i played the first reigns games on mobile, so i already knew the core elements of this game style. if you’re expecting some huge, story-rich witcher experience, you might end up disappointed. it’s more like a small side experience for fans who miss the witcher universe. it’s not groundbreaking, and it’s not trying to be. for the price, i’d say it’s worth trying.

Grabbed it because i love witcher, but apart from the lore and characters, there's nothing inhenrentingly witcher about this. it's fun-ish for the first few times you play, but then it kind of becomes the same thing over and over with very little variation. for me, i decided to just shelve this game (at least for now). Really its just guessing whether you think an action is going to make numbers go up or down, try to balance it, and go forth. ive had runs go really long or really short and it doesnt feel too impacted by how im playing. Every choice just seems random and completely unrelated to the previous ones, Really just trying to balance different scales with each choice but other than that everything just feels really inconsequential. Much better for like a mobile game to play on the train maybe just to kill some time but not worth it for the deck or PC gaming.

To be honest, it's hard to even call this a proper Witcher game: all you get is Witcher-themed skins and names for a story that could've just as easily been told about some other game. You have to maintain a balance between the path and how others view the Witcher. If you lose, you start over, and get new cards. Don't expect a triple A epic or flush out combat.
