Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 98 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (143 of 255 positive).
Many players enjoy the core gameplay and find it fun and relaxing. [1][2][3] A significant number of reviewers report that the game is very buggy and feels unfinished. [4][5][6][7] Several players are disappointed that co-op mode was advertised but not available at launch. [1][8][9]

I bought Pizza Slice to play co-op with a best friend . We both paid and downloaded the game, only to find out the co-op mode is not available in the build just yet it says coming soon how soon I have no idea. The store page and purchase flow never mentioned that. That is a real problem and should be clearly stated before people buy. The game itself is not bad. The mechanics are solid and the art has charm. It has …

The core gameplay loop is fun and the custom pizza feature makes it a different experience to other pizza makers out there. You can sell none pizza with left meat or the cheesemaxer if you want and customers will order it. The game had a super rough start which is where most of the negative reviews come from. Thing was obviously released in an unfinished state with co-op incomplete, game-breaking bugs and a WIP …

While I understand the criticism, Pizza Slice has provided me so much joy, that I'm willing to forgive a lot of the bugs. And honestly, luckily I didn't encounter that many bugs - and I've been playing this game since its release. Granted, it initially should have been released as an Early Access game, but I feel like the developers have been doing their best to listen and to patch, as well as improve, the game. For …

The game is misleading. My wife got this game for me and her and it turns out its not even possible to coop when its on the steam page its coop. I feel like the devs just baited people like why put it on the page when its not even available? If its in development then add it on your announcement not on the actual page where people would think its already part of the game. I just think its scummy to do. Very …

This game is full of bugs, including a bug that prevents you from saving properly for many players, meaning that every time you come back to it, you start over on Day 1 for your tasks but yet have the equipment you already got. It makes it impossible to progress, forcing you to restart. It seems that manual saves don't have as much as a problem as auto saves but its still a game breaking bug. The devs are aware of …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OH BOY, this is a messy one at best. I should have read the comments before getting this game. Definitely not worth the price of admission and barely a BETA at this point. The constant tasks (forced events) you need to accomplish preventing you to do the normal things you need to do like restock, purchase upgrades, go to the market. They add events breaking the game flow. One was to poison a specific customer but he never came. I also purchased a heat controller on my double oven and the next…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We really wanted to play with our friends in co-op mode. We were waiting for the day it came out, and we bought it as soon as it was released, but the lack of a co-op mode really disappointed us.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this game four chances — I started four separate playthroughs during the first week. It wasn’t my decision to release a full version of a product that is clearly still in beta. The hotfix barely fixes anything. At best, it lets you continue playing, but the overwhelming number of bugs and glitches is beyond my imagination. I do believe the game could eventually become good and enjoyable, but right now I’m restarting every in‑game day just to check whether some mission failed to trigger.…

Also, Hold down the dash button and you will continue Sprinting! Anyway, this game is great for a new release and I look forward to the tweaks as the devs work on it. I've played all of the pizza games, and this game is nice blend of complexity AND simplicity. I liked the cooking simulator pizza expansion, but some of the mechanics are just wonky...notrealistic... just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not waste your money, on this game. After 61 hours of game play the game is still buggy. Every time they do an update they break something, I don't know what but they do to the point you will have to restart from day 1 again. I got to day 10 yesterday on a brand new save the waiter is giving customers the wrong orders, when I made the one that was next in line at the top of my screen. This is the worst game development company I have ever seen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great concept love the cooking style and graphics but the bugs are too much. stuff glitches through the wall. soda machine invisible, in the current state I wouldn't recommend. This game needs a TON of work.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game concept cool and the gameplay was kinda fun but the bugs are not. Had to restart a couple times and it's still buggy. I'd wait a few months, check in with the community hub to see how playable it is for players at the time before making a purchase.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good game and chill to play but it needs a lot of bug fixes. the amount of bugs is worse than an early access literally missed up your campaign so wait till its ready then play. until the bugs are fixed i will recommend the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like it a lot but it's pretty janky and the tutorial is really annoying about forcing you to do a bunch of things you don't want to do, like spend $200 of your first dollars on extra containers when you already started with plenty. I was also playing on 'cozy' difficulty yet day 2 I had 3 customers come in at once which was not very cozy feeling, and you can't put a pizza down on the counter next to the table so I accidentally threw the pizza on the floor instead. That's when I quit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm giving this a cautiously positive review. I don't feel like this game is ready to be enjoyed by a wider audience. There are quite a lot of bugs and it feels like the game hasn't been properly tested. I love the concept and loop of the game but I'm not really up for doing beta testing for free. Several big features are missing, the campaign breaks, repeats itself or completely misses explanations for certain events at serveral times. It's very easy to accidentally break the tutorial, which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played til day 6. Logged off and tried to continue playing and it started the tutorial introduction while being on my previous save file. Tried to finish the tutorial but it soft locked me and now I can not continue the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HI DEVELOPERS.. I KNOW CO-COP IS COMING SOON BUT CAN U MAKE IT MORE THAN 2 PLAYERS.. Love the cooking mechanics compared to other cooking simulator games but damn the inferno mode is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. hate the bugs but to be expected for a new game xx cheers mate Update: I will recommend the game if you are planning to play singleplayer - the cooking mechanics are really great and I like the visuals. I will be anticipating for the co-op mode and hopefully it will allow more than 2 players! Would…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great little relaxing game about making pizza and more ;) I still haven't tried the multiplayer mode, similar to Hell's Kitchen. I hope there will be enough players so I can try it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to enjoy Pizza Slice, but in its current state I can't recommend it. I tested both single-player and co-op. Since co-op was only recently added, I expected some bugs and rough edges. Unfortunately, there were far too many issues for it to feel reliably playable. What surprised me more was the state of single-player. I expected it to be the more stable experience, but after reaching the waitress stage, my save became effectively soft-locked. I reloaded multiple times, tried…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely loved the demo and purchased this game Day One. I wasn't able to play until today, and I am stuck on Day 4. Day 4 starts with Day 3 dialog (Alfonso offers ingredients to create a new pizza) with Day 4's quest objective (Go to the Store). The Hotfix Devs mentioned to fix this issue apparently did not work. The demo was more polished than this official release. There are still the pepper chopping bugs (which I did mention in the after demo questionnaire), and the pizza paddle is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pizza Slice has a lot of charm and clear potential, but right now it feels more like an early draft than a finished game. On the positive side, the atmosphere is genuinely enjoyable. There’s a cozy, laid-back vibe that makes the experience pleasant to sink into. The pizza-making process is surprisingly detailed, which adds a satisfying, hands-on feel to the gameplay. Paired with its cartoonish art style, the game manages to create a fun and approachable identity. However, the issues are hard…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game the only problem I think is it’s a little too short. I think it was 20 days 21 days. It took me to beat the whole game or beat the other pizza company out. I should say doesn’t really give you enough time to buy all the kitchen supplies to upgrade your kitchen and then when I go to play the unlimited or never-ending part it continues to revert back to the last day that was auto saved. so I can’t keep continuing unless I leave it on 24 seven but it’s a great game. It’s fun. I…

positive · AI labelView post →Its a cool game but there are too many bugs right now for me to recommend, I'll come back to it later and see if things have improved
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is super fun and has a lot of possibilities, but unfortunately it's too buggy. I haven't experienced any bugs in game, rather FPS bugs that are too much to handle. I streamed it and barely had 50 fps with a really good PC. I wish this got resolved because the game has so much potential!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable in co-op. This game runs poorly, even on lowest settings i get fps stuttering and sudden drops, cant get past 70fps either. Co-op barely works, not-synced containers with toppings, totally different sauces visible, different amount of % that affect the overall rating of customer so you cannot split work between your friends the way one is preparing doughs and puts sauces and other puts toppings, because the sauces % are not synced and you will get ♥♥♥♥ rating from customer.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game but there's still a lot of bugs. Hard to maintain the flow since it's super buggy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really fun! Played it with my husband for nearly 3 hours and we are hooked! Didn't experience any bugs except one. Other than that it ran perfectly fine. I love that if you drop something on the floor you can't use it again. The graphics are really good and a cute style. I love that it has a challenge to it and it's not your typical grind of food simulator game. I really love that you can make your own pizzas! We ran our store just on our own creations. Can't wait to see what we…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Served 5 pizzas before the game broke and couldn't pick anything up or take pizza out the oven
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the ingredients it got moved from the storage to back door and juice machine is not showing in the co-op one of us cant see and the other can see.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game. Played the demo and got excited about another cooking game to add to my collection. Unfortunately, I will have to give it a thumbs down because of the glitches around health inspections. I have clean all the dishes, mop when there a mess, and don't have any food that's spoiled yet I am always failing inspection causing me to go bankrupt. Until this is fixed, I will not be playing this game again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I would have liked this game but this game needs optimization. The frame drops were too much for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looked really promising, but the end result is a huge disappointment. The technical quality is terrible, a lot of bugs and even the most basic feature, saving, is not working. Gameplay itself is also mediocre. There are a lof of ingredients, but basially we only have place for 8, so you end up doing the same pizzas over and over again for most of the game. There are some improvements but they are almost irrelevant for the gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun and challenging; however, there are still some bugs. I played until day 13 and had to keep starting the day over because prompts were not showing up. Also, after day 13, my game reset on its own, and I lost all progress. Unfortunately, I had to restart. The game is still good, don't get me wrong, it just has minor issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has TONS of potential to be fun and entertaining, but the bugs are off the charts at this point. I have tried restarting at day 1 only to either have the same issues come up or have some new bug get in the way of enjoying the game. Unless there are some major updates, this game isn't worth playing or paying for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love what this game is all for in principal. Day 3 my game gets hard-locked. Cut the 3 ingredients and place them in the containers and it doesn't recognise they're all in containers when I put them there. Hardlocks me from continuing, tried twice. Refunded it. Can't justify only getting less than an hours worth of play and a serious bug stopping me. Whereas other reviews mention getting 10 days of in game play. Otherwise if I got 10 days, I would keep my purchase. Will change this review…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great simulator! I think the early-game is a bit tedious with all the prep work you need to do, but overall there is a LOT of QoL features baked-in that make this game a step above other cooking sims. The auto-stocking being one. As a streamer, I think the Twitch Integration is a great launch feature, but the way it is integrated is a bit nonsensical. 1) it does an auth-style connection that prompts Twitch for a connection to track subs, follows, etc. and 2) it only adds Twitch viewers to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly Pizza Slice turned out to be a really fun and chill game. You basically run your own little pizzeria — making pizzas, serving customers, buying new stuff for the kitchen, and slowly turning the place into something bigger. It’s simple to get into, but still feels rewarding when you start upgrading things and getting faster and better. The whole vibe is super cozy and kinda funny at times. There are random events, competition, inspections and other small surprises that keep the gameplay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way too many bugs for this to be released. you cant even free play after the campaign as it stops saving.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I already liked the demo version of this game, but a lot has changed, and now I’m enjoying it even more. Let’s see what the future holds for us. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is so undercooked. The bugs amass with every day. Playing co-op is painful. For example you can't put back tools, ingredients tend to disappear and display differently for the players. The loop is unrewarding and grindy. Every day looks almost the same.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cant progress the game or even upgrade tool in this game since it "BUG" wasted my money progression in-game buying a new mixer and when i came back to the kitchen theres nothing??? trying to refund this garbage but im too late sadly

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thos game is great ! i dont understand why people domt like the game ! its alit of fun i m teally enjoying it ! and they devs fixed alot of bugs and tge fos drops ! game is very smooth now i was wondering are we going to be able to to sluces of pizza as well and take outs !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty sure my game is bugged I fail every health inspection. I get attacked by the other pizza place daily on easy. Game suddenly raises the price on a mozzarella cheese 350% and it hasn't gone back down. I don't want to have to remake the entire menu the basics should be there. Maybe let me hire a worker since you can't play multiplayer. I haven't tried it, but many other reviews saying it's not available. I can't buy new equipment because I get fined every other day. I wouldn't be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If PlateUp wasn't a roguelike and the only dish was pizza The pizza-making and organizing of supplies is extremely satisfying, and it's very immersive with the graphics and animations. The game is obviously still buggy, and the tutorials don't match the content of the game in several places. There's no save function - it should be something like retro rewind's timestamp save function to be honest - but despite this, I'm having a ton of fun - and I think the game has more to come It was just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I made the mistake of purchasing this game. Yes it has style, the pizza making mechanics are fun but it is hampered extremely by bugs and impossible progression due to story triggers unable to be triggered. This was sold as a full release title. I felt scammed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Changing review to positive as promised. Even though the Devs did a lot of delay while kept saying "update will come soon"... It's not about only giving the update quickly or slowly. It's about the words that they were saying. The attitude of giving hope and then breaking the hope-- it is not good.. Complains aside -- yeah, they've finally fixed the game breaking bugs and now the game is playable in endless mode ONLY after completing the campaign of 21 days. The Co-Op mode is avaibale as well…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME HARD AS ♥♥♥♥ IF U GET PASS DAY 16 LMK BRO
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too buggy right now to buy (the demo is more playable); I can't get past the start of the second day because it won't let me buy the extra containers required by the tutorial. EDIT: For those having the same problem I was. You have to hold down 'E' for some time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, for a bit. I`am not familiar with this genre and being the first time there is just too much to do. Even on easy mode is a little embarassing, other restaurants attacking you while you need a jackpot to atack them and ps. the bomb don`t don`t work as well for me as it work`s for them. It was really fun to play for 2 or 3 ours, I already uninstalled and asking for a refund. 60FPS for this is just embarassing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the art and gameplay. A basket for carrying items would be better than being limited to three at a time. Instead of others I did not encounter with any bugs. It has potential. You can checkout the gameplay below; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQIIOkwA4WA&t

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried the demo about a month ago and it convinced me to buy day 1. think it's worth it. While my original save got locked, the patch that was just released fixed this problem. I was frustrated but decided to carry on with a restart. Once you find a groove, it's fun and slightly fast paced gameplay. I've enjoyed games similar to this in the past and I hope to see further development in the future!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game design is absolutely beautiful, but there some bugs. Sometimes cutscenes don't happen after a new day and the time never progresses, so you can't start a day and can't continue without restarting your game. Overall, this game has a beautiful design, a wonderful premise, and fun gameplay.
