60 of 224 · most liked firstMany criticize the game for lacking innovation and being repetitive, since there are zombies everywhere. But I really enjoyed this installment. It's incredibly fun to play as a mage using the raven while collecting Scrolls of Journey (Ancestral Wisdom) specifically for the Furious Paladin.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's one of the first games i fell in love with when i was a kid and somewhere along the line i picked it back up as a web-based game, so it remains one of the 2 games I'm halfway competent at still playing. (the other one is King's Bounty)
positive · AI labelView post →Game Boy Color has these wonderful ports (I guess they can be called official "demakes") of Heroes of Might & Magic games that feel like a missing link between Heroes and King's Bounty. First game is basically Heroes 1, but the second game is more like Heroes Greatest Hits.
neutral · AI labelView post →The King's Bounty game are on deep discount on Steam, and if you like turn based my army of monsters fights yours combat it's really good. The story is such that I click click past it at this point. It's not bad or anything just trite and only sometimes amusing. But the games, solid fun.
positive · AI labelView post →I've seen someone else mention these, but I have to recommend them as well: **Maniac Mansion** (1987). It's the first SCUMM (_Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion_) engine game that all its successors use (Indy 3 & 4, Monkey Island, Sam and Max Hit The Road, etc). Really hard game play from what I can remember, and it has a sequel too, Day of the Tentacle (1993), which is absolutely hilarious. **Laser Squad** (1988) was among my favourites growing up, they are the precursor to UFO/XCOM…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So! 417 hours is an awful long time to play a game and give it a thumbs down. Why? TL;DR, the endgame is INSANELY buggy and completely killed my impossible, no loss completionist run. The good: The gameplay is classic KB gameplay. I've put a ton of time into the series so far, and it never gets old. Exploration was fun. The new viking units were neat to play with. The callbacks to previous KB games were fun. Many interesting characters to interact with. The valkyries are pretty neat, and a…

neutral · AI labelView post →It's a fun game and probably my favourite one yet of the series....when it works. Between the constant crashes and the fact that i got softlocked in a 50+ hour playthrough because of a bugged main quest, I cannot in good faith recommend this game to anyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heya folks, here's a 1st short featuring King's Bounty: The Legend by Fulqrum Publishing. This boss is from the 2nd major area in the game, but I'm currently on the 3rd major area. I started this game years ago as well. #kingsbountythelegend #videogames #indiegames #rpg #shorts
neutral · AI labelView post →I've owned this game for a long time on Steam but I have yet to finish it even once, despite my single current playthrough clocking in at exactly 57 hours. I love the King's Bounty series going all the way back to NWC's original. I've beat KB:TL at least 5 times on Insane (and with every class at least once) and I've similarly beat KB:AP:CW 3 or 4 times. I love the King's Bounty formula a GREAT deal but I'm still a bit ambivalent about this title. It's simply not refined and it adds very little…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →well i completed this game 100% just because its a kings bounty and i love this series but this game got to be THE worst kings bounty (not counting 2) the story didnt interest me at all even after 120 hours it was basicly pain playing and the amount of crashes i got completly randomly is uncountable. if you are a hardcore kings bounty fan you might want to catch it bc only dark side and this one have steam achievements. if youre a normal sane person please play crosswolrds/Armored Princess…

While King's Bounty The Legend still, to this day, remains the best one in the series in my opinion, Warriors of the North brings its own twist to the table. Play as Olaf, son of Tormund, who can be one of the three classical classes, Warrior, Rogue or Mage. Travel the islands of the Vikings in search for your brother, Eric, who has joined the dark side, in this grand adventure. King's…

King's Bounty: Warriors of the North is an absolute gem of an RPG. With a vast and detailed world to explore, engaging combat, and a variety of fascinating characters to recruit, it's hard not to fall in love with this game. I found myself completely immersed in the story and couldn't put it down until I had conquered every challenge. If you're a fan of RPGs, you owe it to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will emphasize that I played the first game "Legend" on impossible difficulty, which I abandoned at the 40 hour mark due to the ridiculous constant tedium this difficulty involved, and then I played Crossworlds to completion on hard difficulty, which wasn't that much better than Legend was on impossible. This is where I realized these developers were absolutely HORRID at balancing the game. Especially considering the fake footage they upload in the trailers where the player's army somehow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the past, I had the chance to play King's Bounty: The Legend and King's Bounty: Crossworlds, both of which I enjoyed immensely. They offered a great mix of strategy, exploration, and tactical battles that kept me hooked for hours. Naturally, I was excited to dive into Warriors of the North expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately, my time with the game has been far less satisfying. I ran into several frustrating bugs that made the experience almost unplayable. Some battles became…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started King's Bounty II today. After 90 minutes of play, I guess it's pretty okay...I'm a little miffed that the game is forcing me to remember things without a glossary to refer to 😑 Anyways, here is Countess Katharine, a mage and all around girlboss...some might even call her bitchy 😂
neutral · AI labelView post →This game will always have a special place in my heart <3 Such an underrated soundtrack as well, however there is one big downside to this KB game and that is the totally random crashes which force you to quicksave after every fight/quest. On the other hand this (and KB Dark Side) is the only KB game which has steam achievements which helped me to get through the “grindy” part of the game (especially since this is the longest in the series) The title: Elemental Overlord, which you get from…

neutral · AI labelView post →Welp, just finished the game and as for January 2025 play through I simply cannot recommend this game for a single reason, its crashing, a lot, in random moments. If you wanna play it, you need to make a habits of saving every ten steps you make, every fight you fight, every island you visit, or else it will crash and you will loose your progress. (As far as i can tell, game do not handle putting too much "graphics elements" into game memory, so if you reduce your overall settings, it may be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vikings and Dinos. What a time to be alive. Each KB title has a unique flavour of play style. WOTN is no exception when it comes to theme and variety. This KB title has not one, but TWO campaigns should you buy the DLC. If you want a somewhat easier game experience, play the original campaign. but Fire and Ice offers more areas, more variety in troops, and dinosaurs. The game, like the others, is tied together with the events of the KB series. But the difference with this one is that your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →www.twitch.tv/sabriel_zann I'm back from the dentist once more, fed, watered, rested and ready for more King's Bounty: The Legend. I deeply appreciate the people who've popped by to see me play this game. I know it's probably not the most exciting thing in the world but it's very dear to me. ❤️
positive · AI labelView post →Interesting mix of a shallow crpg and HoMM styled combat. Plot is not really interesting, some of the dialogues and side missions are actually funny, plenty of different items and various units, there are three skill trees (every class get two unique skills), I would say there are numerous usefull skills with one exception some of them (mostly rage based) get locked during boss fights, which isn't communicated before, so we might end up surprised, when we really need them. I really enjoyed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't go more than 3 minutes without crashing. I've yet to do more than get out the gate of the starting compound and start adventuring. I've tried all the things the internet advises. This came in a bundle so I can't really demand my money back. All the other games worked just fine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a tactical RPG that plays like Heroes of Might & Magic, but without a strategic layer. It's a third game on this engine, so it's polished, refined, and it's quite good. I couldn't finish it because there's so much game in there, and it's not a kind of game you can put down and continue later. But of course I don't feel cheated because I had a great time with this game, and you will too if you have any interest in tactical fantasy games. It's easy to like: generic fantasy world looks…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Songs of Conquest is outstanding from top to bottom. Best King's Bounty / Heroes of Might and Magic game yet, and they've got a great pipeline of very reasonably priced DLC on the way too.
neutral · AI labelView post →The whole first 'King's Bounty I' games are lots of fun, lovely graphics, fun writing and loads and loads of TBS fights and quests. I just bought the first in the series because I liked the graphics but after finishing them I bought the others too (so in all 'Armored princess', 'Legend', 'Crossroads', 'Dark Side' and 'Warriors of the North' this last one I've played for the largest part but not yet completely finished ). This game is a bit buggy so save regularly (sometimes it crashes while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earliest memories of video games were titles such as Aztec, Spy vs Spy, Frogger, King's Bounty. But what really got my eight year old mind captivated on a summer vacation in the 80s was Elite on C64. I've spent hours into the night trying to get as far away from Lave as possible, all while trying to make some profit on hauling food and computer parts. I did not understand the concept of saving and loading a saved game back then, so there was a lot of trial and error into permadeath involved.
neutral · AI labelView post →I have played a single impossible mode 174 run-through of King's Bounty: Lord's of the North With fire and ice expansion, and this game is great, I would say it is better than King's Bounty: The Legend which I have also played through as the Warrior class. This game I have played as the Skald class which is like the Paladin class, I liked the Skald class better. The first time I tried to play the game in 2017 I encountered a crash that corrupted the game files of the entire game, whenever I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game lost in translation, much like the dribble flecked ramblings of putin and his bumchums. Someone should put a King`s Bounty on him! ;D Слава Україні! GLORY TO UKRAINE!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring barely an expansion. I really liked both Armoured Princess and the Legend. This is a dissapointment. "Warriors of the North" last for only like 10 hours and consists of like 3 tiny , after which you go back to the reused locations from previous games. Boring quests, miniscule amount of new content, insane amount of bug's and typos. This is more of an asset flip than a game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game... if you save often. Honestly this is probably the best of the King's Bounty games, thusfar.. except for the fact that it seems to leak GPU memory, and inevitably crashes after playing for a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is based on the base game and not the dlc, which I didn't know exsisted until finally beating this game recently. It simply is not as good as the other games in this series. The balancing is wonky and things seem far more padded out. For example, having to constantly go back and forth to replenish your army after each fight on a horse that takes a trillion years to cross the map. This takes far too long to do and happens far too often, especially when compared to Armored Princess,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Delete saves every once in awhile, improves stability, still crashes but less often. Other than that good as any other Kings Bounty game, just somewhat longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →King's Bounty is basically HoMM 0. www.lemon64.com/game/kings-b...
neutral · AI labelView post →Crashes every 30-60 minutes, sometimes after big boss fight's if you try to safe. DLC is full of bugs. No open world anymore. Rigged storyline. Not save to run on win11. Boring fights and transions worst as in the past games, I would recommend everyone to skip this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#03 King's Bounty (1/2) I know the cover looks like a cheap Wimmelbild game, but bear with me: imagine Heroes of Might and Magic blended with more RPG elements and one singular world and campaign. For me this improved the formula to perfection. The strategic element isn't limited to battles.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgic and still great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most Hours in Game (non-MMO) I want to say King's Bounty 2. I played that for the first time earlier this year. Kind of similar to how when I watched The Acolyte I was like "someone made the exact show I want to watch," playing KB2 was like "someone made the EXACT game I want to play"
positive · AI labelView post →I liked it. This game feels like a single player version of heroes of might and magic where you can run around in your own pace and handle the enemies. It's fun and enjoyable to slowly build your army and character. There are som bugs and the text has some issues with spelling and grammar that they should have fixed by now, Still the game is good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 under baked no idea where to go most of the time - combat is awful if i need to refill every single battle back and fourth
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Speak for yourself. I did ~8h sessions with games like Creatures 2, Elite, King's Bounty.
