fest. It is in a genre that is out of my usual comfort zone, but that didn't matter, because I had so much fun with it. I’m Brazilian and the fact that the game was developed by a Brazilian studio from Ceará, Alkacer, just brings me so much joy. The devs sprinkled the game with many Brazilian folklore references that put a smile on my face as I was playing it. But rest assured, you don’t need to know…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo and put two hours on the game this morning! It's been a fun Magical Zelda-like-vania so far. I've been upgrading my spells and there's a few challenge encounters that feel like enemy rooms you'd like in DOOM. However, overall the game is quite relaxed while still having enough action to keep me entertained. I'll update my review when I've beaten the game to see how the overall experience is. Here's my Stream below if you want to see some of the first two hours of the game!…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game. There could've some polish here and there, but overall a pretty good game. I especially love how the map is done, and how you have multiple entrances, it's really fun. Every element has it's own little gimmick and they are all cool. EXECPT THE VALCANO DOUBLE/TRIPLE DAMAGE IS NOT A GIMMICK!!! I HATE THAT PART!!! Nice chill game, very easy to 100% too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a REALLY fun game and definitely worth a go. The art style, the fluid gameplay and the platformer puzzles are a good time. It can be tricky to work out where to go but you just gotta explore A HIGH recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this game from a post on Reddit from the developer. Never heard of it until then. Bought it on a total whim. Glad I did, because I enjoyed just about every aspect of the game! The weaving of spells together and combo-ing enemies, using the talisman and changing the spell pools with the talisman to take full advantage of traversing, obtaining items, and defeating enemies is really smart. I had a bug with my old save file, and the developer was able to reach out to be and get everything…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very pretty game. But desperately in need of some difficulty adjustment. I like hard games but it’s hard in that way where I don’t feel super invested or like I need to see more. Will probably come back to it later in hopes it gets some difficulty sliders lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very interesting game. It can get challenging at times and thats a good thing. The art style reminds me of Celeste. The music is good and the gameplay is solid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very strong game in it's genre. Made with passion and love. Recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute Art Direction with feeling. Ability unlocks come quickly so the exploration progress feels satisfying. Feels like a proper Metroidvania. Pros: - Enemies are elemental coded based on color. Makes it much easier to determine how to fight them. - The map is good. Ability gates are labelled automatically. Progress is tracked per level and the number of exits per level is also tracked. Very useful! Pain Points: - I wish there was an option to make the Switch Magic button be a hold action…

An interesting title it's classified as a top down Metroidvania with some stated Order of Ecclesia inspiration in terms of level design of how you go between locations on a world map and revisit later. Pretty fun and love the graphics but has some old school
positive · AI labelView post →10) Magical Blush by Alkacer Game Studio A top down action/adventure game meets Metroidvania exploration where you cast spells through the power of the elements. The pixel art is stunning, and the combat is fast paced but fun to chain spell combos within.
neutral · AI labelView post →While there are a lot of small things I have some issues with in the game, I'm pretty positive on it overall. Though, boy, those last couple boss fights are such a pain in the ass that I soured on it a bit by the end. Still, this has some excellent puzzles, solid combat, some okay build diversity (though I think there is basically a single optimal build by the time you hit the final bosses, sadly) -- basically everything you need for a solid 10-15 hours of a good time. I'd definitely recommend…
