It looks bright, but the gameplay is very simple and quickly gets boring. Battles come down to button mashing, the platformer is almost automatic, and sometimes freezes also interfere with normal play.

It's an undeniably vibrant and charming 3D platformer with a neat concept centered around restoring hues to a segregated world. However, the entirely automated platforming and overly simplistic combat make it feel more like an interactive cartoon than an engaging game. Great for younger players, but a bit too shallow for seasoned platformer fans.

Found this game absolutely delightful. At its core, it’s a children’s game and I feel like a lot of the negative reviews seem to be missing that fact. The hate for the auto-jumping seems overblown too since games like Shadow of Mordor have it and don’t seem to get the same hate. The combat it fun a fluid and the different colour powers make it so you can approach fights with a few different strategies but it’s not …

man, this game is just... not for me. seriously, i tried, but it just doesn't click. it feels kinda unfinished, you know? like they had some good ideas but didn't quite polish 'em up. the gameplay loop is super repetitive. do the same thing over and over, not much variety. gets boring real fast. and the story? forgettable. i barely remember anything that happened, which is a shame 'cause i usually like a good …

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is a vibrant and heartfelt action-adventure that wears its inspiration from classic 3D platformers proudly while carving out an identity built around color, emotion, and thematic unity. Developed by Mimimi Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the game presents a whimsical yet allegorical journey through Colortown, a world literally powered by its many hues. From the very …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful world that's for sure. I would wait until it goes on sale but otherwise not a bad game at all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A rather colorful game, in the style of a children's cartoon, with very colorful characters and locations. The plot is childishly simple and naive, but that's even more enjoyable

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →god I hated this game. everything was so ugly and so stupid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →okay so i finally got around to playing this and... wow. just wow. the vibe is incredible, the story is actually good and really pulls you in. they nailed the atmosphere, seriously. it’s rare to find a game that feels this complete and polished from start to finish. the gameplay itself is super engaging, never felt like a chore. you're always doing something interesting, making progress, or just enjoying the world. it's not some half-baked idea, it feels like they put real thought into…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a beautiful action-adventure game mainly aimed at kids. The art style is beautiful on 2k and on Ultra, at least. It has aged really well. The story is interesting, and the gameplay is mediocre, which is not a big problem, as the game truly aims for kids. And for that, it is highly recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a reminder to my future self. This game has very basic easy combat and little exploration. There is no platforming that isnt automated like Enslaved. The combat is Arkham City just worse. Go play any other 3D action game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Mimimi's other games so for $2 on sale I thought I'd give it a try. It has a certain charm and people nostalgic for a certain type of game may like it, but I found it pretty basic and bland.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was having an interesting, somewhat fun time of it, until I got to the green district and had to get past a giant security drone and it kept spotting me and killing me with an undodgeable, one-hit range attack--then continued to spawn-kill me after that! I tried hurrying backwards to the previous area after spawning but it's attack hit me through the walls! Sure, it felt like a glitch but it also felt like 2014 game design. I don't know. It also has the out-of-date design of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent kids' game complete with work together morals. reminds me a lot of demo games for snes or w/e waiting for parents to be done shopping
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the last tinker city of colors has a charming colorful world and a playful platforming adventure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice platformer with a colorful art style and a pleasant atmosphere. The gameplay is fairly simple and doesn't offer much surprise, but it's enjoyable enough to keep you going. Some parts feel repetitive, overall it's a decent experience. Nothing groundbreaking,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the last tinker has a colorful world and a cheerful platforming adventure that feels like a nice change from games that take themselves too seriously running around the city solving problems and helping different groups get along gives the journey personality
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In theory this could have been a great game, but it is seriously buggy. Combine that with very few checkpoints and you get a nightmare. I have found plenty instances where I only could reload to fix a bug, setting me back a long while. Even with that heavy -90% discount, I recommend it only if you have a lot of patience, since there will be a lot of stuff you'll have to repeat... It's a very charming game with a cool story and setting, but the technical problems are too much.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun platform/adventure game with an good story and cool style. Explore areas, solve puzzles, fight foes, talk with people, and make your way through the story. Combat is generally fairly easy with a few challenging areas. Platforming is set up so you can't fall into the pits, so it's more figure out the right path to take or time your jumps because of hazards like sinking platforms.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gotta say, this game is a solid one for sure. i spent a bunch of hours in it, just chilling out and having fun. if you're into a nice, relaxed experience where you can just vibe and unwind after a long day, then yeah, definitely grab this. the only real issue i ran into was with the pacing. sometimes it feels like things drag on a bit, and the story takes its sweet time getting going. it's not a huge deal, but it can make you wanna fast forward a little. but hey, even with that small complaint,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →alright, so this game. it's kinda hard to even put into words, honestly. like, you start playing and it just sucks you in, totally. the atmosphere is just incredible, really pulls you into its world. and the story? absolutely captivating. it keeps you guessing, you wanna know what happens next. i gotta say though, the technical side... it's a bit rough around the edges. there are some janky bits, bugs and stuff that kinda break the immersion. not game-breaking usually, but noticeable. and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wow, what a journey! this game totally caught me off guard in the best way. was expecting a chill, simple indie thing, but it blew my expectations out of the water. the story here is surprisingly deep. it hits you right in the feels with some serious themes, even though it looks all cute and pixel-y. like, it really makes you think about stuff. big fan of how they balanced that, it never felt too heavy or preachy. gameplay wise, it's pretty solid. nothing revolutionary but everything just…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Without Russian language, a very childish game, graphics at the level of Lego-Duplo, a slow walking simulator with platformer elements. The hero is a monkey, able to run, jump, fight. I bought a collection from the publisher. If it weren't for the sale and the chase for cards, I wouldn't have looked at this game at all.
