They are focusing on the wrong things. You could add 100 new classes with skills and whatever, it doesnt matter. What the game needs is actual content. There are like 16 story missions you can play, and some of them are variants of maps you have already played. There is a severe lack of content regarding missions, progression of character, replayability etc. It feels lazy. Don't get me wrong, some things about this …

EDIT: I've swapped from a 7900 XTX to a 4080. Wow. It's a HUGE difference. The game still needs DLSS as a crutch, but many of the lag issues are resolved by using an nVidia card. The experience is definitely night and day. So... RTX card? Sure, maybe get this game on sale. AMD however... steer clear unless you're fine with tons of setting adjustments and editing your .cfg's for every single update, big or small. …

Probably the best horde shooter ever made. Everything from the maps, classes, weapons, enemies and music oozes 40k atmosphere, almost on par with Owlcat's Rogue Trader. The combat is seemingly simple but has incredibly high skill ceiling which is supported by a vast amount of difficulty options and map modifiers so you can play as casually or sweaty as you like. As much as this pains me because I do truly love the concept of this game & it can be fun when it functions properly, but I do not care for Fatshark as a Developer for a myriad of reasons (I'll get into this later on). I'm really torn somewhere in the middle with this decision. This review would be more in the 'mixed category,' but since there's only two options... So, with a heavy heart... I do not recommend this game & I'll explain my reasoning as to why here in a bit. Plus, to possibly save…

I like the game but the community sucks. I had one game where I wasn't at my best and my "team" refused to revive me. Bear in mind I got knocked about 3 times. They just started insulting me in chat and effectivly didnt let me play. I would like a single player feature so I can avoid this horrific community, otherwise its not very fun to play.

Fun game, fun classes. No solo mode is unacceptable, however. Vermintide II had a wonderful solo mode and bot support. You have a private server function in this one, yet require a second player to use it for no reason. Less features then predecessors is not acceptable.

Fire your CEO and most of your executives because this is just insane. You are KILLING something with huge potential, which is 100% on the leadership. The gameplay is excellent, the ambiance is great, the scenery is incredible, and they get the setting right. But it just begins to feel like the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. They've focused more on making sure the in-game cosmetic purchases work 100 percent at a high price than fixing bugs and expanding the game.…

TL;DR - wait 2 to 3 more years before you buy this game, or at least until fatshark decides to address these issues. I want to start this review by saying that I love this game. I've run hundreds and thousands of auric level mission, I've maxed out the levels of both base and DLC classes, I was even there when you only get one talent point for every 5 levels, when the weapon system overhaul was implemented, and even when the penance system was introduced. This game runs absolutely bloody horrendous on AMD devices. FPS randomly drops from 140+ to 20 whenever you move your mouse, Ray Tracing is forced on by default even if you turn it off in the settings (you have to go into game files to turn it off). There are supposed fixes (which also involve going into game files to change things that the devs weren't bothered to do???) but your mileage may vary, they didn't do anything for me in the slightest. Absolute waste of money and time, if you don't…

I love this game, but the shop rotation annoys me. I want cosmetics but refuse to buy any as long as that sort of predatory monetization remains. Will change review if the shop improves. While I'm at it... Arbites and future classes should be more unique and balanced on release. More biomes, more weaponry, more ship areas, more classes, enemies, bosses, all good stuff. Oh, and give us a reason to grab scriptures/grims at some point. And if AMD GPUs could use some optimization, that would be…

An absolute blast wrapped in a ticking time bomb of broken code. First off, huge thanks to my brother for gifting me this game—the core cooperative gameplay, combat loop, and atmosphere are genuinely incredible. When you drop into a match, the action is top-tier. Don't get me wrong here, the game really is fun, but it doesn't really seem like fatshark is all that invested in working on anything meaningful except for new DLC characters. They haven't added earnable cosmetics in forever, and at time of writing, they are gearing up to release the third DLC character. Pros: -Music, sound -Locations -Meaty action -Char banter -Easy to get into -Gives challenge, if desired -Events and updates are relatively often. Cons -Customisation bought via in game currency is too flat (red gun or blue gun, green pants or camo pants) -Some events are not bad (new map, new boss) and some are boring (gather amoun of something), and rewards are near useless, unless you are new to the game. -Trapper's net sound may haunt your dreams.

The core of the game is pure FUN! But for the life of me, I can't get a stable FPS. It fluctuates wildly, jumping anywhere from 20 to 100 FPS, with an average range of 20 to 47. I've tried playing on low and high settings, and I don't use ray tracing. Even when the FPS is on the higher side, the game still stutters! I've tried following optimization guides and reinstalling the game. I really want to recommend this game I really do because it's incredibly fun when it actually works.

The game -COULD- be really fun, but it has the same problem as Vermintide 2 where every single random you play with has this urge to rush through the level either leaving you alone to deal with everything, or they just die off in the distance by themselves. Great game, consistently terrible optimization. Runs like total ♥♥♥♥ even on the lowest settings and the launcher frequently has issues. Still defaults to 16 core use when I only have 6.

Blessed be the cogitators. Blessed be the Tech-Priests who coded these long nights of purgation. Blessed be the servers of Fatshark, who in their toil for the Machine God have wrought something worthy of the name grimdark. I have spent 1,143 hours in the underhive of Tertium upon the ash-choked world of Atoma, and I have not yet tired of the slaughter. That, by itself, is a miracle worth recording in the annals. Let this review stand as a hymn of praise — and, Emperor-willing, a thing of use…

PROS: + beautiful and immersive graphics + lots of voiceovers with amusing banter and tidbits of lore + super fun gameplay loop + great feeling of progression (leveling and mechanics knowledge) + friendly community + very enjoyable with friends + devs are constantly balancing and slowly pushing out new content + moddable for QoL changes + LOTS of difficulties/challenges to master CONS: - can feel overwhelming to new players (there's a lot to learn about weapon stats, enemy types, and game…

Leaving a review to counter some of the negative reviews, which doesn't properly reflect the game as a whole and is only a kneejerk reaction to a recent patch (from a particular region of players). Balance changes + nerfs are 100% the right first step towards fixing the broken parts of the game. I haven't used or played with certain weapons/builds for a long time; I'm excited to go try them again after the upcoming changes. Love this game. Yes it has many annoying bugs, some egregious balance…

I love how insanely board games stretch fictional time. We played this five hour game of Warhammer 40,000 (Kill Team). Epic, thrilling, full of suspense. My brother in christ, in reality it would be like 30 seconds.

tl;dr the game is great. the performance is terrible. let me start by saying this: i love darktide. the game itself is fantastic and i have very few issues with the game part of the game. i cannot say the same about the actual quality of the game as a piece of software however. it is sluggish at the best of times and outright unplayable at the worst. im writing this after a game in which major stutters and disconnects were present nigh constantly throughout (im pretty sure a teammate was also…

THE GAME: Warhammer 40,000 is a squad-level minatures game, which means it is about moving little men across a table which represents part of a planet and pretending that the little men are shooting and punching each other. Jules Verne did this too, so it's intellectual

love the game so far but my GOD they have to make a longer tutorial for people because quickplay is a coinflip between good teammates and someone who eats dirt
