Basically a demo at this stage - massively overpriced at £25. The few pre- made missions are mostly garbage (Friendly Fire in particular). No scenery. No weather. Only 4 planes, of which only the spitfire is flyable, except for 1 or 2 pre-made missions, and even in these, the 109 would not go over 150mph. The wing commander missions all seem to start off with all the planes stacked in a small column - basically an …

Gameplay becomes repetitive in the current developpement state, i'm very eager to see the upcoming features to bring more variety. i'll definitely keep playing the game. Quite addicting as a tactical aircraft battle wich is an original concept : a very chill blend of not sim and not arcade. The early state of the game isn't buggy too much, and not at all to the point of stopping the fun.

Played similar earlier games more than a decade ago, and they were significantly better. Just two hours in, and yes, I understand that there is a leaning period, but this is hot garbage. The biggest issue is that it doesn't matter what your target is, it will just do a ridiculous forward bunt, whether the aircraft was capable of doing that or not. Bf109s, yes, direct fuel injection, so forward bunt possible. Rest no. Seeing a Do-17 immediately nosedive past the vertical to evade a attack from…

My first thought on seeing this game was, "why hasn't anyone made this game before?" It's such a great idea! I love simultaneous turns for this kind of thing; the comparison that always pops into my mind is BSG: Deadlock (and Star Hammer before it), but having to worry about things like gravity, blackouts and detailed systems damage adds a lot to the experience. After playing it, I can appreciate why we don't have a million games like this, and it's because they had to solve some pretty tricky…

great concept of a game. usually hopelessly out numbered ...1 flight of 3 planes fighting 8, almost 3 to 1 odds. the lines for nose direction, gun lanes and circles showing hit box on enemies needs to be lot darker to see. would be good to zoom from your own plane to the target to get a better idea for where your shots are going. would be good to have at least 1 more plane in your flight so you can have a wingman, more aircraft to control to make each turn last longer. some sort of pilot…

Being an older player I rather enjoy the turn based aspect. It may not be for everybody. Pretty refined game from what I am seeing. I do recommend it if you like turn based strategy. The rest of it is really a sharp dog fighting sim type game. savable replays. They even offer a replay with red or blue trail for every plane in the battle depending on friend or foe. I've been a pilot my whole life. I've also been fascinated by the Battle of Britain since I was ten. I'm also on old board gamer, and loved games about aerial combat. So, yes, I'm your Huckleberry, Slitherine. This game mission setup is a little more abstract than I prefer. I'd like to choose my base (Biggin Hill!) and maybe select some abstract sectors to patrol, while leaving some pilots on scramble duty, on an actual map. But that's hardly the meat of the game. The planes…

I love the idea, and the game is truly fun and challenging! But I am super disappointed that the changes from the demo, to "early access" were minimal. 1 new mode has been added which only adds some UI clicking and dragging, otherwise the rest is just random battles which you could do already in the demo. I have a policy that I do not like to buy into early access and this is why. Once the game releases, I promise to give it a full shake but the progress from early access to demo is not…

I let this game languish in my backlog, and I'm sad about that but I'm doing my best to make up for it. Right now, this game is a combat simulator set during the Battle of Britain during WW2. They recently added a squadron commander mode, but at it's heart this game is a mainly a furball simulator. You can choose from set missions, you can click instant action and get what you get, but the game is about small groups of planes trying to murder each other. There is no searching for the enemy,…

I really want to like this game and think it has a LOT of potential, I just think though it has been released too early and they have loaded the RAF aircraft with a load of guaranteed failure points to ensure the pretty poor AI is able to win some. For example G force, yep its a factor in air combat, but when the German planes never seem to suffer no matter how tight they turn yet a Spit, known for it ability to turn inside a 109 attempts it the pilot blacks out virtually EVERY time no matter…

I don't think I've ever played anything like this. Scramble: Battle of Britain is like an interactive version of the History Channel's old Dogfight series. Turn by turn you engage in aerial battles above the English channel where tactics, positioning, and a bit of luck come together to make for an engaging experience. This doesn't replace other aerial combat games in my library but supplements them and between the turn by turn process and the excellent replay system I've developed new…

Scramble is is pretty freaking cool. Reminds me favorably of Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock's combat, and I played that game like crazy. It takes a bit to get a feel for it, but once you do it becomes something of a basic fighter maneuvers chess match. I have played flight sims and combat flight sims for most of my life, and employing familiar tactics from this perspective in a turn based tactical game is really cool and refreshing. Its opinion about early acces version (late february 2026). The game looks groundbreakingly beautiful, but like the early stages of development. The most difficult and tedious part is searching through all possible positions and trying to find the target with the reticle. Another problem is the lack of a wider perspective option, meaning you can see the situation from a distance away from the plane, sometimes even sideways. We now have a two-dimensional image, but we're operating in three…

Has some great potential but definitely not ready for sale at the moment. Unless you micro-manage every pilot's action, they will brainlessly dive into the sea. Needs more AI support that allows wing men to support your attacks without each pilot being micro managed. On large battles, the amount of micro management makes this came confusing and hours long. What the game is successful at, is showing just how complex and difficult air combat was during 1940.
