King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Developer Katauri Interactive
King's Bounty: Armored Princess (Russian: King's Bounty: Принцесса в доспехах) is a strategy video game developed for Microsoft Windows by Katauri Interactive and published in most regions by 1C Company in 2009. It is the sequel to the strategy game King's Bounty: The Legend, which is itself based on concepts from the much older King's Bounty developed years earlier by New World Computing. What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 156 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,317 of 1,446 positive).
Players praise it as a fantastic sequel that improves on the original. [1][2][3] Some warn that King's Bounty: Crossworlds includes this game and is a better purchase. [4][5][6] A few express frustration over the lack of widescreen support and a new launcher. [7][4][8]

🛑 DON'T BUY 🛑 Buy King's Bounty: Crossworlds instead which is an enhanced edition with better cutscenes, many extras and DLC included appropriate 16:9 resolution support (no more black bars). Very unfair devs never fixed 16:9 and cutscenes (postage stamp effect) in this edition.

Look at my play hours, it was belongs my deceived father 3 years ago. This was one of his favorite game, I played and finished too but I don't think I can play it again. Because I remember my father playing this game and then I get overly emotional. In summary its timeless masterpiece if u love the genre play this and rest of the Kings Bounty series.

Amazing game! I tried several games of the King's Bounty series, but Armored Princess is the one I enjoyed the most and keep coming back to from time to time. Cool units, nice spells, quality gameplay with Homm-like fights and a good campaign.

There's nothing quite like King's Bounty, and there's no King's Bounty like Armored Princess. Play it on lower difficulties for a mellow point and click adventure-like experience with lovely aesthetic design. Play it on higher difficulties for a meaty RPG experience. Either way you get a pet dragon. It's hard to not have fun with this game.

60 of 208 · most liked firstit's one of the first games i fell in love with when i was a kid and somewhere along the line i picked it back up as a web-based game, so it remains one of the 2 games I'm halfway competent at still playing. (the other one is King's Bounty)
positive · AI labelView post →Game Boy Color has these wonderful ports (I guess they can be called official "demakes") of Heroes of Might & Magic games that feel like a missing link between Heroes and King's Bounty. First game is basically Heroes 1, but the second game is more like Heroes Greatest Hits.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game WAS nice, but publishers stole the game from original developers, alienated it from, the country where game was made and now, after 25 years rolling out a launcher that have great potential to steal your personal data and break the game FUBAR at the same time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The King's Bounty game are on deep discount on Steam, and if you like turn based my army of monsters fights yours combat it's really good. The story is such that I click click past it at this point. It's not bad or anything just trite and only sometimes amusing. But the games, solid fun.
positive · AI labelView post →I've seen someone else mention these, but I have to recommend them as well: **Maniac Mansion** (1987). It's the first SCUMM (_Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion_) engine game that all its successors use (Indy 3 & 4, Monkey Island, Sam and Max Hit The Road, etc). Really hard game play from what I can remember, and it has a sequel too, Day of the Tentacle (1993), which is absolutely hilarious. **Laser Squad** (1988) was among my favourites growing up, they are the precursor to UFO/XCOM…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just get Crossworlds instead, it contains this game within it and they both go on similarly cheap discounts.

neutral · AI labelView post →King's Bounty: Crossworlds is this but better. Exact same game with more units and quests. No reason to buy this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is so much to love about this game that it would take a small book to detail it all. Basically you play the role of the heroine of the story. You roam around exploring the world and meeting NPCs that will give you side-quests. You pick up random treasure and hire soldiers and monsters in your army for battles. There is a plethora of items to buy, upgrade and outfit your warrior princess and as she adventures she will gain experience to upgrade her "tech-tree" of abilities and spells.…

neutral · AI labelView post →Don't buy this, unless it's in the bundle at high discount, because as this DLC is the sequel to King's Bounty: Legends, it's already included and even expanded in the King's Bounty: Crossworlds. I found this sequel more challenging as mage, especially in the beginning. Later, I could only win by using a mage with no losses when summoning creatures. The Engineer, Royal Thorn, and Nature Call spell combo was great for beating opponents marked as "slightly stronger" and even stronger. I noticed…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For #RandomGameSaturday - a giant collector's box of King's Bounty The Legend (The Legend About Knight in home market) - when 1C got rights for KB from dead 3DO/NWC, they hired Katauri Interactive to make a new series of games. A great fairy tale #RPG adventure with #HoMM - style combat

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm leaving a positive review in case the devs/ publisher sees this. IF YOU ADD A LAUNCHER TO THIS GAME YOU ARE RUINING FOR US AND I WILL MAKE THIS A BLOODY NEGATIVE REVIEW. King's Bounty: The Legend is one of my favorite games of all time. I played it for the first time this year. I'll definitely play through this sequel and the rest after that if you DON'T add your launcher to it. I'm seriously not gonna bother playing the games if you do. It's a security risk for us users, it's bloatware,…

Its blend of exploration, diplomacy, and combat creates a truly immersive experience.

neutral · AI labelView post →So much better than that piece of trash called Kings Bounty 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want a game like Heroes of Might and Magic but focused more on the rpg parts, this is the game for you. The combat is basically the same as in HOMM games, but in the overworld, you move real time and instead of managing your "faction" with multiple heroes, you play with a character and do all the looting, questing and exploring. The game have a really pleasant feeling, partially because of it's looks and it's "fairy taily" nature, which also makes the story rather hilarious and stupid,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game for 200 hours before and had to play it again once it got achievements. I played Kings Bounty: CW for over 400 hours previously and am waiting to play it again once it gets achievements!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess I'm stupid. On hard difficulty I cannot complete the game without losses as a paladin and I've heard people do that on impossible. Pros: * The game is freaking amazing for King's Bounty and Heroes of Might and Magic fans, I love it. * Runs on a potato nowadays. * Amazing graphics and music What could be improved but I guess will never be fixed: * There are some spelling errors and text artifacts like "inflicts {damage}" * Automatic path traversal sucks: oftentimes the game cannot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played a few nights now. Even on Easy this game is too difficult for my tastes. This is very much a 3D version of Heroes of Might and Magic. Instead of a flat map and sprites, you now have a 3D map and models. Is this an improvement? It does look better. There are no guides in English except on cheat codes. Some basics the game doesn't tell you; how you recruit and that you continously need to recruit. This is also a big drawback of the game; having tu run back to recruit feels like a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started King's Bounty II today. After 90 minutes of play, I guess it's pretty okay...I'm a little miffed that the game is forcing me to remember things without a glossary to refer to 😑 Anyways, here is Countess Katharine, a mage and all around girlboss...some might even call her bitchy 😂

I deeply appreciate the people who've popped by to see me play this game. I know it's probably not the most exciting thing in the world but it's very dear to me. ❤️
positive · AI labelView post →King’s Bounty: Armored Princess is a tactical role-playing game that successfully builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, King’s Bounty: The Legend, while injecting enough new elements to stand on its own. Developed by Katauri Interactive, this standalone expansion blends strategic turn-based combat, hero development, and exploration with a whimsical fantasy world that’s packed with personality and charm. While it retains the core mechanics of the original game, it also refines…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Songs of Conquest is outstanding from top to bottom. Best King's Bounty / Heroes of Might and Magic game yet, and they've got a great pipeline of very reasonably priced DLC on the way too.
positive · AI labelView post →Earliest memories of video games were titles such as Aztec, Spy vs Spy, Frogger, King's Bounty. But what really got my eight year old mind captivated on a summer vacation in the 80s was Elite on C64. I've spent hours into the night trying to get as far away from Lave as possible, all while trying to make some profit on hauling food and computer parts. I did not understand the concept of saving and loading a saved game back then, so there was a lot of trial and error into permadeath involved.
neutral · AI labelView post →It is a solid game. Pros.: - Revamp of the old franchise. - Development of the overall gameplay. - Story. - Neat to play and go through everything. Cons.: - Sometimes it feels the game forces you to spend time on it instead of speeding up the progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful settings, seems a bit cartoon like at first but that will pass. Every control is thought through, nice quests, fighting is the core and soul of the game. Building ur skills, ramping up the army, all is well balanced. First three games are clearly the best, the later ones feels a bit like rip-offs made by the programmers 14 year old kids. I've played the first 3 several times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best game ever made.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would not recommend this game as it is now, the new updates have ruined the game. Before the updates you could play the game for hours without any problems now you play for a few hours and the game suddenly crashes for no reason.

neutral · AI labelView post →#03 King's Bounty (1/2) I know the cover looks like a cheap Wimmelbild game, but bear with me: imagine Heroes of Might and Magic blended with more RPG elements and one singular world and campaign. For me this improved the formula to perfection. The strategic element isn't limited to battles.

neutral · AI labelView post →It's been a few years since I finished the first game ("the Legend"), and while in my memory the first game was a bit better, Armored Princess gives you exactly what you expect from a sequel. A new world, new units, some new mechanics and some more story. The main story is pretty basic. You venture into a new world to collect the stones of power so that you can save your homeland from a demon invasion. The writing is never too deep, but the sidequest do have some entertaining storylines…
