What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 199 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,331 of 4,049 positive).
Some reviewers criticize the bike physics, citing understeer and unresponsive controls that feel unrealistic. [1][2][3] Several players recommend buying the game on sale due to its high price and numerous DLCs. [4][5][6]

Pros: great looking graphics, lots of detail in terms of visuals and customizability. Cons: the bikes "don't listen", they understeer horribly, the brakes feel like they are barely there (wooden), the entire riding experience feels like someone wanted the game to LOOK like motorcycle racing from birds eye view, and so they made a game that forces you to follow a scripted path at a scripted speed to make the visual …

RIDE 5 improves, optimizes, enriches the experience of the Milestone series thanks to a lot of new content, including several brand-new tracks and a well-structured and interesting Career mode, which focuses on the traditional Gran Turismo-style progression system while missing the opportunity to rationalize the difficulty balance according to precise and not circumventable rules.

I purchased the special edition when it was on sale (15gbp) and so I would recommend this game on a "wait for sale" basis. Having played a wide variety of arcade/simulation racing games, this is my first motorcycle "sim-cade" racing game. Its a simulation in the way that its immersive visually and through feel (gamepad vibration in regards to when the front tyre starts to complain under braking/lean angle, and rear …

RIDE 5 is the kind of game that reminds you very quickly how unforgiving motorcycles are — and how addictive mastering them can be. From the first lap, the sense of speed is immediate. Bikes feel fast, twitchy, and constantly on the edge, especially as you start pushing harder. It’s not a full hardcore sim, but it demands respect. Overcook a corner, get greedy on the throttle, or forget you’re not in a car, and the …

first off all, why do you guys keep removing bikes from previous game???? ride 5 it self is already 60 bucks and the game have less bikes and content, okay i bought it on discount but i woudnt even consider to wishlist this game at all if the game is just corupted copy paste from previous game. Some of the bike sounds horrible especially the mighty mt09, its sounded more like vacuume cleaner than a 3 cyl bike. the …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Ride 5 received positive reviews on Metacritic. In Japan, four critics from Famitsu gave the game a total score of 32 out of 40. TechRadar called Ride 5 "one of the best-looking PS5 games" but said it is "just not that enjoyable to play". Comparing it to the previous entry, they said the games "look and feel functionally identical" except for the addition of split screen support. They recommended it to simulation purists but said casual racing fans might dislike what they felt was a steep learning curve. Gamepressure praised its improved physics and improved AI for rival motorcyclists, but they found the other new features to be less impressive. They concluded that it is not as good as Ride…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I purchased Ride 5 at full price and have been extremely disappointed with the PC experience. The game will no longer launch due to Easy Anti-Cheat issues. This is a well-documented problem affecting many players. I am running a high-end, well maintained PC that has no trouble running other modern racing and simulation titles. Ride 5 worked maybe twice, and after that became completely unusable. Troubleshooting only inflated "playtime" without providing actual gameplay. For 60+ title. a game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, a great racing game in my opinion, with some criticisms for sure. The Good: -There is quite a large selection of bikes from multiple types/classes. -The bikes feel great overall (with some caveats that I'll get into later), they sound great (especially once you change the exhaust), and they look fantastic. Are they as flickable as a real life racing bike? No. Do they feel like driving a bus as mentioned in several negative reviews? Also no* (when factoring in the caveats I…

It feels nothing like actual riding as a result.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The "game" part of the game is annoying and lame, but the way the bike physics feels is awful. I've plenty of hours in the other Ride games, let alone my actual motorcycle, but this is really not fun. Bought on sale for $9.00 usd and it's not worth it. If you like motorcycles look elsewhere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →understeer rewind understeer rewind understeer rewind understeer rewind . . .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yet another game that just sucks at portraying how a motorcycle feels and what its like to control one
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This games prevents me from going INSANE during the Off season of bikes, up here, up north.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Love Motorsport but Ride 4 Is better graphics 7/10 Gameplay 6.5/10 Ai 7/10 The Ai in the Game Have the Same Lap time Every Lap Bikes 9/10 For me RIde 4 is more Enjoyable Would Recommend Ride 4 But Wouldnt Recommend Ride 5 Buy a Diffrent game Overall 6/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dragging knee on a 250cc bike going 80km/h (That's like... 45 freedoms per hour?) and the bike goes straight. This game was made by people who have never ridden a motorcycle FOR people who have never ridden a motorcycle.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trash, I've rode super bikes for around 5 years now and let me tell you this game doesn't get it right. moving your body in game should help certain things when maneuvering the track but it doesn't. Brakes don't work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →By far the worst "simulation game I have ever play. Bike is impossible to control, it reacts nothing like a real bike.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with good details. I wish it had an open world. Could be better with more bikes in stages. Quite expensive with lots of DLCs. Rating: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →handling is damn near impossible and the bikes feel inconsistent, one moment brakes stop you in seconds and the next they will not engage at all? this game USED to feel good but not anymore... uninstalling
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →after about 500 hours combined between ride 4,5, and 6 i personally think this is the best out of the three, with ride 4 being just as good for the most part. have grown to love the physics and have really mastered the turning and braking. after everything clicks and your in flow state it is a phenomenal game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NICE Graphics runs smooth thats the good things now the bad the bikes are horrible to ride no stopping power and just feel unresponsive hard to turn hard to keep in strriaht line after coming out a corner like your balancing on rope on two wheels is just not fun shame really after coming from ride 2 which is fun to play i can not recommend ride 5 . refunded
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →✅ Huge selection of bikes 🏍️ – from classic machines to modern superbikes ✅ You can try every bike 🔄 – I tested almost all of them and compared speed & handling ✅ Super fun experience 😄 – felt like I was a kid again playing this ✅ Each bike feels unique ⚙️ – real differences, not just visuals ✅ Lots of content & races 🏁 – keeps you playing for a long time ✅ Satisfying progression 📈 – unlocking new bikes feels amazing ✅ Similar vibe to Forza Horizon 🌍 – but focused only on motorcycles ✅…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really do try to enjoy Ride series, but every time the bikes just feel floaty and unresponsive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is pretty good. Some people call it unresponsive but I think the bike behaves close enouugh in corners and braking as it would irl. The game isn't fully realistic as you can break and accelerate hard af fully leaned over but otherwise it balances arcade and sim pretty good. My only thing is I personally don't thinks the graphics are great. And some bikes sound kind of meh. **NOTE FOR DEVS** : MAKE THE DAMN SCREENS AT THE END OF A RACE IN MULTIPLAYER SKIPPABLE. IM WASTING 45 SECONDS OF…

neutral · AI labelView post →fun but also its literally easier to ride a literbike IRL than it is to ride a 250 in this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like someone forgot to implement brakes. Bad understeer and driving animations look weird, like taking a corner in mario kart or something. I would have played it further to see if its just the first bike, like how the first car in assetto corsa sucks, but with all those unskipable cutszenes I lost all interest. Thanks for telling me about that in a 1v1 there is only one winner while sounding like a politician trying to talk around the topic
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →how can you make a game solely about motorcycles and the motorcycle controlling mechanics are so completely garbage they feel like they don't even belong in the game????
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →full of bug and force player to use epic game service that cause ton of bug like game won't close , game freeze.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love MotoGP and have a love for bikes, this is your game! Great graphics and mechanics. This game takes skill and precision. Would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is probably the most realistic bike racing game. Thigs game has at the time of writing this 282 bikes in it. All the bikes are highly detailed and it isn't just modern bikes the are old bikes like the TL1000R, CBR900RR, GSX-R 750 (Slingshot, SRAD and the original 1985 one) GPZ900R, KZ1000R and FZR750. The game has enough tracks that you wont get bored but it doesn't have too much that you will not be able to find the track you want. The career mode is so good for being a game career…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry but what is this? Game is unplayable, the bike handling is so unrealistic. Has nothing in common with riding a motorcycle in real life. It feels like i'm driving a 40 ton truck. Must be one of the worst racing games. Plus the game is installing all the Epic Malware which is available onto your computer. After uninstalling this game the Epic Spyware remains. You have get rid of it yourself!

It’s not a full hardcore sim, but it demands respect. Overcook a corner, get greedy on the throttle, or forget you’re not in a car, and the game will happily remind you why two wheels are terrifying. The handling…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way better than the previous game, the only improvement I wish for this game is the sound of the bikes. Otherwise this is by far my favourite downtime game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 238 x Backlog Quests 38: Ride 5 So this is (as of writing this) the most recent game in the series. It was fun, its not a favourite of ours but it was still enjoyable. Just really like the quick races and some tracks felt ok or too similar to previous ones 7/10
neutral · AI labelView post →Nice game with great visuals, but it’s too focused on the supersports category
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HOLDIN' ON - Ride 5 photomode shots I've done recently, from a random spur of the moment decision to play this game again...I should do that more often haha. #RIDE5 #virtualphotography

neutral · AI labelView post →This is my favorite game in the Ride series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game, Ive heard a lot of crap about how it isnt as good as 4, but its pretty good. If you like motorbike games it plays about the same as motogp25 to me, but with different bikes and tracks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →don't waste your money on this game. it's not fun at all. I don't know why I kept playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A horrible game, not being able to skip the too long talking to jump on the main menu. Not interested in your useless story. Too many help bubbles which needs to be acknowledged, just ruin the game itself. Not worth it, really.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bikes only know how to understeer, genuinely nowhere near the greatness of ride 4's handling, even if ride 4 has less bikes to choose from.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant image anyone who had a hand in making this game spent any more than 5 minutes on a motorcycle. Its like the roads and wheels are made of ice. Hilariously bad riding mechanics. I was laughing while i pressed alt f4 to uninstal.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, unfortunately had to refund since i'm not exactly good on money rn
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game won't close upon exiting. Keeps running after shut down, only stops if PC restarts Found a bandaid solution. Before exiting game, go to settings -> other -> unlink Ride 5 profile. Next time you play it will try to get you to accept milestone privacy policy. Always reject that, and the game will close
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RIDE 6 is here and I have spent some time getting to know the latest version in the franchise. In my RIDE 6 review I tell you my impressions of game and how it stacks up against RIDE 5. #ride6 #milestone #plaion youtu.be/VijZ3GQvg1o
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm attached with the game. The bike behavior is quite solid and pretty various. Graphic is decent. AI could be frustrating sometimes (or most of the time).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only played this a brief amount of time so far but I know from Ride 4 its all the same problems: Forces you to start with rubbish bikes, not like forza where its much easier and quicker to get into a racing category you actauly like. This game forces you to work up from 250cc to 1000cc. REALLY annoying narrator at the start of the game and you cant skip it. Annoying autopilot starts No bigger screens or rear sets (for looks) Braking line is just wrong on high power bikes, they just…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, so this game IS really good. The physics and graphics are great. That's not all, tho: 1. This is the first entry to remove the RED notification from time trials and make this, imo, the most fun mode, and the most fun entry in the series up to this point; I can easily spend an hour lapping one track. 2. While the AI opponents are better than the last games, they will still ram the back of you regardless of difficulty chosen: 40-120% they do this in all aggro settings. You can turn off…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Gran Turismo of motorcycles is probably the best way to describe Ride in general. I do honestly wish they'd include some of the newer brands and models of some bikes (CFmoto gp/street bikes, more naked versions, streetfighters, etc.) but as a whole the game is rock solid. The learning curve is steep especially given that I sim race cars around a lot of the same tracks. Figuring out where to brake & lean in, weight transferring and all can be a bit much but its satisfying when it does all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very satisfying when you get the leans down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but Ride 3 is muuuuuuch more fun and enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 game AI are okay and what other people would want is an AI that don't smack into you even tho they'll probably just rage quit after a while and come back
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun for a little bit, but the turning radius bs is garbage. can't turn for shi compared to the older ride games
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, good physics & alot of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im bad at this game therefore i hate it
